Urige saubere Zimmer mit eigenem Bad.

Sehr ansprechend gestaltete ehemalige Gefängniszellen mit eigenem Bad. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

It was definitely an interesting experience which I would recommend to anyone who is up for something a bit different! The entire place was very well renovated and well furnished, with a lot of different types of accommodation and different spaces both private and common. Each "cell" is vey clean and comfortable. The musem is available to all guests and has very interesting stories and exhibits. The location is also very beautiful and close to the station so you can get to the center in no time.

Unique and fun experience

Extremely unique concept, was one of the cheaper accommodation options available in stockholm. Small details around the place showed a real commitment to the jail concept which was quite funny too. Shared kitchen was clean and well-stocked.

Rooms were very small for two people (understandably, as they were converted from jail cells) and I didn’t like that we had to pay extra for linens and towels (though this was made clear before booking). Shower door didn’t reach the ground so water kept getting everywhere when we showered

Restful and regenerating

We loved the place it was so special. While it looks like a prison from outside, inside is very nice. We loved the little seating areas where you can sit outside your room with lovely leather chairs. We had an on suite shower room in our 2 person room. The location is next to the swimming area and has lovely little walks around the Ireland past the allotment and the area has lots of nice trees and Red Squirrels, was the real bonus for us. It's outside Stockholm on island but very close 10 mins walk to tube. The airport bus comes to the nearest tube staion so no hassle to get there. It has a very good resturant on site with really good quality food and friendly staff. We noticed lots of mature people as well as young people choose to stay there, I'd quess people return regualry, we will. Good locker storage for luggage on arrival or leaving if early and seating area with coffee and tea. We'd highly recomment this place. Whats not to like

Nice location, close to the centre by metro and on the water. Very clean, and comfy rooms. Great value for money. We would like to visit in the summer.

Great Atmosphere in the jail but still cozy comfy, and the styling and setup is with a cool sense of humor The staff was great and helpful 👍 and the breakfast was good. The rooms are very clean and a lot of parking options are available. Location is quiet and peaceful...though in the city to be close to sightseeing

Unfortunately, there is no water kettle to cook your hot water in the room. There is no space and no shelf to put your things in the bathroom. Booking.com should really work on the room descriptions...it is completely misleading, especially for families... safety for younger kids on bunkbeds should be mentioned.

Fun experience!

The prison experience is a lot of fun! Everything is themed as a prison and the rooms are actual cells. We had a double room with bunk beds and a private bathroom. The bathroom is very comfortable and spacious. The area around the hostel is very beautiful with parks and playgrounds.

It was clear to me that we had to rent towels however I had not understood we also had to rent bedsheets and fit them on our own (not easy on the bunk beds!). There is also an extra fee you need to pay if you don't want to clean the room to be ready for the next guest (so deep cleaning). The room is a cell, so it is very tiny. There's not enough space if you have large luggages. Finally, the location can be slightly uncomfortable, particularly in very snowy conditions, as the hostel is a 10-15 minutes walk from the metro station Hornstull (very well connected to the centre and the airport).

The atmosphere is unique, being an old prison. Also very good value for money.

We missed that bed linnen weren't included in our booking. We had to pay a surcharge for that.

Great for a simple place to stay as a solo traveler who is looking for a private room

In the whole time i was there, my room has not been cleaned once (no fresh towels) + linnen&towels cost extra(100sek)

All in all a great experience for a very short stay

The rooms and the whole facility are unique. You need to be aware that the rooms used to be cells of a prison. So there is still the "spirit" but the rooms have been renovated perfectly. The breakfast is probabaly a bit smaller than in a big hotel but absolutely sufficient and a very good selection of different types of food!

A lovely place to stay in Stockholm.

A unique building, a fantastic adaptation of an old 19th century prison. Clean, comfortable, interesting, with a great buffet breakfast in the hotel which is attached to the hostel. It's on a quiet, wooded island just 10 minutes walk from Hornstull metro station. The Arlanda airport bus goes from the station every 30 minutes. The Tunnelbana (Metro) system is clean, frequent and reliable. Everything was good. We'd stay there again if we were in Stockholm.

The only thing was that there were no curtains or blinds on the window of the room: in winter this was OK because it was dark, but I couldn't see any way of darkening the room to sleep in the summer when you might have daylight for most of the 24-hours.

Go to prison for fun

well laid out room, great bathroom, fantastic restaurant and communal areas on site. Great quirky vibe playing into building’s past. Beautiful surroundings and easy to access by public transport.

Looking at it as a hostel would have liked more facilities such as laundry or kitchen, although reception had well priced drinks and snacks. Closer to a hotel experience really, and excellent value from that point of view.

Very good

It was ok for a couple of nights, plus all the entourage. Interesting experience, nice surroundings. Some really good restaurants in the area, especially liked a Lebanese place (10 min walk from the hotel).

Same as others have mentioned: had to pay for linen, not really a walking distance to the city center (though it wasn’t a surprise, obviously and subway can get you there quickly).

Amazing place to stay, if you don’t mind being a little out of the city centre

Beautiful setting on island, with a small beach close by. Former prison with fascinating history, rooms used to be cells. Superbly done and an interesting museum tells building’s history. Delicious and good value breakfast available.

If you’re staying in the hostel section, be aware that bedding and towels are not included and have to be hired for an extra charge
