About this house rental
The sun, soft sand and beautiful decor of this beach cottage is a perfect vacation spot for anyone. Just a short walk to this family beach awaits. In addition to the amazing location this home is complete with a screened-in porch and a cozy outdoor seating area. Our cottage features a large outdoor shower with a separate changing area, 4 flat screen TVs, washer/dryer and covered parking for up to 6 vehicles. Inside features vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, updated flooring in the main part of the house and bathrooms. 4 bedrooms - sleeps 9 and can sleep 10 with a roll-away twin bed and 2 bathrooms. **We do NOT provide linens, you need to bring your own sheets and towels. Or you can rent linens through CARE linen service (910)-619-7190 or email [email protected] or visit their website and order online.** The beds do have comforters and pillows, feel free to bring your own if you don't want to use what is on the beds. **RATES WILL BE UPDATED BY JANUARY 1ST for the upcoming year. If you are inquiring in advanced the rates are subject to change. Peak rental season will be a Saturday to Saturday rental and a 7 night minimum. Those dates will be from June-September THE PROPERTY *NOTE: Your safety and security matters, this property features an exterior security camera on the front porch. Bed descriptions for what linens to bring: Master Bedroom: King Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Bedroom 3: King Bed | Bedroom 4: Full Bed, Twin Bed, and another twin bed that can be set up with a foldable frame | Upon arrival you will be provided with a complimentary roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, paper towel roll and dishwasher pod in the kitchen. These are complimentary and not provided for your full stay. After a day of sun, salt, and sand shower off in our outdoor shower. Cook dinner in our equipped kitchen and dine inside at our table for six or on one of the three stools at the kitchen island. Don’t feel like eating inside, enjoy our table and chairs on the screened-in front porch. Don’t feel like cooking...there are many great restaurants around the area within 5-20 minutes drive. Want to eat at the Seafood Capital of the World head 20 minutes down the road to Calabash. Choose to dine at Waterfront Seafood Shack, Calabash Seafood Hut, or one of the city's other 5-star eateries, you're sure to find something to satisfy your taste buds. THE LOCATION With its spectacular soft white sand and south-facing location, Sunset Beach is ideal for fishing, swimming, relaxing ocean-side., or for viewing the sunrise and or sunset. We are just 3 streets over from the newly renovated pier. Whether you want to fish, learn about the history of Sunset Beach, or grab a bite to eat the pier is great little spot to visit. The pier has amazing food to grab and go or eat on the pier at their picnic tables. Low tide is amazing at Sunset, it creates tidal pools for little ones to swim, or relax with your chair or floats. Want to venture away from the beach... Perfect your swing at Oyster Bay Golf Links, one of the ''Best Public Golf Courses In North Carolina,' or at one of the area's other acclaimed courses like Thistle Golf Club! Or head south to Myrtle Beach packed with many activities for all. Take the kids to Putt Putt, go cart racing, or shop at their many outlets. This house has a perfect layout for 4 bedrooms/2 baths. Short walk to the beach and the fishing pier. A well stocked kitchen and a good fast Wi-Fi. Had a very good experience here.

It was a cute house and nice neighborhood. The family and I had a fabulous time. For our family the layout was perfect. The house did need a deep clean. Our family used to have a janitorial company and we except alittle more out of cleaners; like pulling out the couch and vacuuming behind it and under the cushions, especially the pull out couch. But overall I would stay here again.

Upon arrival the toilet was not functioning properly, had to plunge to get working. Left message with home owner and got a response of oh we had that issue with other toilet, think someone my have flushed something they shouldn’t have… plz let me know if any other issues. Found laffy taffy candy stuck to porch rug from previous guests. Second day around dinner time the A/C quit! Took multiple texts/calls to get a response from home owners on this issue and house was 83degrees. After being told someone would be out next morning and waiting extra hour past appt time and little concern from owners we opted to make other arrangements. All in all communication/ concern was very lacking on property owners part to their guests.

This was our first trip to sunset beach. We had a nice time but there are some weird beach rules and no direct access from a house on the beach.
Our property manager was very nice but the house was not very clean when we arrived, a new cleaning company might help.

The property was perfect for our friends getaway! Sunset Beach was wonderful and Sea Esta was a perfect, quiet place to reconnect and recharge! Very grateful for this time!

