The property has central heating to keep every room nice and toasty so you can have a warm and comfortable stay. During the day you can take a stroll through Blackheath village, browse through the antique and gift shops or indulge in a pastry and coffee at one of Blackheaths many fine cafes or award winning restaurants. Balgownie is a perfect place to make your base and explore the wonderful Blue Mountains. Within an easy drive to bush walks, lookouts, canyoning, and abseiling and much more, it is only a 10 min drive to Katoomba (The three sisters, echo point, skyway and the scenic railway), 40 min drive to Jenolan Caves and Zigzag Railway and a 30 min drive to Megalong Valley where you can enjoy horse riding.

My friends and I stayed there over the long weekend, the place is just perfect, very clean and tidy, it has everything you need! EVERYTHING, games, dvd's, books and more, it's close to all the lookouts and walking tracks, the kitchen has everything we need and more, we had a great time and hopefully we will rent the house again in the future. The owner was very helpful and professional. :)

Would highly recommend, clean, tidy, everything you require is included. Easy to find, plenty of off-street parking and only a 2 minute drive into Blackheath township. Was nice to walk in and the heating was already on Friday afternoon.

Balgownie Cottage is a gorgeous quintessential blue mountains property and wonderful home to stay in. The house is thoughtfully appounted and the kitchen well stocked will all the dishes and cooking equipment you could need. The heating system is very effective. Bedrooms are spacious and would suit two families (with the kids in a 4 share bunk room) or a group of friends. Highly reccomend.

We came from the city to relax, and the property was perfect for it. When not out and about, we watched tv, read books and enjoyed the warm floorboards, which were perfect as it was super cold outside.

No wifi No fans or cooling Was hard to cope up with the heat Drainage (shower/ kitchen)started to get blocked gradually. Tried sending a message to the number that’s been provided.... with no luck ..getting any answer back.
