Situated in Sitio de Calahonda, this lovely condo for $295 per night is a great choice for your next trip. A beach lover's dream apartment complex, Mi Capricho is right on the beach in Calahonda, one of the most successful beachfront properties in the area. This front-line beach complex has four blocks strategically located around two large kidney-shaped swimming pools. Situated in the heart of Calahonda with access directly off the main N340 road which links Malaga with the Marbella area of the Costa Del Sol. Shop, restaurants, bars and entertainment are all within walking distance from the complex. Two large kidney-shaped swimming pools are the centrepiece of the complex. The complex also has a kiddie pool, underground parking for all guests and a beachfront tiki bar. The back pool is open all year. The main pool at the front is seasonal, usually from April/May to September/October, weather permitting. The tiki bar is also seasonal and opening times may vary depending on weather, etc. Calahonda is popular for its array of shopping, and local markets conveniently located just a walk from the complex. The area has a great selection of restaurants and evening entertainment. The boardwalk is a 6km walk that extends from La Cala de Mijas and ends 500 meters short of Cabopino passing through Calahonda. Our guests can access the boardwalk directly from the community gardens and enjoy a brisk walk or a gentle stroll along our beautiful coastline. The boardwalk forms part of the Senda Litoral De Malaga (Malaga coastal path) and when eventually completed will run from Nerja to Manilva and span 163kms. The boardwalk has bars and restaurants along the way as it hugs the coastline. The boardwalk continues across the Cabopino sand dune nature reserve. Mijas Costa: 6 Miles of some of Spain's best beaches running from Fuengirola to Marbella at the heart of the Sunny Costa del Sol. The perfect quiet holiday spot for sun worshipers and golfers alike being well away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts. Conditions: Sorry, no groups of single males/females. No smoking. No pets. Minimum age of primary renter: 30 Check-in before 8pm - Surcharge applies for arrivals after 8pm Mi Capricho is a quiet family complex with beautifully maintained communal areas and landscaped gardens. A condition of all bookings is that you respect the property and other residents (both permanent residents and other holidaymakers) by adhering to the community rules.

I brought my adult autistic son to Mi Capricho. We had an excellent week. The nearby restaurants were accommodating for special dietary requests. We hired a car and visited local attractions and also enjoyed the on-site pool for swimming and relaxing

The apartment was lovely and spacious, it was homely and had everything that you needed. The location was great, there was a nearby supermarket and lots of different places to eat. The Mi Capricho complex was peaceful and well kept. The apartments garden area was a nice place to sunbathe if you didn't want to lay around the pools although these we also nice to be around. Overall we had a great stay and would 100% return.

The property is in a lovely complex, very secure and in beautiful gardens opening onto the boardwalk. Two bathrooms meant it was ideal for the four of us and the kitchen was very well equipped. UK TV is also there if you want it. Lots to do in the area, and really easy to get around via bus or taxi. Highly recommended!!

Just returned from a 10 day stay at Mi Capricho.
The development is superbly positioned close to a wide range of bars and restaurants. View from the patio/ garden is beautiful, front line overlooking the sea. The gardens it is set in are kept to an extremely high standard. The apartment has all the facilities you would expect at home. Fabulous holiday. Sorry but I cannot find anything remotely negative to say about it. Already looking at re-booking for later in the year

We stayed for a week at Alan's apartment and found the location and setting very peaceful.
There was a small delay and some confusion in us checking-in to the apartment, which Alan resolved very quickly.
Mi Capricho is so well maintained with beautiful gardens.
We spent many hours on the terrace with the sea view and found we could easily walk in either direction to find some great restaurants. The location is one of the best we've stayed at without the need for a car.
We used Alan's recommendation for the taxi back to Malaga and Leo was very attentive and professional.

Fantastic experience start to finish.
Great communication from the owner. The apartment is extremely well appointed and set in a small beautifully maintained complex just yards from the beach and boardwalk.
All amenities are within walking distance and taxis are relatively cheap and readily available if required.

Just returned from our lovely relaxing stay at Mi Capricho. Property was just as described with all the amenities to ensure your stay is made homely. We were met and shown round the property by the agent, giving us all the information we needed to start to enjoy our stay.
The location of the apartment cannot be beaten, the views of the Mediterranean and the swimming pool/gardens of the property were wonderful.
The apartment is well maintained and we felt able to relax and make the most of the facilities during our three week stay.
The restaurants are all within a 15 minute walk, with shopping facilities a 10/15 minute walk away too. All you need for your stay in the area. We made the most of the local bus service to Marbella and Fuengirola; also a day on the bus/train to Malaga, all easy forms of transport to use.
While we were staying we were lucky enough to meet the owners of the property as they were in the area. They gave us some great tips for restaurants and made us feel very welcome in their apartment.
Would definitely stay again when in the area.

