About this house rental
Welcome to your home away from home. Wildare, or the Big House as we call it, is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath cottage at the heart of the Geneva on the Lake Strip on a quiet dead end street. We have brand new carpet in the living room and we just remodeled the one downstairs bathroom. We have a new tiled walk in shower. The bedrooms are all upstairs. 2 of the rooms have double beds and there are twin beds in the other room. Wildare can accommodate 8-10 guests. We have a fully stocked kitchen with a new gas stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, cookware, flatware, and glassware. Right on site is a new, private inground pool and firepit. Please remember to bring your pool towels! We have a laundry cabin with a coin washer and dryer for our guests' convenience during their stay (only available during the summer months). Only Wildare and our other cottages at the property use these amenities. Each cottage (including Wildare) has a smart TV, WiFi, A/C, their own picnic table, and charcoal grill (you provide your own charcoal). This property is close to all the cool things at GOTL. We are very close to the Geneva on the Lake Municipal Golf Course, wineries, Lake Erie, playgrounds, mini golf, tennis and basketball courts, and all the GOTL attractions and eateries. We are within driving distance to more Wineries, the Covered Bridges, Spire Institute, Geneva on the Lake State Park and Breakwater Beach, the Geneva Marina, and our local Metro Parks.

Great location with easy parking… walkable within minutes to the strip. The pool was really nice and clean.

This is an older property which needs an upgrade. The owners just took over and are working hard to see this is done. They were very responsive when contacted. We had 6 older adults staying here. I wouldn't book for more than that unless you add on 2 kids to stay in the bunk beds. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils. Roku TV was available and we enjoyed that. We only had sheets for the beds, no blankets and 1 towel and 1 washcloth for a 3 day weekend. The bathroom had great hot water and it was a shower only. Drain in shower needed cleaned out and tub needs a shower mat, as one of our adults did slip in the tub. We decided on this cottage for the inground pool access and our guys did enjoy that. It was within walking distance to everything on the strip.

Mixed feelings
Cottage was neat and clean, but I noticed a couple safety issues: Inadequate hand railings on the stairway, NO rubber mat for the bathtub. 1 family member has mobility problems and the stairs were difficult for her. Disappointed that the pool was shared by 9 cottages! My family did not use it. My daughters enjoyed their stay and feel that I am nit picking, but in view of the price I paid I was disappointed!

Stayed for the weekend in winter due to its location. Tiffany was so easy to work with and very responsive to needs/requests. Cottage is older (not fancy) but had everything we needed.
