This is one of the most well appointed VRBOs I have ever booked with a super responsive host. The sizable kitchen is well equipped and living room couches super comfy. Loved the porch and lakeside dock. Be mindful that There are quite a few stairs required between the driveway and house, in the house and then down to the dock. And it’s worth every step!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin while visiting for a Virginia Tech football game. It was a perfect, quiet spot for our family of 4!

Fantastic Easter weekend stay - cozy cabin on the lake, there were great activities to do there as well as in the area. Went horseback riding, fishing, grilling and canoeing. Sitting on the porch with the view of the lake was fantastic. Would stay again.

We stayed during our daughter's graduation from Radford. It was close to everything yet completely relaxing when we arrived at the cabin. We didn't get a chance to go on the lake but would definitely return to take advantage of the amenities. Nothing was missing inside or out.

We wanted a cabin retreat with genuine comfort for a long weekend. This cabin in Claytor Lake State Park fit the bill perfectly.
It’s beautifully rustic set on a steep hill overlooking an inlet of the lake. Nicely furnished, with even a few mods to the season. Quiet, peaceful, comfortable and really cabin-y. Beautiful picture windows, rocking chairs to enjoy the porch (both covered & open), a boat house with canoes and paddle boards (we didn’t use), a hammock, well equipped kitchen, nice sized bathroom with everything you need as well as space for your own stuff. We remarked several times that we thought the owners organized and outfitted the place with everything you could need/want. The owner and his team were very communicative, accommodating, and attentive throughout our stay.
We came home relaxed and recharged. Thank you so much for a fantastic experience.

The home is beautiful inside and out. I stayed to visit family and it was perfectly located to where i needed to be. The home was really cute and cozy. The host was amazing and checked up on me to see how I was enjoying my stay and if I needed anything so the communication was always there. There was no issues what so ever. The stay was even better being the home is on the water. I got to lay out and tan, swim and watch the boats go by. I will definitely be back

The host was very helpful, and the home is lovely. Lots of stairs to get to and around in the cabin, but the setting is lovely, the home is very nice, and the host was really great.

The house was just a short drive off I-81, easy to find, sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and had great little touches like providing coffee and s'more fixings and allowing access to the kayaks and canoes. It's in a quiet area on a scenic cove with easy access to the main lake channel. We had a great time there and Dwayne was very communicative. Be aware that there are lots of steps to navigate and cellular service at the house is iffy, but that comes with the territory of vacationing on a mountain lake!

We wanted a cozy cabin with all the creature comforts (Wi-Fi, tv, full kitchen, good shower). This cabin in the Claytor Lake State Park with water access fit the bill perfectly. The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, cozy, and set up with everything you need to get away from it all. The owner/managers were attentive, available, helpful, and just so kind. We highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Va Tech (as we were) and want something peaceful, cozy, and comfortable.
(Note: the cabin is situated on a hill and there are a lot of steps from parking to the entrance.)

This property is a nice place to gather and spend some quality family time. The owners are extremely nice and helpful any time you need something! The place definitely needs some improvements (new dish ware, cleaner upon arrival(we had to clean almost every dish before being able to use it), organization of items, safer setup of TV, updated items in general). There are quite a lot of stairs, so be mindful of that. Definitely recommend the property just for the niceness of the owners!! They are still in the process of fixing some things up, so as time goes on I know this place will get better and better. Will have to visit again once updates have been made!

We loved this cabin! Two friends and I made plans for a quiet getaway to shake off our weekly routines and recharge as we head in to winter. This was just what we needed. The cabin was plenty large for the three of us, but cozy, too. We spent most of our time cooking and lounging in the open air kitchen and living room. Our hosts had decorated with lots of autumnal décor. We made good use of the gas fireplace and grilled. And we took several plunges into the lake for some cold water therapy. Loved it. I could see this place being great in any time of year, depending on what you're looking for.

Our stay at this property was like a dream! This is an ideal place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet, cozy getaway. The hosts were incredible - due to no one else checking in after, we were offered late check out and given the code to check in a couple of hours early. The property itself was well kept, clean, had lots of board games, etc. We definitely hope to come back!

We loved the cabin! We had a great time! We loved having the blankets, loved the porch with lights outside. Had fun with canoe& built a fire down by the water. Having wood available and s'mores supplies was awesome! Games & kitchen supplies were great too! There are lots of steps with no handrail going down to the water. Steps to get to cabin from parking area were a little scary when we arrived in the dark.

We were having a great stay right up until someone stole a wooden divider used to organize our minivan. I left it leaning against a pole beside the parking pad and when I came out in the morning to pack, it was gone. A pretty negative last impression.
