Castaway Cottage by Bailey Vacation Properties is located inside a quiet neighborhood in Perdido Key, Florida with PRIVATE BEACH ACCESS for the neighborhood AND backyard access to BOATING ON THE OPEN WATER. The neighborhood is surrounded by the sanctuary of Perdido Key State Park, which adds to the peacefulness. Come relax on the uncrowded beach, swim in the PRIVATE HEATED POOL, fish off the backyard TREX dock, hit the volleyball around, and park YOUR BOAT or a RENTAL Boat on the water right in the backyard! The house has just been remodeled throughout and has all new furniture. PRIVATE HEATED POOL, Trex decking throughout, and lovely interior. For large groups, see VRBO #1470646 which is our property next door that sleeps 20. We have three other houses in the neighborhood as well. Short drive from the house to Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Pensacola. *All pools heated March 1 - November 30th* If the exclusiveness of the neighborhood isn't enough to draw you in, this upscale 3 bedroom/ 3.5 bath house certainly will. Walk 4 minutes from the front door to the ocean. Park your boat or rental at the dock behind the house for the duration of your stay, and explore all that the waterways of Orange Beach, Perdido Key, and Pensacola have to offer. For your beach outings, we provide an Icemaker, a cooler with wheels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach toys, and a wagon with off-road tires to tote your belongings. For waterway play, we provide 2 kid kayaks, 2 adult kayaks, and a SUP stand-up paddleboard! For your boat, we provide a place to tie up for the duration of your stay with water and power at the dock. 2 Tennis & 6 Pickleball Courts across the street from the house! There is ample seating with a water view from 4 balconies. Ring Toss and Bean Bag corn hole boards are provided for guest entertainment. The entire 3 bedroom 3.5 bath house has recently been remodeled top to bottom with coastal finishes and high-end furnishings. Stainless appliances in the kitchen, which is fully stocked to cook and serve your guests. The living room features new furniture and a 55" 4k HD TV and Blu-Ray player. All the bedrooms feature HD TVs. All 4 TVs have voice command remotes with streaming via Cox Cable, Netflix, YouTube, and other apps. There is super fast wi-fi internet throughout the house. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS and NO SMOKING INSIDE MINIMUM RENTAL AGE 25 Pool Heated March 1 - November 30th. *Pool Heater can be run outside of these dates for a fee if the weather allows* Local Golf Cart and Boat Rental company references are available Enhanced commercial cleaning/disinfecting protocols by a Professional cleaning company. iWave Air Purifiers AND HALO LED Scrubbers are installed in all AC units to actively purify the supply air, killing mold, bacteria, and viruses in the coil and living space!

We loved our stay in Perdido Key! The house is lovely and spacious with tons of amenities. The concierge is super responsive and helpful. The location is perfect, with a very short walk to a beautiful and empty beach. We also loved having access to the pickleball courts!
Pros: Stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful location, clean pool, quiet neighborhood. Beds are comfy and house was clean.
Cons: The top bunks were not fully made and one was a little sandy. Pillows and toilet paper were definitely not the best. Comforters were a little too lightweight for my liking but plenty of blankets to add some comfiness to your bed.
Overall we absolutely loved it. Thanks so much for a great stay!

The property was perfect for our beach trip in the off-season. There where plenty of activities included that kept us entertained the entire trip. I was able to speak directly with the concierge when I had any questions and they where able to help resolve things immediately. Overall a great place to stay.

Bring your boat it was a fisherman's dream. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. Easy location to restaurants and shopping. Pool was great along with the boardwalk/ dock that we pulled the boat up to. Very peaceful, safe setting. There were a few minor issues and the owners were fabulous in regards to resolving all of them. We would book with this home again!

The house was spacious and in a great location. We loved the private pool and the short walk to the beach was easy. We had an issue at the beginning of our stay that wasn't really the fault of the host. Our concierge, Lindsey, was quick to address the issue and was very responsive. At the end of the day, you don't want to have issues on vacation, but when you do, you hope for a quick response and fast resolution. We would definitely stay here again or with one of their other properties because the customer service was great.

This house was perfect! It met all of our needs, very well stocked kitchen, plenty of beds for 10 adults, and an ice maker that actually works! Great location for everything we wanted to do (play golf, flora-bama, the beach). We will save this house for future trips.

I can't thank Eric enough for providing us with an amazing vacation spot in Perdido Key, FL! From the soft, inviting beach sand to the well-stocked house, everything was top-notch. Our family had an absolute blast spending our days by the pool and beach, enjoying activities like kayaking and paddle boarding in the tranquil mornings, and engaging in spirited sand volleyball matches at night. Plus, the location was perfect with fantastic restaurants nearby, adding even more flavor to our stay. This was truly a 5-star experience that left us with unforgettable memories!

