Beautiful location and well-kept property. It was raining the whole time and we couldn't go out but still enjoyed the view from inside. It would have been fun to set a fire outside or go fishing in the lake; hopefully, next time. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, but we brought our own; it was no big deal.

This cabin is situated directly across a very quiet road from Lake Wallenpaupack. We stayed in October as the leaves were changing and it was absolutely beautiful. Since the location is so remote, you feel like you have the entire lake to yourself and we didn't see another person the entire time. The cabin's interior feels very "cabin-y" and outside of the slightly poor bedding situation (small / old beds), we had an amazing time.

Very nice location and nicely appointed home. A few things need addressing however. The large vertical blinds need replacing, several slats missing, rendering privacy at night impossible. Deadbolt on main entry door not functioning from the inside - security issue. Several large hornets above front door, one got inside! Windows sills when opened were very dirty.

We enjoyed our stay. Our only gripe is that the basement was very damp and smelled funky which dispersed to the rest of the house. Once we lit some candles and cooked, the smell wasn’t as noticeable. Other than that, they provided everything we could of needed. The place was clean-ish but not spotless. Cobwebs in certain windows as well as the curtains to the outside deck were wrecked and inoperable. We thoroughly enjoyed the indoor fireplace and the water front. Overall we would stay here again. We were very appreciative of it being dog friendly and it was ultimately the main selling point for us.

The lake house was clean and organized and exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway.

Great stay! Beautiful surroundings and plenty of room. The only negative was the sofa and lounge chair could have been updated. It seemed to be very old. Additional comfortable seating would have been nice as well for 4 people to be able to watch a movie on a rainy night. The beds were on the smaller side (doubles) All in all we had a great time. Everything was supplied that we needed.

Me and my wife, my four daughters, two son-in-law‘s and one grandchild had a great time at the lake house the private dock on the lake and the location was great.
Had a great family vacation

Our overall impression is it's a great lake house stay and is situated in a very quiet and serene neighborhood. The kitchen area was large which was nice to be able to cook dinners. The boat ramp was sufficient for our boat.
There is plenty of parking, however the driveway is steep in some areas. But plenty of your room for parking.
To get to the water there is some walking however you are able to take your car down and sit it by the water which was helpful.
Our only real complaint is the beds may need to be replaced, they were uncomfortable for the whole family and the couch in the living room needs to be replaced, the couch supports are bad.
But the house overall did fit the rest of our needs the Wi-Fi was good the tv gave a lot of channels...water pressure in the shower was great and we enjoyed the big deck a lot. And our dogs adjusted well. Thank you!

It was a great experience you just want to make sure your boat is tied up to the dock good the lake can get very ruff

Upon entering the private community, we immediately felt relaxed. The red cottage was just as pictured! I did have to use my 4WD to get to the top of the driveway. I think the heavy storms this season caused some erosion.
Unfortunately, Abby's emails went to my spam, so we couldn't enter immediately, but she responded within 20 minutes to help me. She has been responsive with all my requests.
We loved everything, beautiful kitchen, amazing deck, beds were small, but we anticipated that, one queen upgrade would be amazing and we'd definitely return every year! The basement was a typical mountain damp basement. Not sure why there's a picnic table, its definitely not a place to hangout, but worked great as an extra bathroom and to wash our clothes.
We spent every morning watching the sunrise on the dock, and evenings grilling. The firepits and chairs by the water were comfortable and peaceful.

It is what it is advertised as: a cabin. During the week it was quiet and pristine. Friday and Saturday nights on the lake sounded like a motorcycle rally. The cabin itself was nice, it could have been cleaner but it wasn't dirty either. The driveway is a bear I had to use 4 wheel drive. very nice fridge and kitchen area. close to marina (which is what we wanted)

We had a great weekend here. We brought our kayaks and loved the easy (but steep hill!) lake access. Cairns Island was a very short paddle away and everyone from my 3 year old daughter to my 65 year old mother in law enjoyed picnicking and swimming off the island.

