Great location with a 7 minute walk to John’s Pass and right across the street from the beach! Nice updated cottage with comfortable furniture. We had a small problem when we arrived to get into our cottage, not all the information was on the text with the code… Would be nice if all the information was included on the text… Also, maybe some more signage pointing the way. Otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

Just wanted a little getaway close to the beach. Got just what we asked for. Pleasant little cottage and a very safe area.

A nice cottage steps to the beach and less than a mile from great food and shopping. Good fishing hole right down the road and a great area to walk the dog. Only complaint I have is some of the bushes, trees, and weeds were a bit over grown in places could use some trimming and cleaning up. And if it rains at all in house number 2 where we stayed you have to swim to your vehicle as water just piled up from the back door to the parking spot all around the vehicle. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back again.

Short walk to John Pass. Like laundry room. Only full size bed. No hot water in sink in bathroom and shower very small— if person is bigger than size 20 - the shower is a tight fit.

July 4th holiday
Our cottage at Madeira Beach was just as described and so well supplied with household items. There was even an ironing board and iron, kitchen and grilling utensils, and even a slow cooker if so inclined to cook! The beach was just across the street and we were at the bus/trolley stop for traveling up and down the area. Activities, restaurants and shops were just a 5-10 minute walk. We will definitely visit again but not in summer! So hot!!!

We arrived to find a cute and cozy cottage. Liked having our own little patio. We loved the accessibility to Johns Pass and the beach, all within easy walking distance. Madeira Beach Seafood Festival was going on while we were there. So fun with the vendors, food, and music.

The unit is not the newest on the beach but is well looked after and maintained. It is small but very clean and tidy. The place was clean, although did need some updates; blinds broken in several places, the book had old/incorrect directions for the TV, couch stained in several places, and would have appreciated dish soap since there was not a dishwasher. It would have been better had the refrigerator been cooled when we arrived, as we had to go get I’ve and keep stuff in a cooler overnight. The on call person was NOT helpful. Also, the pool was green at first, and when I called the office they simply said the pool cleaners came on Wednesday (we checked in on Saturday). Finally, while I understand the need for lawn service, and having it done in the morning due to the heat here in Florida, I could have done without all the cursing and yelling by the crew right outside my cottage window.

I stayed here with my good friend when we drove down for her daughter's baby shower. The cottage is really cute and overall very clean, although I'm a nurse and kind of type A and I wiped everything down anyway. I straightened up outside front and back on the patios and swept, and I also straightened up the pool area. The pool is really nice though small, and we mostly had it to ourselves because it seems most people wanted to go to the beach across the street and not hang out at the pool. The pool needs a bit of maintenance though. It has a "ring" around it and could use some cleaning/resurfacing. Also, someone had gone into the pool with sand on their feet or in their bathing suit and left it in the bottom of the pool and no one ever cleaned it up. Inside the cottage, the shower was more like a camper shower! Not very big for voluptuous girls like me and my friend, but it did the job. The cottage was really quiet, (definitely a plus), cute and cozy, quaint and shabby-chic. It is in a great location near a beach access and 1/4 mile from John's Pass in Maderia Beach. Everything was in good order, but there was no dishwasher and the stove was tiny, and the TV only had basic cable. I would recommend an egg crate be purchased for the sofa bed (that would be a nice touch.) But I loved the wide bathroom sink, and the refrigerator and microwave were nice, and the sofa was comfy, although someone else had left a big stain on one cushion and I had to flip it over. I also think the air conditioning could be upgraded, although we were cool enough. It seemed to struggle a bit in the heat of the day. Overall, though, this was a very cute little cottage complex in a good location and I would stay again.

Upon arrival we entered our turtle cottage with ease using our 4 digit code that was emailed to us the day of arrival. Cottage was clean well equipped and convenient to area activities. Quiet little street off main road. Small but adequate pool to cool off in. Lots of chairs and tiki hut to shadee. Cookers tables chairs just outside our unit. Overall we loved our stay.

We have been going to the Cottages at Madero Beach coming up on 10 years and have always had a very enjoyable stay. Great location and have friends that also come every year and it’s great to see them year after year. Getting out of the cold in Wisconsin makes it even that much better.

the only issue we had was the doors did not have dead bolts. our dog could open the lever type door handles so we had to barricade the doors all the time we were inside, the tv cable had issues a few times. and only a third of the channels listed in the welcome book you have onsite.

We had our second stay at The Cottages this year. We enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Our cottage was spotless, the kitchen had all the tools we needed, and our space was comfortable and quiet. We ate our meals on the patio, took romantic strolls on the beach and relaxed in the pool. We felt safe and tranquil during both stays and will definitely be back.

We were in town 5 days for a wedding. We had never been to this cottage or to Madeira Beach. We were more than happy with the accommodations as well as Madeira Beach the town. We will be back. Cottage was very clean and close to the beach and John's Pass.Very quiet especially at night. Cozy, comfy, and clean.

A/C wall unit is too loud for sleep
Overall we liked the little cottage and also liked we could bring our dogs. We did leave a day early as the A/C wall unit in the bedroom didn't allow for anyone to sleep as it's way too loud. I would not recommend renting it again until something is done about the noise.
