Toilet seat was broken, taps in bathroom and kitchen were coming off the fixture, needs multiple repairs.

really bad customer service, only gave us 1 towel and the room actually smelled awfully, they took them 2 days to bring an extra towel (it was booked for 2 people not 1…). absent staff, and even though we were moved to another room the service was truly awful. not recommended at all.

Good location.

The apartment looked quite different compared to the photos. Although advertised for 4 people, both the bathroom and the toilet are located in the bedroom, making it less private. One radiator wasn’t working and the heating was set to switch off when a certain (low) temperature is reached. When I sent a message stating it’s cold, I did not receive a reply. The bed that folds out was broken.

Nice usable kitchen, well stocked cookware, convenient location, building and apartment access was quick and easy, keypad on apartment 2 was handy

Sleeper sofas were extremely uncomfortable and we chose to sleep on the floor instead. The sleeper sofa and shower head were broken in apartment 2.

good location next to the bus station and about 40’ walk to the town centre. Very clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. Also we appreciated the temperature of the apartment was very good, considering outside was very cold.

the code for the apartment door didn’t work and since the only contact number didn’t work on WhatsApp as recommend by the venue, it took a little while to get changed so we could get in. But otherwise staff very helpful.

Comfort bad, spacious apartment.

I guess I got the worst apartment according to other comments. This is apartment #1, only one which is located on the ground floor. Practically, this means you feel like you are at the reception and bus station at the same time. Namely, every time somebody enter the building you hear people. When bus pass on the street shakes like it is earthquake. Bottom line, this should be communicated to customers.

The property refused to issue an invoice despite agreeing to do so before my stay. The staff seems to be ignoring my attempts to contact them afterwards.

The apartment itself is lovely. It’s well-equipped and nicely furnished with a lot of potential. The cleaning was good except for a pair of men’s boxer shorts found (and still remaining) behind a curtain. The bus goes from right outside the apartment to the central areas which is handy for getting around. The bed was comfortable.

There was a problem with the apartment door lock which ended up being a nightmare to deal with, mainly due to the host’s attitude to it. Basically the door had no way of locking from the inside. Initially, they told me it autolocks, which I replied must be broken. Rather than take me at my word, they requested a video, then when I didn’t reply fast enough, sent a message saying they’d sent a locksmith around and they confirmed the lock was working. When we got back, nothing had changed. I sent a video and they agreed it appeared the lock wasn’t working as there was no way to lock it from the inside. This back-and-forth over messaging continued for a further day, until eventually they came up with a manual fix for the lock. The fix didn’t really give any real security as it was still impossible to know if the door was locked from the outside when one was inside. But dealing with the hosts back-and-forth over text message was just too arduous so we left it. The last message we had from them basically said they were waiting for us to reply so they could leave the office for the weekend, as if the fact that they had dragged this relatively simple issue out for two days was our fault. I can add that (as other guests have commented) there is a pervasive sewage smell in the corridors, which also permeates inside the apartment. Several fixtures and fittings are hanging off the walls. The TV remote didn’t work despite replacing the batteries ourselves, and I’m pretty sure is actually not compatible with a Samsung TV. We asked for an early check in, only one hour, and were told it was possible but despite arriving 20 mins later than our scheduled arrival time, the apartment was still being cleaned when we arrived. After the lock debacle, I had little desire to communicate any of the above to the host. I will add that they offered a partial refund based on the lock issue which I accepted. Even so, there are too many issues with this place to make it worth recommending.

The location is great -- close to European institutions, public transportation, shops, restaurants, a great Friday evening open market, etc. -- the kitchen very well equipped, and the bed and bedding very comfotable.

The apartment I stayed in was not as clean as it could have been and is beginning to show wear & tear. The location is great for public transportation, but the downside is that there is a fair amount of noise and occasional rattling of the building as buses pass by.

Location close to public transport, appartment nice and clean. We were allowed later check-out so could use the last day without troubles with luggage.

Sofa bed not comfortable. Very warm winter duvets.No possibility of making the living room dark during night (no shades on windows). No lift (but understandable for such an old building).

It was really nice apartment, very cosy and beautiful.

Takes quite a bit of time to get to the city center.

The location was great (European District), very close to Schuman metro station. About 40 minutes away from Grand Place, if you choose to walk there or less than 5 minutes if you use the train. Pretty close to the hotel there are some pubs and small restaurants and cafes. The area is very quiet, but it can be risky to walk alone at night. Apartment number 7 was very nice, on the top of the building with view of the surrounding area and skylight windows. I really enjoyed that during both the sunny and the rainy days. Last, but not least, the communication with the owners was very smooth and quick when needed. I had an issue with the code and could not enter the apartment and it was solved in a minute.

The apartment could be cleaner. I could see hair on the bathroom floor and sometimes it smelled like sewage (not just in the renovated apartment, could be because the building is old). Also, the street in front of the hotel was noisy. And of course there were many many stairs to the apartment (expected as it was on the top of the building) which I didn't mind, but If someone travels with a baby or small kids or has health issues, this should be taken under serious consideration (especially because the stairs are wood and very narrow. The code I was given to enter the apartment was not working the first day (the issue was fixed), but if I had arrived late at night this could be a problem.

The location was great as it was close to public transport and walking distance to a lot of really nice places. Check in we smooth and the host gave clear instructions. They were very accommodating to our needs and very responsive. The apartment was spacious.

The living room had no curtains so the light was coming in very early in the morning for those sleeping on the sofa bed. The floor was a little dirty.

The apartment is elegant, lot of room, modern and very well located in European area. It´s 5 minutes walking from supermartket and 3 minutes more from Schuman railway, metro station and European Comission building. Very handy to move around. We stayed 1 week with two kids, and enjoyed its terrace with views to a park, its huge TV flat screen and its kitchen with plenty of amenities. It´s located in a quiet area with beautiful buildings, nice restaurants in the surroundings and two Spanish tapas bar, just in front. As there is an apartment in every floor, you don´t hear your neighbours. Bed in main room is very comfortable. Check in/out is easy and relaxed as you manage it with codes. System is very reliable. So, I find it very recomendable with a very reasonable price!! Very important!. Ooops..., and they allowed us to leave luggage in its private area for a late check out.

Even we had a maintenance problem with the shower, Yann, Director of Newton apartments, and his team (David, Sean) were extremely helpful to provide a quick solution to it. More over they were reacheable through messages at any time. Thank you guys!! See you soon.

The hotel apartment is really well decorated and everything is super functional. It is approx 15 min walk from the EU HQ but we’ll worth the walk: the neighbourhood is pretty and quiet, there’s two nice restaurants close by and a small food/beer place on a square right across the street.

The hotel operates without a reception and you let yourself in with door codes. This worked very well until the last day when I was given the code to a room to store my luggage. When rushing out the door, I forgot my cell phone in room - I didn’t have any codes anymore and I was completely stuck!!! There’s a door bell on the building which doesn’t connect to anything and without the phone I had no way to contact the staff. So: write the codes down on a note and bring it with you.

Great Cosy little apartment with a small terrace, perfect for having your morning coffee (which was provided). The Place is situated in front of a bus stop which can take you directly to Brussels Central Station in about 10-15mins (sometimes less). If you need a bit of a quiet day the Terrace overlooks a small 'park' which was perfect to relax and watch dogs play with their owners.
