Exceptionally breathtaking views around the area and delightful food.

The views and the characters of the building. How the staff were understand and friendly and they aloud to check out later because we wanted to enjoy the fjords which helped a lot.

Superb

Welcome greetings from staff, that is really nice. Comfy bed, spacious room, bathroom with fixed toiletries, hairdryer, nice white towels. Wonderful breakfast spread, eggs, bread, juices, coffee & tea, fruits, biscuits, cereals, mini cup cakes and delicious cucumber pickles..yummy. Check-out at 12noon. Tourist Information Centre is right beside this hotel. Nearby eateries, supermarket, petrol station too. Took a 9:30am boat to nearby Ulvik, paid on boat and returned at 11:45am...just in time to pack and checked out. Seniors please do ask for senior price for this boat tour it is very good price. Wish we knew about the boat tour earlier so that we could wake up earlier. Anyway we had a good nite stay here. Saw the robot on the turf beside the restaurant cute.

No drinking water in room. No kettle too. Maybe in Norway you could drink tap water. I had to go down to lobby and bring two glasses of water up to our room.

Beware the ferries!

The location was supposed to be wonderful...but ..

Hopefully we booked a room with a "view" on the mountain. Huge ferries parked on the hotel terrasse. You don't see the fjord anymore. Our room barely had a window and the restaurant was expensive for the quality of the food. Not so nice, we were a bit disapointed.

Disappointing service in a nice hotel

There was a good breakfast and we were able to buy a good evening meal in the restaurant. It is a fine, comfortable hotel, but our visit was a disappointment, as detailed elsewhere. I should love to come to beautiful Eidfjord again, but I cannot imagine it would be to this hotel.

I visited Eidfjord in March 2020, just before the pandemic struck in earnest, and I was looking forward to coming back in better times, this time with my sister. Sadly, the hotel itself was a disappointment. I had made it very clear, via Booking.Com messaging, that we were brother and sister and required twin beds. What greeted us was a premium room, with a splendid view of the fjord, but a single mattress on two beds. I think my messaging may have been misunderstood, but all that was required was for the one mattress to be replaced with two. Unbelievably to me, given that we were paying £140 per night, this did not appear to be possible. All that was offered us was a change of room, to one with a view only of the hotel front and car park! I suppose I cannot dispute the hotel's right to do this, but it seems like very bad customer relations. My sister valued the view more that her comfort, so we stayed in the room we were shown first and she put up with having no mattress.

Bad value for money

Lovely views of the fjord. Staff were nice. Well located.

Terrible value for money - very old rooms that were looking very worn. Buffet attendant seemed unwell which was a bit off-putting post-COVID.

Clean and comfortable room with great breakfast buffet in a beautiful location.

The location is fantastic. Breakfast buffet has lots of options. Large, clean, and comfortable room.

Wi-Fi is not very good, spotty at best (in our room at least).

Beautiful hotel with great view. The breakfast was the best we ever had, they had everything and even more.

Comfy beds and pillows. Views if the fjord were gorgeous.

Wifi wasn't great. Only a buffet offered in the restaurant. No a la carte menu.

Nice stay, would recommend :)

The hotel is nice and very easy to access if traveling by boat or ferry. The breakfast had an interesting variety of food, including vegetables, fruit, and a smoothie. I would have just added a few more cake options for those who prefer a sweet breakfast. We enjoyed a lot the buffet dinner at an additional but reasonable price, which included a variety of starters, main options, and desserts!

The room was spacious, but it was missing the mini-bar/fridge, unlike other hotels in Norway that have very similar room prices. Additionally, the room was unusually hot, probably because of its long exposure to the sun.