Overall cottage worked well for us. You do get a workout with the steps to the lake. Had a few issues but the property manager responded quickly.

Our stay at the red cottage was such an easy, fun, relaxing first family vacation. Having the dock right by and being able to park the boat was such a plus. The ACs in the house cooled everything down, the grill was used multiple times, and Abby was very responsive to anything we needed! My family and I will definitely be staying again!

We had a great time at the Red House, it is in a great location in a quiet neighborhood of the lake. 30 minutes to Scranton where my family lives. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The cabin itself is very well maintained. Everything you need is there. We loved the fire place and sitting down by the water. We enjoyed the deck and the serene setting. We had a wonderful week visiting our family and friends in the Scranton area.

Once we turned off the main road onto a gravel road we knew we booked the right property and after a few twist and turns, we arrived. We pulled up the long driveway, unloaded and began to enjoy the property. The house itself was quaint, and had a great cabin feel to it. There was plenty of room for my wife, myself and our little dachshund. The beds were comfy, the house was well appointed and the deck with the grill were great.
Now its is a bit of a trek down to the lake, but once you cross the road, you're almost there, and your own personal cove with a dock await. We spent a majority of our time on the dock fishing, and the rest on the water kayaking and enjoying the nice weather. We did bring our own kayaks because there are none on site but if you don't have your own, there are plenty of rental companies on the lake. Again, well worth it, its the only way to get to Cairn Island which is a great time.
There are a bevy of great restaurants within a 20 minute or so drive. We went to great German Restaurant, Nurnberger Beirhaus, they had great food and a great outdoor beer garden. Other stores for the necessary supplies are fairly close as well. Another activity we recommend would be taking a trip to Moosic for a minor league game, it was only 30 minutes out and its a great little ballpark.
All in all my wife and I had a wonderful time and are looking forward to booking this property again.

We had a great time at the Lake Wallenpaupack cabin.
The cabin was super clean, plenty of room, and easy access to the lake. The cabin is in the woods across the street from the lake with its own lake access and private dock.
We launched our paddle boards from the dock, there is a cove around the corner with calm water where boats park and families swim and a small island with trails to explore. Great communication with Abby, hope to come back and definitely recommend.

The furnace didn’t work and the main part of the house was at or below 60 degrees our whole stay. No real sense of urgency to help us either. Disappointing.

Just what I wanted. Great place!

We found the place not exactly spotless . You would think with the cleaning fee's they charge it would be cleaner. When we arrived the dock had not been put in yet even tho it is advertised as it is. Double check that before you go.

This property was exactly as it was represented. Excellent quiet place to enjoy family and friends. Would 100% lease this again.

The property was fine. For the price of the cleaning fees, I expected far better cleanliness when entering the home.

Well cared for dated cabin. Simple check in process. Lots of additional fees, difficult property management team, and several dirty items upon arrival. Extensive cleaning requested from tenant upon checkout in addition to the cleaning fees charged, but no cleaning supplies were provided.

Enjoyed a long weekend with extended family in the cottage. Cottage sits high on a hill- driveway is steep. Short walk to the lake which was nice. Beautiful gas fireplace, cute loft. Two nice bedrooms on the first floor. Open kitchen, spacious porch. I would definitely return.

My friends and I wanted to get away for the weekend and were looking for a place to stay that really felt like a cabin in the woods. This place was perfect! We had a great time, we did not feel like we were super close to the neighbors, the lake is super close and it snowed! We were still super warm and the fireplace made for very cozy hanging out. We brought all our own food and could heat it up very easily. The basement was a bit cold (but it's winter so that's expected) but we all had warm enough clothes to hang out down there. The host was also so helpful and easy to reach for any of our questions. I would definitely stay here again!!

We really enjoyed the cottage. It was very private and cozy! Check in and out were very easy.

