Nestled in Houghton Lake, this charming cottage for $182 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Enjoy our cozy cottage with lake views from living room, kitchen, and family room. We have a fully stocked kitchen if you choose to eat in. A gas grill is available for your use. We have 2 kayaks and an assortment of life preservers to enable you to explore the water - there is a wonderful sandbar very nearby. After day on the water or trail, or golf course, return to the cottage and enjoy the fire pit out back. The lake access is a 4 minute walk to a warm, shallow, sandy bottom - perfect for young ones! Relaxing and unwinding is the sole purpose! Before requesting to book, please read all house rules. Requests to book that do not comply with house rules will be declined. We hope you understand. 3 security cameras are on exterior of property in order to record any damage or security concerns. They monitor the front and rear doors and driveway only. They are not live monitored, but video can be reviewed later if damage is discovered. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time staying in this cottage! We were visiting our grandmother and we were looking for a quiet place near her home. This place was perfect! It is a very comfortable place in a nice neighborhood. It had all of the comforts of home and we look forward to staying here again! Its a cozy cottage with nice views of the lake!

Jeff was awesome in communicating when needed. Cabin was super clean. Comfortable and quiet. We had my 4 year old and she had a blast. So many options for beach vacation. I would definitely go back for a week anytime. Beds where comfortable also thats always a plus! Thanks for letting my family enjoy.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t accommodating to our plans. Place was very nice. WiFi excellent. Good kitchen capabilities. TV entertainment not so good and complex to navigate. Normal issues with well water use.

This was a beautiful cabin located on one of the prettiest streets in Houghton Lake! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed! Jeff was a great host and had exceptional communication ensuring we had a wonderful stay! Just a very short walk down to the water where we were able to watch a gorgeous sunset. Will definitely be staying here again!! Thank you Jeff!!!

Brought family for Father's day place was clean and peaceful place we loved the view of the lake nice size kids enjoy there self Jeff was Great and helpful kitchen was stocked to cook which was very helpful P. S Don't forget your bug spray would recommend a portable bug zapper for porch . Would come back 🙂

This cabin was a great spot to stay inwill definitely rent here again. right across from the lake with lake views easy access to the lake. very comfortable beds and the cabin was probably the cleanest place I have rented through vrbo. our host Jeff check in on us to make sure everything was perfect. we really enjoyed the stay

Very nice with all the amenities. The property was clean with no shortage of cookware, bath supplies, a spacious refrigerator and freezer, stove and microwave. The property sits right across the street from Houghton lake with a nice lake view out the dining room window. I used the Internet with no problems, the main reason I went there. Overall, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. There was no hint of cigarette smoke or mildew. There was even a Keurig Coffee maker stocked with coffee pods and a wireless phone charger. Wow, a barbecue and kayaks, what else could you want. Jeff was responsive to my messages which made it pleasant. I would highly suggest staying there to my friends and family. It's worth every penny and more.

We visited during February, and while we’re not snow mobilers or into ice fishing, we still had a lovely stay. Hartwick Pines is just a short drive away and was beautiful and so quiet all covered in snow, and my 3 year-old got a kick out of standing on a very frozen Houghton Lake. The house was comfortable, and the owners checked in on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The home is obviously well-loved and cared for, the evidence of pride of ownership present despite everything being buried in snow. We’d love to visit again during the summer months.
