Situated in Del Monte Forest, this attractive condo for $343 per night is a great option for your next trip. Behind a charming garden gate, through your own private entrance is a cozy retreat conveniently located just 1 mile from the village of Carmel-By-The-Sea. Our very spacious studio is a pleasant walk or quick drive to exceptional restaurants, shops & galleries and beautiful beaches and all that Carmel and that the Monterey Peninsula has to offer. Our studio is tastefully done with warm Provencal colors. The king size bed is so cozy with alpaca pillow top and down comforter. You'll enjoy a quiet & peaceful night's sleep and wake up rested for a great day's adventure. Enjoy having your own favorite coffee or tea on the patio bistro table with some great pastries from the popular local bakeries.. In the late afternoon a glass of wine from from the own local award winning wineries along with some cheeses. Enjoy a perfect get-away for a birthday, anniversary or special week-end or week. Absolutely the cutest cottage we have stayed in over the years! Barb did not miss a thing! The location was quiet about a mile out of town… but if your young you can easily walk to town thru beautiful tree lined streets. If you drive it there are many streets to park on that do not have time frames and it’s great for a day of window shopping and eating! The food in Carmel is unbelievable… so many choices….ALL GOOD! Then coming back to the cottage to rest & relax is a joy♥️ perfect owners for a perfect cottage experience!

The cottage is located on a quiet street in the backyard of the owner’s home. We were greeted with a personalized note, a bottle of wine, croissants, along with snacks and a few water bottles. The property is walking distance to Carmel Beach and all the shops and restaurants. It is an easy drive to Monterey and we did a day trip going down PCH to Big Sur taking in beautiful coastline views and trail hikes. The listing showed a laundry icon but you had to click on view details to see it was directions to a laundromat. The cottage would be better with cross ventilation or air conditioning. A fan was provided to reduce the warmth built up through the day.

My fiance and I stayed here for Rennsport and we're so glad we booked this place to stay. The cottage had it's own walkway and the property was located in a quiet neighborhood, while also being a 15 minute drive from the racetracks / 20 minutes to downtown Monterey.
Barb met us the first day and gave us the details about where to eat/what to do in the area. The cottage was had everything two people needed to cook a good breakfast and bird watch from the patio. The bathroom had a skylight and felt very roomy. We loved the chicken farmhouse theme of the whole cottage.
The only slight challenge was very slow Internet. It was enough to load the text of an email in about 3 minutes, but no images or video. Data is also extremely spotty both in the neighborhood and in Carmel, the nearest town. So if you need to be online for work or access any online entertainment to wind down your day, there isn't much of a solution.
The cottage is a bit of a walk from downtown Carmel, especially with some steep hills, but it was also refreshing to not have to find parking when we went into town for dinner.
Overall a really charming location! A sweet spot for a quiet getaway.

Never have I ever imagined that a host would go to the lengths that Barb did. She had so many little treats around to make her guests feel right at home. The unit is private, beautifully decorated, well-maintained, well-located and cozy. I can't wait to return. Hands down, this is a five star stay!

We had a lovely stay in Barb’s backyard cottage. It was very private and quiet. The amenities and snacks were a wonderful addition to the cozy cottage. The bed was extremely comfortable. Barb made sure to check in with us that everything was great and was available if needed but also respected our space. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Barb has provided a beautiful vacation rental filled with all sorts of items that make the studio welcoming. From the wine and the treats to the exceptional amount of crockery and kitchen utensils, you will want for nothing. Did I mention the comfortable bed?
We can highly recommend a stay her and, if ever we ever pass this way again, we would not hesitate to stay.

This was a wonderful spot for our week long vacation to the central coast of CA. It was quiet location that was so peaceful and well equipped for all of our travels in the area. Barb was a great host offering tips for the area. Everything was very clean and larger than the photos! We would highly recommend this property.

We have been coming to Monterey Car Wwek for 20 years and this has been our best VRBO location! A wonderful and convenient location- a perfect place to relax after the hectic pace during the day. Barb is a gracious host and made us feel right at home. If your travel plans include Carmel you definitely should consider this lovely cottage!

We stayed in this comfortable cottage to attend four wonderful choral concerts at the Carmel Bach Festival. During the day we enjoyed the peaceful solitude of the cottage, or walked wooded paths into town, and walks along the sea and throughout the interesting neighborhoods of Carmel. The cottage is totally private and quiet of all sounds other than many many birds who delighted us with their aerial antics and flight paths. The amenities are more than we needed, and the bed is very very comfortable!

We came to Carmel for the Women’s US Open and were able to stay 10 days! Barb was great, and very accommodating when we needed to add the extra days. We loved this cottage. It was very quiet, comfortable and cozy! We will definitely book again when we come back to Carmel. Close to everything

The cottage was very nice. We appreciated the wine and croissants.Barb was great at getting back to us when we had questions. My only complaint was that there were a lot of decorations and not a lot of space to put our belongings. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay.

We had a great time staying in this cosy tiny house on Barb’s property. She thought of everything when designing and stocking it, and made sure our stay was fantastic. She even went out of her way to greet us and see if we needed anything, as she was on her way out of town. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Barb and her husband were such lovely hosts to us the week of our wedding! We stayed here for three nights prior to moving locations and the cottage was perfect! It’s a studio but feels very spacious and is fully stocked with a kitchenette and anything else you could need. The gardens are so beautiful as well- easiest decision we made all week!

We stayed in Barb’s cottage for three wonderful days and loved the comfort and cleanliness. The location was quiet and easy walk to everything in town , the room was very comfortable and we made our breakfast and dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. Barb is a wonderful host and greeted us with wine and treats ! My only suggestion for improvement would be to declutter the room and tables a bit, so there are more surfaces the guests could use .

Beautiful cottage, perfectly appointed. The hosts provide absolutely everything we could possibly need during our stay; Cozy robes, blankets, several ways to make coffee :) Full kitchen perfect for making breakfast. The bed is AMAZINGLY comfortable. The patio and garden is just charming, we loved it!

We stayed at this lovely property for 3 nights and it was the perfect size for my husband and I. Barb had the cottage beautifully decorated and it was very clean. She left us some delicious croissants for breakfast and the wine and snacks were very much appreciated. The outside garden area shows the hosts love of gardening and we have never seen so many orchids that were blooming. We would definitely stay here again.

We found this adorable cottage in Carmel. It was a nice, 2 day very relaxing place to take a break from our drive from Iowa to meet iour daughter and family on the Oregon coast.

My wife and I stayed here for 12 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Barb is a very thoughtful hostess and has supplied the cottage with everything one could need. The bed was quite comfortable (not too soft) and the shower was outstanding.. Due to the unusually wet weather we couldn't make much use of the patio but the landscaping and birds (thanks to the feeders) added to the overall ambiance of the cottage. It's in a very quiet location (behind and downhill from the main house) but has easy access to the center of town and to Highway 1.

Had a lovely time in comfortable and peaceful cottage behind main house. 20 minute walk to downtown, 30 minute back uphill. Delicious drinks and food downtown, gorgeous beach! Thoughtful owner, fully equipped and stocked kitchen. Enjoyed my stay and hoping to return in the future!

We had a wonderful time. The cottage is lovely, so charming, full of light! Barb is a wonderful host. The space is beautifully decorated and cares for. Although the weather wasn’t conducive to sitting outside, we still enjoyed viewing the outside terrace. We can’t say enough positive things about our stay!