We had an amazing time. The house setup was perfect. The table height kitchen island is a great feature. It was sad to leave but there’s always next year!

We had a great time at our stay, however the cleanliness wasn’t as expected. When we arrived. One of the bathrooms in the rainbow room and king sized palm tress did not appear to be cleaned. We found hair in the shower, pee spots on the toilet seat and hair and stains on the mattress cover and comforter and bathroom smelled like it was wiped with an old towel. We were disappointed at that. The dishwasher front and fridge door were dirty when we got there. We had to wipe down the bathrooms and the kitchen prior to using. Then, the last night we were there, a cockroach crawled across the kitchen counter. The house was nicely decorated and very close to beach access.. those are the pros.

This house worked out well for our family. I was worried it would be too small for all of us but the addition of the screen porch made it perfect that be able to have adult time while the kids were in bed asleep. It was great to have the outdoor shower as well. The walk to the beach was very short and relatively easy, even for disabled family member. Sunset beach is a beautiful area and we got to see some beautiful sunsets and weather as well as a water spout for some drama

Property was exactly as advertised. Beds were comfortable, front porch is great to hang out on after the beach and the kitchen is well stocked. Close to the beach. Communication with the owner was flawless. Would stay here again....

A small group of longtime friends and 1 infant stayed here and had a fantastic time. (Note: The property didn't have any infant-related things; we checked ahead of time and brought our own.) Be sure to follow the rental agreement and bring your own towels & linens -- but otherwise you'll have everything you might need for a great stay!

We had a great week at Sea Esta in Sunset Beach! The house was comfortable for our group of 9, with plenty of room for meals and board games. The screened-in front porch added a lot of room, and gave us another space to hang out. The beach access was an easy 2 minute walk away. Would definitely stay again!!

The place is extremely nice and located less than a block from the beach. Neighborhood is quiet and very nice. We loved it here and would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

Enjoyed Sunset for our first time vacationing there!
We enjoyed our stay! House is in a nice location, although we had some rowdy neighbors. Kitchen could use some updating as far as kitchen utensils and cookware. The house was not clean. Microwave and coffee pot had to be cleaned and the refrigerator had to be wiped down prior to using. The floors had not been swept or mopped, and the carpet in the bedrooms had not been vacuumed. The furniture had not been dusted and the one couch cover was dirty and disarrayed. The bathrooms had been wiped down but that was it. The property is listed as not pet friendly but when cleaning the floors ourselves after check in, there was a lot of dog hair! We loved Sunset and will visit again, but will probably not look at this property again. The host however, was great to communicate with and was very prompt with responses and very nice!

It’s right down the street from the beach. Perfect walking distance. There is a clothes line outside by the shower to hang your towels on. The beds and pillows are comfy and there is plenty of kitchen supplies. It’s a very cute house.

The owner pro-actively contacted us about a potential carpet issue prior to our arrival and gave us the choice to have it addressed during our stay. The home is older and it shows but the price reflects that making it a good value. We would definitely stay there again.

Location location location… was a great spot to the beach access & pier access - took longer to walk over the dunes than to the access but that’s most Carolina beaches. Owner was fast to reply on things if needed. Would definitely consider renting in the future.

This home was the perfect set up and perfect location for my friends and I! The screened in porch allowed us to be “outside” on the rainy day we had and the proximity to the beach and large parking area was just what we need for our health needs. We’ll definitely be back!

We loved everything about Sunset Beach however we were surprised and disappointed in the rented property. The property appeared to be neglected and in need of maintanance. Grass over a ft high in front except where the cars had driven over it, dirt and debris in the cement patio areas, outside sink very dirty and not working, hose thrown on ground (safety issue), etc. The washer and dryer had to be cleaned before using, the beach chairs are rusty (thankfully we brought our own), the bikes included in the listing are not for use by the guests (included in the "rule book" in the house), covered porch (front) has large spider webs in the corners filled with spider eggs, tears in the screen made worse after the storm, The surface of everything inside had to be wiped cleaned before using (tables, chairs, dressers, counters) due to dust and debris. Windows and shades very dirty. I will note the kitchen and bathrooms were clean. I think with some attention to cleaning and maint this could be a great house to rent but would not want to rent it again in the same condition.
