Lugar encantador

Es un lugar maravilloso para desconectar, tranquilidad, sin cobertura, tiene varios paseos por los jardines y bosques perfectamente cuidados. La cabaña tenia todo lo necesario, chimenea de leña, cocina, bbq, leña, todo dispuesto para disfrutar. La anfitriona nos acogió y estuvo dispuesta para que no nos faltara de nada. Ubicación ideal para Sani Pass, excursiones, pesca...

Todo es muy rustico y autentico, se podria renovar alguna cosa pero no es necesario, es parte del encanto.

Lovley, lovely, lovely, we are planning our next break away at Mkomazana

Everything about the accommodation is excellent, we could not have asked for more, super clean warm and comfortable beds, super crisp white linen and warm duvets on the beds, there were lots of lamps etc. supplied in all the rooms to cope with the load shedding, including a two burner gas stove for emergencies. freshly bakes scones are delivered daily to the cottages, please remember to bring your own butter and jam to enjoy them! \The kitchen is very well equipped, and our cottage overlooked the dam so we had super views, wonderful bird watching opportunities. I would recommend Coot Cottage

Enjoyable

Location. Pleasantly rustic. superb walks in close proximity. Very friendly staff and lovely scones in the morning.

Buildings and facilities a little tired (paving outside our unit especially). Bars across some of the windows would go a long way to resolving the baboon problem and constant concern of invasion.

Rose cottage

Clean and comfortable bed, kitchen well stocked.

It was difficult reaching the manager before arrival. Bath in need of re-enameling. Outdoor area for braai is sub standard and so is the view. Not sure why Rose cottage is priced higher than the other that sleeps two.

Superb

Mkomozana is a quiet, peaceful haven on the Sani Pass road. It's a beautiful location in the mountains. The manager is very friendly and helpful and the scones in the morning are to die for!

Parts could do with some maintenance but that's a minor quibble.

Tranquil cottage in the mountains

We loved the tranquility and being surrounded by mountains. Betty gave us a warm welcome and gave us advice on restaurants and activities. It was great that the Sani pass tour vehicle could pick us up at our accommodation and that we did not have to travel to Underberg to join the tour.

The bathroom door latch was difficult to close and open so we used a piece of carton between the door and frame to close which was easier. The bathroom window did not have a latch so we had to close the window because of the baboons and therefore the bathroom could not be ventilated before we went out for the day.

Exceptional

We liked the history behind the place as well as the peaceful setting. The Bar area was very unique and inviting. The host is very friendly and helpful and we got freshly baked scons in the morning. :)

Lack of WiFi reception in the rooms. There is poor phone reception,but you have to consider that you're in the nature and a very rural setting.

Value for money

We were welcomed by the Friendly Staff. Cottage was clean and neat. Well presented. Easy to find. We had delicious homemade scones for breakfast. Everything was great.

Excellent location and service

Great location!! Friendly service from Betty and cleaning staff. Electric blankets in each bed. Enjoyed the freshly baked scones provided. Fully stocked games room.

Need better heaters in the rooms apart from the electric blankets. Valley house bathrooms are slightly outdated.

Country Life

Location and setting is ideal for a quick escape from the city life. The peace and serenity is unmatched. Tucked away in the hills, you can't help but leave the city life behind you and take in the fresh air and magnificent views that surrounds you. Take a step back in time when life wasn't complicated. Forget about technology when you're here, this setting allows you to connect with your family and friends on a more meaningful level. Chill by the fireplace with a glass of your favourite potion and just unwind. Hosts are friendly and accommodating and make you feel right at home.
