Very good

property is like the pictures, very serene and a gorgeous little house. facilities were comfortable and had everything we needed. Amazing little spot and close to Jervis bay town and beaches. lovely little deck to fish off with the boat ramp as well. upstairs was absolutely beautiful!

I didn’t know at time of booking that we needed to supply our own towels and bedsheets and pillow cases. After I made the booking I got sent a message to pay extra for these things or supply my own. as we were already travelling I didn’t have these things with me and panicked because I could not reach the owner and had to go out and buy what we needed. Upstairs is also very nice but if you have little kids the stairs are dangerous.

Great place next to the river!

The place is exactly as described. We even had ducks and swans visiting us at the back and we had a kangaroo jumping through the front yard! The upstairs set up is special and all the parts of the house were very well kept. The beds were firm and comfy.

Not much not to like. The only thing was a strange smell which we think comes from the fridge but all the food in there seemed ok and it was cold. There wasn't much in there so we couldn't work out where the problem was coming from.

we stayed at The River Retreat for the weekend (wish we book two nights) the place are so nice, clean and very relaxing specially the main rooms. we enjoyed our stay so much! the location is so close to shops and cafes. very quiet neighbourhood and excellent service. Thank ti James and Libby 🧡

Nothing specific, everything is on mark. Lovely location, easy access, friendly hosts . What else one would need.

There is nothing to mention in specific. Place is good, stay was plasent for us.

Clean, comfortable, quiet getaway, with fishing at your doorstep

We loved the outlook onto the river

Nothing really to not like, but shame that it wasn’t really walking distance to the beach.

It was good to have the river right there, the beds where comfortable, i didn't experience the upstairs.

Firstly the dishwasher didn't work contents of dishwasher where dirty and full of mould, I had to buy batteries for the light fan as it was not working these things should of been checked before we arrived. Didn't like the staircase it felt unsafe.. there needs to be air-conditioning. And the fact we pay a cleaning fee but practically have to make sure its clean before we leave is ridiculous,I understand if we only needed to tidy up but we needed to vacuum and mop as well why do we pay a cleaning fee?

Beds, heaters, oven, fridge those things are perfect

No mirror and power points in bathroom, dust everywhere carpet in the lounge too dusty and never cleaned ,power point in the kitchen not fixed to wall( high risk ), front entrance floor is slippery, no information booklet, floor is making noise, staircase is too narrow, no washing machine and dryers in the property , never answered phone and one phone number is wrong (lady's number) ,if you want I can send photos as well, sorry to say those things it's not worth for $690

Everything else. The above would not be a game changer. Plenty of room. Great view. Relaxing atmosphere. Loved it

Relaxing weekend away

Most impressive was that kids could fish all day/night long in calm waters without worry in own private jetty in the back yard.

Stairs leading to rooms upstairs was bit scary climbing up and down but was ok and only one bathroom/toilet.
