Nestled in Buffalo River, this lovely house for $219 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Welcome to Leatherwood house the hidden jewel of the Ozarks that gives you Secluded luxury in Arkansas in the middle of the forest next to Steel Creek National Park on the Upper Buffalo River, our address says Jasper but we are closer to Ponca. Not just a vacation rental but also an art gallery, Furnished with everything you need, wifi and satellite tv, all you need to bring is your food, drink, and laundry detergent. Leatherwood House is Cozy for Two and Comfortable for six. Easy to find, Hard to leave, come to the woods for a soothe the soul experience. There are multiple decks, with a gas grill and seating, a fire pit, and central access to all the local attractions, wildlife viewing, hiking, canoeing, shopping, exploring, rock climbing, and horseback riding. Leatherwood House layout includes two floors with two bedrooms perched on the second floor, one with a queen-size bed and the other with two twins. The master suite is secluded from the rest of the living space on the first floor and looks out onto the deck. It has a Smart TV that does not get outside channels but streams, you can bring your Roku and enjoy all the channels you enjoy at home. Sleeping space is also included in plush couches that pull out in the living room. A pack n play is provided for babies and an extra mattress for children when needed. Gleaming hardwood floors and ceramic tile complete the rustic quality while central air and heat are anything but backwoods. Two full bathrooms, one with a claw foot tub and the other, with a nice sized shower, make for convenience during your stay. Our kitchen has all the dishes and cookware you will need with an electric range and oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, regular coffee maker, k-cup coffee maker, and other small appliances. If there is anything you have forgotten or need to prepare your meals just call over to the office, we probably have it! For your enjoyment, there is a room in an alcove off the living room with board games and puzzles. In the living room, you will find satellite TV with local networks and a DVD/VCR combo with a library of movies for your viewing pleasure. Local phone service is available free of charge. A calling card is required for all calls outside the Jasper area. Free WI-FI and wifi calling are available. We consider pets people and charge for them, so please add them as a guest when filling out your reservation, not as a pet.You will be responsible for any damage, and we require a credit card number when you check in to cover anything that happens. We provide special towels and sheets for your pets, located above the washer/dryer. So if you have a pet, when you enter the number of people, include your pet as a person. The house will be open and ready for you, go on in and make yourself at home. Any information you need is found on the fridge. We are within walking distance and our phone # is on the fridge.

We’ve been to Ponca several times over the years, and Leatherwood Cabin has been our favorite place to stay so far. We spent Thanksgiving week with three of our children ages 15,12 and 8, and everyone had such a great time that we didn’t want to go home. The cabin was very comfortable for the five of us, and all of the artwork throughout makes it so charming. The kids enjoyed all of the games in the game room in the endless selection of movies. We will definitely be back!! Thank you Mr. David for the hiking trail suggestions!!!

The was most secluded place we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in several rentals. It was very clean and we had everything we needed at the cabin. The setting was beautiful! Our favorite thing about this place was being to walk are dog daily on the gorgeous road coming into the cabin.

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin was just as stated and well organized. We brought groceries with us and had everything we needed. It was the perfect time to visit with the changing leaves, amazing temps and even saw Elk. We’d love to visit again!

My dad and I loved staying here! Secluded and quiet. Only thing is maybe don't trust google maps to get to the driveway. It had me go on a grass lane when the ACTUAL driveway was 50 yds further down the road. That's what I get for not using common sense and putting all my faith in technology! Loved the stay though.

Lovely cabin and well appointed with everything we needed. The only small downside was the 1.8 mile drive up to the cabin on a dirt road that is better suited for a truck than a minivan! We made it just fine but it was a doozy of a driveway!

This is our third time to stay at Leatherwood. The layout is a little funky but rooms are roomy, beds are comfy, kitchen is well stocked, and it’s nice to have washer/ dryer (bring your own detergent). We Love the fire pit and lots of wood is provided. But lots of poison ivy near fire pit so beware. It’s very dark and great stargazing. We will be back! Thank you for sharing your home and thanks for allowing us to bring our pup!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is conveniently located to trailheads and river activities and very secluded in a beautiful woods. The house is quaint and had everything we needed, including a firepit outside for cooler evenings and a great gas grill on one of the decks. The owner Pam is very kind and quick to respond to messages. The listing says there are two bedrooms upstairs, but it doesn't make it clear that these are separated only by a curtain. We made it work, but some families may prefer a little more privacy.

The location of this cabin was so perfect for hiking trails. The area around the cabin was a great hiking trail to it’s self.. Plenty games and puzzles. TV in living room had DVD and lots of DVDs to play, the area was so lovely we didn’t use. DVD player in bedroom wasn’t working. There was plenty of everything you would need. We brought Thanksgiving dinner and celebrated in front of the beautiful scenery of the bay windows.

Very nice house. Just needed some deep cleaning. Oven filter was smoking it was so dirty. It was kinda cold the first night, so we put on the heat, furnace filter also very dirty. We also had some mice problems. They ran from the washer/dryer to the heating vents. Got into our marshmallows and chocolate . Patio table needs to be replaced. But overall a nice place in a very good area. Just needs a deep cleaning

Neat house! We were looking for a location that was close to Ponca so we could hike trails in the surrounding area. This was the perfect location for us! It’s very quiet and secluded... great for a break from the hustle and bustle of our city life. We were glad we drove the truck because the driveway up to the house is a bit rough and also steep at the last portion. Still very passable in a car, but I think it was probably easier in our truck. We took our own food and cooked our own meals. The kitchen is well equipped. The house is well stocked with everything else you need. Beautiful wooded location. It was such a delight to view all of Pamela’s art on the walls too! If we go back to the Ponca area, we will definitely try to stay here!

This may be my new favorite place to stay close to Jasper. Secluded is definitely the best word to describe it and it was great. We had plenty of space to spread out and my granddaughters enjoyed it very much. It is the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen. We plan to go back!!