Wonderful vacation home. With just 2 adults and 2 children of our planned group able to come, we had much more than adequate room. The house is quite nice with everything we needed for the week. Great pool- better than almost all we’ve seen in some 10 years of vacation rentals. Definitely would recommend!

We had a great time at our stay in Perdido Key. The house has so many activities to offer (swimming, kayaking, volleyball, tennis close by, or just sitting back relaxing or watching movies in the evenings). It was a short walk to the beach. The beach wagon, sand toys, chairs, and umbrella were greatly appreciated. The umbrella strollers were also a huge plus to have available on a day trip to Fort Pickens.
The location in general is great. The beach area is quiet and wasn’t busy at all. The kids had room to walk and explore and we could easily see them down the beach and not have to search through people. We drove to both ends of the key and even took a drive to Fort Pickens one day. Great location!
My only complaints would be the rode to cross to get to the beach was a lot busier than I expected. Traffic is about constant with people driving from back and forth down the key, and there isn’t any crosswalk at the beach entrance. Only 2 times did a vehicle slow down for our family of 8 to cross. I couldn’t image how this would be in peak season.
The beach wagon provides was full of sand, but we used it for the sand toys and chairs and didn’t bother us. It was nice to have it! We brought another wagon from home to haul two of the kids in with some bags and towels to and from the beach.
The sweeper provided for use was nice to have and used. However, it needs to be cleaned more regularly. The tank with dirt was emptied, but the roller brush was covered thick with hair and things. The filter looks like it could have used a good washing as well.
The pool could have been a a little warmer for me. The kids enjoyed it, but with the days being a little cooler and breezy, it made it too hard for me to get into the pool. I’m more of a 86-87 degree pool lover! 😄
What the house had to offer far outweighed the “complaints”. We thoroughly loved our time here and would love to come back!

This was by far our favorite rental experience. From the booking, to the actual stay, communication was excellent. The property was super clean and well maintained. We were very impressed with all the little details that were thought of such as the beach wagon and toys so that we didn't have to pack our own, the pool floats, life jackets and kayaks made all the water activities even better. We will most definitely be back and hope to rent other properties also owned by Mr. Bailey. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed at the Castaway Cottage for a week in November - we loved every second of our stay! This house had everything we could have asked for and more. It had an easy walk to the most beautiful white sand beach with no crowds. It felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves each day. We really appreciated the wagon and beach chairs to watch the sunrises and sunsets with! It was nice to know that we did not have to pack our own beach equipment. The heated pool was perfect during the chilly November days and warm enough for us to use during our time there. We also really enjoyed playing tennis and pickleball at the neighborhood courts! The house was beautiful and comfortable. My husband really enjoyed and appreciated all the movie channels. We hope to come back again!

Castaway Cottage had everything we needed for a great stay. We had 3 middle-aged adults, 2 early 20's, 3 teenagers, and a 5 year old staying here. Plenty to do for everyone, from tennis and pickleball to kayaking and SUP-ing, and of course lots of pool and beach time. Would be great for babies/toddlers too, as I saw a pack-n-play, booster seat, puddle jumpers, and the pool area is fully fenced and not accessible from the house without lifting a child lock. Less than 10 minutes drive from some restaurants and bars and shopping, and just across from an extremely non-crowded un-developed stretch of beach. The only downsides are: it's not really walkable to anything besides the beach and tennis/pickleball (but we knew this before renting so I wouldn't take away stars for that), and the kayaks and paddleboards could use a little TLC....some broken straps that made seats not function as they should, a missing fin on a board, a missing plug on a kayak, etc., but they were all still usable, and we had a great time taking them out. The house has life jackets in every possible size too, so this was a huge help for us too since we flew down and didn't have room to pack them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castaway Cottage. The walk to the beach was easy, and we felt like we had the beach to ourselves all week. House was great and the amenities were abundant. We enjoyed the pool, tennis courts, kayaks etc. daily. Communication with the owners was easy and they were quick to address the one minor appliance issue we had. Plan on returning.

The house was exactly as advertised, charming, and located conveniently to the ocean and river. The concierge, Lindsey, was responsive, helpful, and very friendly. She provided excellent recommendations and help throughout the week. The amenities available at the house, pool, and ocean gear were impressive and appreciated. Our family had an amazing week at Castaway Cottage. The property is impeccably clean and stocked with everything you could need - from the rooms to the kitchen to the pool to the beach. The organization and layout couldn't be better and the beach is literally just a few minute walk away. Lindsey was great to work with and stayed in touch to make sure we didn't need or want anything, and honestly we had everything we could ask for and much more. Of all the places we've stayed, Castaway Cottage and Perdido Key are probably our favorite and we will definitely be back.