The location was perfect. Close to town and plenty of activities nearby. Waterfront property allowed us to enjoy a fire by the lake at night.
Unfortunately the house cleaning was not up to par but they did reimburse partial payment. The house needs a little TLC and it would be a real gem. Exterior lights need to be repaired as they were not working.

My wife and I stayed at the cabin for two nights and we eally enjoyed it. The cabin had a beautiful full wood interior and gas fireplace. Lake Wallenpaupack is just a short walk down the hill, and you have you own dock. We would definitely recommend the cabin to others.

It's been a long time since I had the chance to take my family on a nice getaway. The contract person was very nice and replied to my emails with questions and concerns promptly, even suggested a boar rental facility for me and my family. The trip, the house and the memories made were better than I could've imagined. Thank you for having us, and allowing us to make memories that will last a lifetime at your beautiful getaway.

We had a wonderful time. Cabin is spacious, well stocked with great access to nearby restaurants, the Lacawac sanctuary, Hawley and more. Host was always available and responsive. The dogs were super happy and loved the wraparound porch and the immediate walking area on the road below the home. . The hike to and from the lake would be arduous for those not in shape. Having some paved walkway near the dock would help. Walking on the large cobblestones required care and coordination. All in all, a wonderful Lake Wallenpaupak cabin.

Nice neighborhood, very quiet area, from the property to the lake is a very good 3-5 minutes walk depending on your condition.
You need bring all your water equipment. We brought safety vests and floats.
It doesn’t has shampoo or Landry detergent, but there is a store 5 minutes away.
The only thing that bothers us is dirtiness. There were all kinds stuff in dining table cracks, there were at least 3 different hairs ( different color and texture) on the stairs to upstairs and downstairs. There are leftovers in microwave, and roaster.
Table and chairs out side on the porch were dirty, I had the boys cleaned 20 minutes before we could sit down on them.
It is quite small, but for the price they listed we should not complain.
But on by bill there was additional charge ,linen fee ,cleaning fee ,service fee ,these should be refunded. We booked 3 nights, we only stayed 2 nights. Before we leave we cleaned the area we used, we didn’t touch the microwave and the roaster. We stayed at a house 5 minutes away last year, we felt every penny we spent was well spent.

The house is in a very small community with a nice private beach. Property manager and owner were quick to answer any questions and provide assistance.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was very nice & cozy. The landscape is gorgeous with fern’s covering the banks and the wooded lot really gives it that cabin mountain feel we were looking for.
We had a boat and jet ski so the driveway was not really good for parking large boat trailers.”it’s super steep.
Definitely be prepared to do lots of steps it’s a workout to get from the dock back up to the house especially if you forget something lol!
The dock was old but nice, we all really enjoyed the cove it’s very private and quiet with a gorgeous wooded setting. It is very shallow at the dock area we had to be very careful parking our boat there on the right of the dock you can walk out very far and the water only comes to your knees luckily the neighbor let us know to avoid that side and stay to the right of the dock if your looking out from the cove.
The living room furniture could definitely be updated to make it more comfortable to relax it’s kind of old and worn out. The beds were comfortable just a bit creaky.
There is a washer and dryer which was very convenient. The road does offer a round about if you go past the driveway which is nice for turning around especially if you have jet ski / boat trailers. We also were able to launch our jet ski from our private dock which saved a lot of time nog having to go to the boat launch. We didn’t attempt to launch the boat at the dock like we did the ski it’s not deep enough, but we were able to park it at the dock during the day after we launched it at Ledgedale.
Overall we had a very nice stay and would recommend it we made a lot of wonderful memories with our family there.

We absolutely loved it. Everything was as described. Very secluded. Easy access to the lake. By the way great fishing spot. We got and released few smallmouth bass, black crappie, rock bass. Absolutely nothing to complain about 😊. Looking forward to booking this place again for another trip soon. I had a questing while in the house and Abby replied instantly . Thank you Abby. Great service.
