The house is also close to the amenities of Stirling City Centre and within walking distance of the train station. In addition it is an easy drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh airports. Perfect for enjoying the beauty of Scotland as well as the culture of two big cities and the compact nature of Stirling itself. All the rooms are spacious with a large master bedroom with wonderful views and two good sized double bedrooms. Sleeping accommodation is provided by a king bed in the Master Bedroom, a double bed in the second bedroom and a full size single and a Z bed in the twin bedroom. This foldaway bed is suitable for children or young adults but may not be suitable for all adults. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a separate dining room and large sitting room. Two bathrooms include a main guest bathroom with whirlpool bath and rain head power shower and a small bathroom downstairs. Driveway parking and front and rear gardens complete the accommodation on offer. This was a great stay! The location was perfect and the host was fantastic. The only drawback was that there must be animals in the house when not rented out because our allergies were triggered. We took medication and then it wasn’t an issue.

We had a lovely stay at Alison's house -- I stayed with my family and there was more than enough space in the house for the 5 of us. Plenty of space to retreat and have a moment of quiet, including a lovely garden. The house was super clean, the beds comfortable and we had beautiful views out the windows, despite the often rainy weather. Stirling is a nice little town with cafes and charity shops, which we used as a base to go and explore the highlands and other parts of Scotland -- lots of beautiful spots only an hour or two's drive away. Definitely recommend Alison's house if you're looking to stay in Central Scotland!

There was a large group of us staying here, and we quite enjoyed it. From the right angle, you can see the Stirling Castle and it’s an easy walk to “town” and the shops and maybe 15 minutes to the train which was great for us as we did not have a vehicle. My only complaint was I found it quite bright in the master bedroom as the curtains didn’t block much sun (and it’s bright for like 19 hours a day right now.) Alison was prompt and helpful in her responses to our questions. Would recommend!

Alison's house is just lovely. The location is perfect for exploring Stirling, while still being out of the way and quiet. She has thought of everything - the kitchen is well-equipped, plenty of towels and supplies, everything labeled, plus a basket of maps and local brochures. We wished we could stay longer than 3 nights. If we ever make it back to Stirling, we will definitely book with Alison again!

Location was great. Road closure to property made getting to it a little tricky at first. Would have liked better directions directing us around the construction. Within walking distance to city centre and some attractions. Loved looking out over the “King’s Knot”, and great view for sunsets. Thank you Alison for sharing your home.

Bedrooms were large, maIn bathroom was excellent, however to get in and out of the tub, a hand rail would be good. The downstairs bathroom is only good if you are going to take a bath, shower too close to the wall and very low. The heating system was hard to figure out, it would off during the day and then it would get really hot at night. No instructions on how to solve these issues. Overall, the home was great.

This quality built property with all it's original features has character in abundance, especially the sitting room and master bedroom. I was disappointed to find that the downstairs 'Tom Thumb' bathroom, for me, was just too small to use. The kitchen, whilst being well equipped, is a bit lacking in work space and the garden could do with some TLC. However, the house overlooks a beautiful open space with a view of Stirling Castle at the top of the hill which is stunning, especially with a sunset. It is quiet and peaceful and yet Stirling town is only a 15 minute walk away. Or you can enjoy a climb through a lovely wood at the end of the road to the area of the castle....almost a daily walk for us. Stirling is a very picturesque town and interesting history, especially the castle and the Wallace Monument, highly recommended. Beautiful countryside, particularly the Lochs, Earn and Tay. Thank you Alison for the opportunity to stay here.

A perfect and beautiful house to stay in for our family holiday in Scotland. A great base for exploring Stirling and close to lots of other places too for day trips. The house is in a great location, close to the town centre but also with easy access to the surrounding area. The accommodation was clean and spacious and well equipped with all we needed. Alison was a great host and ensured that we had an enjoyable stay.

The house is in an excellent location. City centre and countryside are just a few minutes away. The house is spacious and easily accommodates 6 people and a dog without feeling on top of each other. Local ammenities are excellent and being able to have off road parking is a bonus. Will definitely be our first port of call for when we want to return to Stirling again.

We had a wonderful stay here. Lots of room for the family to spread out. Had everything we needed from toilet paper, dish washing tablets, washing powder etc. Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon ready to go. Really came in handy for rainy days. Everything was clean and comfortable and felt like a real home away from home. Would definitely stay here again!