The views from the apartment are beautiful. It overlooks the pool and the sea and the perfectly maintained gardens. The apartment was very clean and the furnishings made it feel like a home from home. Contact with the owner was very good. We were a party of 4 over 50s adults - we would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Alan was fantastic with all correspondence and return of security deposit. The apartment itself is really secure and clean with all amenities considered. The complex is lovely, the pool is so nice, and easy to get a spot to sunbathe. We had a really lovely holiday.

Had a lovely stay in Mi Capricho. Nice apartment, Nice pool area and outdoor area. Good info about area and possibilities before arrival. Easy check-in with Dora. No need to have rental car with Supermercado close by and Leo taxi which brought us around and from the airport.

This property has all the facilities you need for a self catering break. Walking distance to supermarket, restaurants and the beach. Underground secure parking an added bonus. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed using the lovely swimming pool.

Stunning location
This property is lovely. Well positioned for exploring on foot or by bus. We didn’t hire a car and had everything we needed on the door step. We made use of the boardwalk which runs for 6km along the beach.
Communication with owner and manger was easy. Slightly perturbed handing over €300 euro cash as deposit in person. Have not had to do that before but perhaps that’s a Vrbo Spanish agreement. Two twin bedrooms and two bathrooms. Tended to use the walk-in shower however that always seemed to flood. If used both showers at same time, that affected temperature and pressure. The complex seemed well managed however it wasn’t clear that we had to pay for loungers and chairs by the pool. This happened on 1st June so perhaps they start providing this then (but didn’t put signs up until 2 June).
All in all, a lovely stay

The property was large and very clean and had a wonderful outlook with beautiful gardens leading to costal path and then directly onto the beach The whole Mi Capricho complex feels upmarket and very well maintained. There is also a good pool bar very close to the apartment.

Nice holiday home with everything needed for a one week get-away. Close to beach, beautiful view, cosy private garden, well equipped. Ideal for walks along the beach, nice beach restaurants and shopping nearby.

Great Property in Superb Location
The apartment is lovely – in a perfect position with a sea view, is in close proximity to the board walk and beach and a number of bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance. There is a fantastic new shower room, high quality bed linens on the beds, a very private outside garden area and a lovely welcome from the property manager. Alan, the owner, is in the process of updating a number of features in the apartment (e.g. the whole apartment has been recently redecorated, air-conditioning has been installed and the terrace has been retiled) and is a delight to deal with! These all helped make our visit memorable! We had a wonderful week here and would certainly consider visiting again.

The best of everything on your doorstep!
Everything made easy. A real home from home in the sun. Perfect for families with young children. Private garden with direct access and view to the pool, park and the beach with its amazing boardwalk. Central to everything on foot or by road. Beautifully kept property on one of the best gated communities. The owner is also very helpful and quick to reply to any requests. I have recommended this property to my friends and family and we hope to return again soon!

Fabulous apartment
We have stayed at this apartment three times now and fully intend to stay again, it never disappoints.
The apartment is very well placed for access to the pool and lovely grounds, there is also a very well stocked small bar serving good food and run very efficiently.
With the addition of the boardwalk in recent times we were able to have some lovely walks stopping at little bars/restaurants etc. There is also a very good restaurant very very nearby serving excellent food.
Our two grandchildren loved it their stay too (they were in another apartment on the same complex).
A mention should go to the two lovely ladies who met us when we arrived they are very helpful and friendly.
Five stars definitely. Can’t wait to return.

Excellent location, great property
Great place to rest and relax. Right on the front with a fab boardwalk. Pool, bar and snacks on site. Mijas Pueblo well worth going up to, plenty of restaurants and shops. We liked The Secret Garden restaurant. The apartment has all the facilities you need, even down to a couple of shopping bags to use - something you don't usually find. Alan the owner was very helpful and returned the damage deposit quickly. We had Alex collect and drop us off (4 adults) and Dora met us at the property, it couldn't be easier. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Fantastic apartment in stunning garden layout
Our family of four stayed at this apartment over Easter for a couple of weeks.
Previous reviews are all accurate - the apartment is great particularly the way you have a private garen opening out to more gardens and all close by the pool and pool bar. It is a fantastic setup.
We were more active than previously having rented a car (Helle Hollis - recommended by Alan) so this review will touch on some of the things we got up to and can recommend outside the compound.
1. Amazon Adventure (ziplining in trees place) - Elvira exit
Just 10 minutes toward Marbella (bus or car) sitting right by the Elvira exit there is a phonemenal zipline place. My 11 and 13 year olds had a blast. There is a bar there for the anyone not participating - these "visitors" pay 2 euro to enter. You get about 3 hours there.
2. Parque Acuatico Mijas
Again just up the road on near side of Fuengarola fantastic water park. We had a 50% off voucher (always take whatever coupons they hand out at airport and keep eyes out for them elsewhere). Thoroughly recommend the place. It was very laid back and the staff were practically invisible.
3. Mijas Pueblo
In the hills overlooking Fuengarola - definitely worth a few hours here. It's a fantastic Spanish village - like Orange Square on steroids. Park in the multistorey car park then go for a wander.
4. Benalmadena Port and Sealife
You can walk around the port - get something to eat , do some shopping, then after go see SeaLife. Buy your tickets online > 1 hour before as they are HALF the price but can take a whole hour to arrive at your inbox. No need to print them out. Just present the phone to the reception.
We also did Torremolinos, Cabopino, Cala Market, Marbella, Fuengarola.
Eating
Our favourite eatery in the area is definitely the Hong Kong restaurant in the Zoco. The manageress there is just such a quality hostess. You can buy pint sized soft drinks for the kids there. Other shoutouts to Da Vincis in Dona Lola, the local Capricho restaurant at the end of the garden, La Luna which is down the boardwalk to the right past King Beach (itself v good for food), plus the 2 places on the rocks past capricho though service can be eccentric. For breakfast try Espresso across the road next to the Mercadona at least once.

