The Laurel Haus was perfect for our family with plenty of room for everyone. The mattrices were amazing so we all slept great. Everything was just as described and we loved this home. We highly recommend for anyone visiting Lakeside.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at 344 Laurel. I could see us booking an entire week at this house during the summer of 2024. It was a perfect space for us.

This was our first time in Lakeside and Laurel Haus was perfect for us. It's in a quiet part of town near the lake and the pool/fitness facility. We loved the short walk along the water into the heart of the town. The house itself is quaint and has character but was very clean and we loved the recently upgraded kitchen/bath and sofas. The screened porch was wonderful. It has one full bath and bedroom downstairs which was great for our older traveler who couldn't have made it upstairs. Plenty of space to park out front and fun to sit around in the backyard as well. I'd definitely recommend a stay here, somehow I think the pictures don't quite do this place justice.

The reason for the two star review is because we had terrible customer service by the host of our vacation home, Lisa. She was the only person that was listed as a contact for our stay. After calling her and leaving a voicemail 3 times and sending her an email we were unable to get into the house because we needed the code to access the key which was in a lock box. Luckily we were able to get into the home because of a small hole in the screen door of the sun porch which allowed us to unhook the hook and eye lock. The door from the sun porch to the house was unlocked so we were able to get in. After continuing to try and get in touch with Lisa, she called me back two days after check in the early evening and left a voicemail with the code. So, for two days we had no way of locking the door. We paid a lot of extra money for booking through VRBO/Evolve. I don't know if Lisa is employed through Evolve or the owners but for the added expense we paid to have her as a host. It was not worth it. In the future when staying at Lakeside we will not be using Evolve to book our stay.

Overall positive experience from the property. Cottage was exactly as advertised in the pictures and the AC kept all the rooms cool. Cottage is centrally located to the pool and downtown. Parking was pretty tight for our two SUV’s though.

Looking at the online picture, it would almost appear that there aren’t any houses close by, but it’s a village of houses very close together. It’s fairly quiet. People walking, bikes going up and down the streets, golf carts out and about. The house is an old house but kept up fairly nice. There are NO overstuffed chairs or couches, which we really missed. No comfy place to sit and put your feet up! We loved walking down along the lakeside path! It was our first time in this vicinity, alittle different vacation than what we would normally be used to.

The pictures on Vrbo sight are not accurate. The property outside was very overgrown with weeds, so any outside activities at the house were not possible with small children. The inside did not have the room air conditioners in all but one bedroom as the description indicated. The owner did compensate for that and was much appreciated. Beds were very comfortable and porch was a great place to gather.

If one is looking for a lovely, relaxing, get away with a beautiful view of the lake within easy walking distance then this is definitely the place for you- The communication with the guest contact was exceptionally positive. All of our questions were answered almost immediately and when something was needed it was delivered to the front door! We would definitely take another vacation at this home. Thank you to the owners for sharing with us-
