The home is suffering from serious deferred maintenance and poor management. Upon check-in, we were told not to use the dryer because the lint trap was falling off, creating a fire hazard. The trap wasn’t replaced until late on our last day. We had packed believing that we’d be able to wash clothes so this was a problem. The dishwasher didn’t work the entire trip and I had to clean up the mess made by two separate leaks. Maintenance said it had been problematic for a year and the owner finally decided to replace it because it was continuing to have issues. The replacement didn’t happen during our stay. We were told to hand wash our dishes. The heat didn’t work the entire stay. After looking at the thermostat the manager said it was beyond his capability to fix. His response: “Good thing it’s only October.” We lacked hot water one day and had freezing showers. When I couldn’t get hot water in the shower my husband ran the faucet in the tub to try to draw hot water to the room. The only thing the faucet produced was more cold water filled with brown sludge. I texted maintenance with a picture of the now sludge-filled tub. He said other tenants’ use of hot water in the building might “impact” ours. Lovely, given that we already had no heat. The bed sizes were misrepresented in the listing. When I asked the manager how he wanted to resolve these problems he said “maintenance issues occur from time to time” and refused resolution. Does this sound like a place you’d like to stay?

This was an enjoyable stay in a great area of Providence. Everything went as described. Greatly appreciate the opportunity to stay here. I will be back . :)
