About this house rental
Nestled in Lake Erie, this attractive house for $683 per night is a great choice for your next break. PLEASE NO SUNDAY CHECK IN ! This Home has what you need to enjoy Lake St. Clair! First, toys! We have a 13 passenger pontoon boat, jet skis, (promise 1, usually 2) . We've also added a floating dock for the jetskis. Two 10 ft kayaks, and a canoe is there for your enjoyment.(note you need to have a watercraft safety license to drive the boat and jetski-not hard to get, but a Michigan requirement or from your state) Next- Plenty of Parking- a rarity on the water. Easily accommodate 8 vehicles or trailers. Third, on the water- 2 boat wells, and 55'of seawall to tie up to. There are 2 boat launches less than 2 miles away- Decker;s Landing and the Fair Haven DNR site. The home is 2000 sq. foot and has many recent updates- sprinklers, new large fully equipped granite kitchen with new black stainless appliances. Fully equipped kitchen means, a performance blender to make your smoothies, a Keurig for your coffee, hot chocolate and tea, along with a crock pot, dual deep fryer, hotel style waffle maker, food processor, kitchen Aid mixer, toaster, and stainless steel pots and pans. New hardwood floors, laundry room off kitchen with new washer and dryer. Central Air, a deck, fire pit and Barbeque grill, smoker and a turkey fryer along with power at the water. Bedrooms are as follows, Master Bdrm has lake view and 1 king, 2nd Bdrm has 1 queen and 1 full size sofa couch, 3rd Bdrm 1 queen and 4th Bdrm 2 bunks- 1 full and 3 twin. Sleeps 12 with out using Living Room or floor! All bedrooms have 40 " flat screen and 55" 4k flat screen in Living Room. Internet and Cable. Beautiful sunset over the water and swimming at the end of the street or behind the house. A great place for FISHING-perch/pickerel/walleye/trout/salmon/bass and sturgeon! Also, if you have your own boats and don't need our watercraft, in season rate is $325.00/night(MEMORIAL DAY/LABOR DAY WEEKEND 438.00 AND INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND $507.00). off season rate $200/night as of October 1st and no boat or jetski as they are getting winterized. WE ARE UNABLE TO HAVE ANY PETS! TOTAL OF 12 PEOPLE! . NO EVENTS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED! NO PORTA-JOHNS ONSITE! AS OF 2022--NO FIRE PIT DUE TO FIRE ORDINANCES WITH VACATION RENTALS IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR OWN BOAT THE TOWNSHIP IS REQUIRING LIABILITY INSURANCE! IF YOU'RE BOOKING OUR HOME WITH THE PONTOON/JETSKIS, OUR INSURANCE COMPANY REQUIRES US TO ORIENTATE YOU TO THE BOATS. WE PROVIDE AN INITIAL ORIENTATION WITH EVERY RENTAL. IF YOU NEED ADDITIONAL ORIENTATIONS, THERE IS A $100.00 FEE. BEST TO HAVE "ALL" YOUR GUESTS ARRIVE AT THE SAME TIME AND YOU WILL NOT INCUR ANY ADDITIONAL ORIENTATION FEES. Mark and Joyce are wonderful host. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable with all the water toys and needs you might have. Everyone in our group had a great stay from all ages. House is fully stocked with everything you need for meals and grilling. We will definitely be coming back to see the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen. We weren't expecting anything fancy. The size of the house and accommodations were adaquate. The main reason we booked this house was for the boats. That really made our gathering fantastic. Our hosts Mark and Joyce were wonderful too. They met us personally when we got there and even helped me unload all my food from the car! They went above and beyond to respond to every need and answer every question. I would book with them again.

Our 10 day vacation was wonderful! This 4 bedroom home is spacious and so very well equipped. All 8 of us were very comfortable.
The location on a short canal off of the lake is great with so many watercraft to enjoy the lake and adjoining marshes.
The landlords Mark and Joyce could not have been more friendly, attentive and cooperative!

