Amazing property

The cottage was large and had plenty of room for everyone. It was away from everything and had an amazing view of horses. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights from out the back. Would go back again.

When checking out at 9am no one was around to accept the key so I had to leave it in the secure box near reception.

A lovely place

One of my favorite places. I stayed many times with groups here and all the tourists enjoyed to be hosted at this location. Clean, confortable, quite.

Roomy but dirty cabin

The cabin is roomy with enough seating for everyone, space for all the luggage and it's a big plus to have bathrooms in every room. A hot tub inside was appreciated when it was unseasonably cold and windy (there was hail at the end of May!).

There are a lot of things that could have made our stay and experience a lot better. This is not advertised as a luxury cabin, but I feel that some of these things could be, and should be, a bit better. For example: - There was almost no toilet paper in some of the bathrooms. Luckily we brought extra. - There were very few dishwasher tablets in the cabin. When we called the telephone given to ask for more, no one answered. We ended up buying more at Laugarvatn and took the rest home. - During our stay it was very windy and rainy. The "glass" ceiling/roof leaked a bit into the living room, among other places onto the couches. - The cabin was dirty, there were dust in so many places and the floor was filthy. Our socks turned grey/black and there were some empty candy wrappers on the floor of one of the rooms when we arrived. There were also some other minor things, but I feel that it's not necessary to list them up.

Wonderful place to stay!

This was a separate, 2-bedroom unit with a kitchen, balcony, and a hot tub. There were no restaurants close to here so we had brought food. There were plenty of plates, glasses, and silverware, as well as a good assortment of cookware. Stored our extra food in the fridge and froze ice for the next day. Hot tub was delightful - almost too warm but that is not a complaint. Beds were good but could not find pillowcases for the extra pillows. For clean-up, we did our dishes and brought our garbage up to the reception area (there were dumpsters).

I would have thought that they would have a recycling station/area but I couldn't find any.

Convenient location, rustic and great for self catering. Bring warm clothes/ecpect to be cold in the colder months.

The location, close to all the golden circle sites. The rustic feel of a proper wooden cottage.

Unfortunately the wood wasn't sealed properly and on our second night with an icy wind blowing, my husband had to sleep with his beany on his head, as the air made quite a breeze into the cottage through the planks. The central heating wasn't enough. This is in March, so I would hate to think what mid winter is like...

A confortabke place in a great location which needs a better clean.

We liked that each bathroom had an en-suite bathroom. The location was amazing.

The hot tub was not what we expected. The water was not very clean and there problems with the heating.

Very good

Great cosy little cottage, well equipped kitchen with everything you need to make your meals. The views were spectacular.

We got a little unlucky with the intensely cold wind, so at times, it got a little too draughty and the radiators couldn't quite keep up.

Perfect for adventures

Perfect location to explore the Golden Circle Bar was a great added bonus Breakfast basket were well worth it, plenty of food, enough to even make packed lunch for adventures House was perfect for our needs and daughter even wanted to bring the blankets home they were so cozy!

Hot tub wasn't as warm as we would have liked but that's just a personal preference AND it was sub zero outside so can't be helped

Quintessential cabin with hot tub to watch the Northern Lights.

This property was a quintessential cabin with 3 bedrooms and an excellent hot tub. That was the big selling point for us and it exceeded our expectations -it was always hot (not hard to do in iceland with all the geothermal water) but the area was quiet and so peaceful! We even saw the Northern Lights. Would highly recommend.

Every once and a while the sulfur smell was pretty strong when you used the bathroom shower water but it wasn't enough to discourage us to stay again.

Lovely cottages in Golden Circle

We loved our stay in Úthlíd Cottages. The cottage was spacious for the 3 of us. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to cook our meal and enjoy out evening. The scenery around is spectacular. The check in - check out smooth . We met the responsible person and he explained us everything we need for a comfortable stay. The place was very clean. It is a very good point to explore Golden circle. We recommend this place.

it was a house with beds but not much more than that

the location was good and it was a decently sized cabin for two people

the lack of privacy was troubling with the living room having no curtains and neighbours practically right next door, it wasn’t very well cleaned with heaps of old dust and dirt in almost every corner.

Perfect private cabin w moth hot tub

Perfect updated cabin with well equipped kitchen and private hot tub. Very quiet and relatively secluded with easy access to Pingvellir Nat’l Park and snowmobile tours. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely big house with nice hottub

Very lovely location with an amazing view. The cottage is very large and had a nice big hottub on the veranda. It felt like we were in a real Icelandic house because of the decor. Kitchen was well equipped to cook a nice meal.

The only thing we couldn’t figure out was how to get the tv working !
