Simple but very cheap and right in the heart of town

Basic and simple but that's all I expect for the cheap price. A charming old world hotel with the bathroom down the corridor. Rooms were clean and tidy. Located right in the middle of town.

clean comfortable centrally located. didnt hear much noise.

location was central and fantastic. Rooms were clean and had towels/soap etc provided. small bar fridge and tea/coffee facilities were appreciated. didnt get to eat there as we had early starts and late finish with sport. Opp park

ensuite with every room. booked two rooms. 1 had ensuite the other had a fully exposed shower no toilet. At time of booking this was what was available. common tiolet had a blown light bulb.

Food and atmosphere were worth the money

Food was awesome, you get what you pay for. Staff and patrons very welcoming, good old country atmosphere. Assistance given without needing to ask

For someone with mobility issues and a baby the stairs are an issue but is to be expected with its location. Rooms need some renovation but it appears that they are working on that currently. Window was stuck open with no fly screen, musty smell, tv off wall on floor which is not ideal with a crawling baby, shared shower was faulty

Brilliant stay great staff just couldn’t wash my hair this morning 😢

Adequate however an inexpensive bedside lamp and plug for sink would have made all the difference

Breakfast not included so went elsewhere. Great location. Clean/new sheets towels

No bedside lamp. No plug for handbasin or bath. Metal strip across top of bath potential cut if slip while getting into shower.

Very good value, you can forgive the faults at the price.

Very good value food. nice eatery and a brilliant location.

It's a long way to the top if you want a sausage roll. In other words the walk up to room 26 was a long way with a crook ankle.

Staff at the hotel were excellent, all tried to assist me with a visit to Parkes. Didn't happen!

Breakfast excellent. Close to everything. I went to library, cinema, art gallery, museum and swimming pool by walking.

I wanted very much to visit Parkes during the Elvis Festival and found this impossible. Shame. Hoping to get to do this 2025.

yes the hotel was going through renovations but everyone was obliging.should be fantastic when finished.the staff were excellant .and enjoyed many meals there.superb.

The last sentence in 'What did you like' sums it up, I think.

I provided my own breakfast and dined at a restaurant that was not in the hotel.. I parked on the street, in front of the hotel, which was fine except that there was a frost overnight and I had to wait until the ice on the car melted. I would stay at these premises again. Value for money, central location and the staff I encountered were helpful and friendly.

My own fault, but lugging my rather large suitcase up the 44 stairs (I counted them) to the room on the second floor was a bit of a challenge, a was coming down the stairs when I checked out.

Disappointing

Staff were lovely on arrival and helpful with my problems that then occurred once I went to my room.

My room was not ready, and there was ample time and the main bed looked like it should be thrown to the tip with torn cover and broken springs. Staff swapped rooms and the new room- light in the bathroom was dodgy, shower facility was not sufficiently cleaned,hot water was lukewarm at best, tv remote was missing, no additional pillows and the room lock was questionable. Pricing seemed excessive for what was supplied.

No lift. Literally had a heart attack on Thursday morning in your carpark.

One toilet for the whole top floor. Hell! Burnouts toil the wee hours on two nights right outside. Did any staff call the police?

Accommodation is substandard. The rest of the Hotel is good.

it is centrally located. it looked like it was recently renovated and painted. The food was good.

the accommodation was very poor. Something out of the 1950s. My room had a shower but no toilet and there hadn’t been a cent spent on it in 20 years.

Superb

The Royal Hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. I loved the old building vibe and the old creaking floors added to the charm for me. Beautiful view and the perfect location. Had been updated since the photos so it far exceeded value for money.

Loved it all, personally. Though some light sleepers might not enjoy hearing every foot step on the floor.

Basic pub accommodation in the heart of Orange.

Great location - although also has drawbacks on a Saturday night (ie street traffic and hoons). Room was adequate with no frills. Air conditioned.

Interior was clearly worn and dated (as you sort of expect for basic pub accommodation anyway). Power points an issue (power boards used re inaccessible power points). Hooning Saturday night traffic didn't do it for me unfortunately. Chipboard cupboards etc have seen better days and are now not particularly useful. Some side tables next to the beds and a lamp or two would've been a nice touch.

Sleeping quarters were adequate, bathroom was quite frankly, scary.

Restaurant food & drinks were good, staff were all polite & pleasant on check in & the restaurant.

The bathroom facilities were ‘confronting’, but appeared to be clean. The cold water tap in the bedroom wasn’t free flowing. The kettle was not cordless which meant unplugging to fill it. The old wardrobe was like something from the ark.Noisy air conditioning units right outside our window.