From renting to checkout, the process was simple. 10 of us stayed here age 7+. Marc and Joyce are absolutely wonderful hosts! They’re very fast at getting back with you. Super knowledgeable about the area. The orientation for the pontoon and jet skis was easy and painless. It definitely got us all more comfortable with the equipment. I only had one issue the whole week with the jet ski (my fault weeds got stuck in the intake) Marc and Joyce was there within 30 minutes to help us solve the issue.
House: the location is perfect! You can watch the sunset at the end of the lane and it’s a breathtaking view. The canal was wide enough to easily navigate through with the pontoon, jet skis and our own fishing boat. The house came fully equipped and when I say that, I mean it. They had all the essentials plus some! They provided so much more compared to other rentals we’ve had. Kitchen is very spacious. Plenty of dining room seating. Plenty of couches for family movie night. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of sheets/blankets available. The room with the couch is the warmest room in the house, nothing a fan didn’t fix. The yard is spacious enough for yard games and kids running around.
Fishing: The kids (7,8 &9) had a blast outback fishing. We caught so many bluegill and their beds are right in front of the house. On the lake we wasn’t able to catch much. We used wax worms and night crawlers all week. We was able to catch a few bass too.

We had such a great time! The house is exactly as advertised in pictures. The best part of renting this home is being able to use the pontoon boat and jet skis. Mark (owner) is very knowledgeable about the lake and gave us several good options of places to check out. The house was perfect for 2 families of 4 with little kids included. The littles all had a great time on their first boat ride. Mark and Joyce were great hosts and we hope to go back sometime. Thanks!

This is a great home for visiting the lake. You get a pontoon boat and jet skis with the rental which is why we rented. They made the trip so fun!! The house was comfortable with great beds, showers and living room. I do think there are a few things that could make everyone’s stay even nicer. Power washing the outside of the house, spraying for spiders and deeper cleaning. Overall we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you for having us!! Mark and Joyce are incredible renters!!!

What a blast!!!!
We had a wonderful time. The owner took well over 2 hours training us in use and safety of the jet skis and the pontoon boat. We have rented boats previously that were well used and showed it. These boats were in very good condition and well maintained. Had the owner not taken that much time with us, this 65 year old novice would not have attempted going on a jet ski for the first time. But this grandma did it and had the time of my life. Now my granddaughters can tell their friends that their grandma is cool. Thank you Mark! The house was large and well stocked with all the thing needed in the kitchen and bath rooms. Just bring your suit and enjoy.

The house would have been great had it been cleaned. It wasn't just surface cleaning, it was mold under the faucet in the kitchen, the downstairs bathroom toilet was so gross. The tub fills up with water when you take a shower. Almost every single dish in the cabinet was dirty. Like not "dishwasher didn't get it" dirty, it was like it was used and put away without attempting to clean it. The upstairs is soooo hot that you wake up needing a gallon of waterto drink. While the downstairs stayed cold. It is winter, so the heater really worked well upstairs. I feel they rely on the previous renter to clean and they just make sure the towels and sheets are cleaned. Because the sheets, towels and floors were clean. I did get a resolution in the beginning of our stay when it was mentioned the first few things we noticed. But we left a night early and let the owners know why and all we received was "sorry it was not right for you". I would not recommend this place if you are seeking to stay somewhere clean and that follows COVID regulations for vacation rentals. If the above does not bother you, then this place may be right for you.

Great place to stay for a weekend of fishing.
A few friends and I enjoyed our stay here. The best part was there was plenty of dockage space for our fishing boats and quick access to the lake. It's a no-frills place, but clean and had all the basic amenities you'd expect. That's all we wanted or needed. Mark and Joyce were good hosts. I'd stay there again for sure.

Lake St.Clair fishing
It was a very nice stay even though the weather did not cooperate. Mark and Joyce were both kind and helpful. Mark rode over to the boat ramp with me, back the boat in while I drove the boat to the house he drove my truck back. I consider that going above what is required. I would definitely stay here again, just pick a time when the weather is a little more predictable.