Lovely spacious apartment with wonderful views
Great service from start to finish. The owner was great to deal with and answered all questions promptly and returned the security deposit swiftly. Dora and Teresa were very helpful during our stay at the apartment. The apartment was bright, clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable so we slept well as it was also very quiet at night. The kitchen was fully equipped with full oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher.There was a LCD HD tv with UK channels in the lounge and fast reliable broadband. We stayed in October and the weather was good. The patio led onto a small private garden and the views of the communal gardens, pool and sea were wonderful. The pool bar was open which served snacks and drinks. There is direct access to the boardwalk from the complex which is great to walk along beside the beach and there are some good chiringuitos in both directions. We enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Spacious Apartment in fabulous location
The apartment is in a great location in Calhonda. The fabulous pool is is just a few yards from the apartment garden . The beach can be reached through a security gate . Also there is the new walkway where beach bars can be reached. There are lots of bars and restaurants close by. Also Calahonda is a good base if you want to visit other resorts. The apartment was spacious clean and well equipped. Hopefully we will be returning next year.

Highly recommended
My wife, 16 yr old son and I stayed for 2 weeks in late July and would highly recommend both Mi Capricho and this apartment. The owner was very prompt with booking enquiries, information etc and the property company could not have been more helpful at check-in and during the stay.
We organised additional cleaning mid stay and the service was great, 1 minor issue occurred during our 2 week stay, out of the owners control, this was dealt with very promptly and the owner personally checked with us by visiting.
We will definitely return in future, and would highly recommend for either couples or families, the apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms and comfortable space/seating for 4 inside/outside.
The pictures do not do the location or property justice, you have the most superb views of the beach/sea and are literally 20-30 secs walk to the private beach gate, the pool and pool bar, and right on the boardwalk. Turn left and El Capricho beach bar is 50 meters, and turn right Royal Beach is 5 mins walk, and Luna Beach 10-12mins walk, both great eating options, and of all the accommodation we saw along the boardwalk this complex seemed by far the most spacious, and definitely had the best pool area and gardens.
The facilities in the apartment offer everything you need, good quality furnishings, private parking, secure & private garden/grounds and the added bonus of ground floor so you can pop to the pool/bar/apartment hassle free.
The garden gets the sun from 930am right through till 730-8pm in July so breakfast, late lunches and evenings were enjoyed on the terrace, and a daily walk to the closest supermarket and small selection of shops was no more than 10-12mins (each way).
The pool bar opens at 12 every day but as we enjoyed our drinks on the private terrace we rarely used it, but for those wanting the option it was clean, tidy and service was quick and efficient, and very reasonably priced.
We found the apartment easily, 25-30 mins from the airport, 5 mins drive to La Cala de Mijas, 5 mins drive to Cabapino Marina (you cant walk to either directly on the Boardwalk) 15 mins drive to Mijas Village, 15 mins to Marbella and 20mins to Puerto Banus...and at least half a dozen top quality golf courses within 10-12 mins drive...perfect location for a family enjoying sun, pool, beach and lots of great restaurants!

Lovely Beachfront Accommodation
Mi Capricho is a fantastic location in Calahonda. Close to supermarkets, restaurants, beach and public transport.
The apartment is ground floor with direct access to the pool area, the bar and the boardwalk. It also has a small private garden.
It contains everything required for a self catering holiday and is fitted out to a good standard compared to many rental properties. Wifi is free and worked without any problems.
The booking process was straightforward and Alan, the owner, is easy to deal with, informative, and keen to ensure guests have a pleasant stay at his apartment. Teresa who is the contact on arrival could not have been more helpful.
For first time visitors to Calahonda there are lots of good restaurants within easy walking of Mi Capricho and both Fuengirola and Marbella are a 30 minute bus ride away.
Having visited Calahinda on numerous occasions I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for beachside accommodation.
