Dishonest- Did Not Disclose there is No Facility and electricity during load shedding. Not worth it

The location was good & style of interior

There was load shedding issue with No power in the apartment. Each time it went into total darkness it was impossible to be in the bathrooms without electricity.The unit was boiling hot without Aircons during load shedding.

The apartment had a nice set up.

The property never changed the towels at all until I went down to reception and asked them what’s going on. They cleaned the unit and left all the dirty towels in the basket as I did. Also, there was rotten pies that was left in the oven from god knows when. The unit door need to be check because it was super windy and for some reason a lot of wind was coming g though.

Apartment size and location is good. Clean and comfortable bedding

Parking situation is confusing. Lifts for residents are also used to take garbage and dustbins. Terrible smell on the entire floor - drainage smell. Apartment countertops were sticky and felt unclean.

Very relaxed, safe and convenient with easily access to the food court at the Legacy Yard

The rooms were exactly as advertised and comfortable but no inventory list and yet a R2000 deposit for breakages is charged when checking in.

Locating the property was a bit of a hussle as you had to ask people around but fortunately Durban people are very friendly and we finally located the entrance. Unfortunately the reception we received sucked, you can only gain access to the building once you are authenticated and as we approached the door nothing happened and we see this guy sitting in the concierge desk but he is not moving towards opening the door for us. Finally after we have been trying to draw his attention to open the door for us, he finally moves from his desk to open for us and tells us with an attitude that it is not his job to open the door, he is just doing us a favour. We found this to be a bit odd especially when you are expecting guests and you go all the way to make them feel unwelcomed, I told him that maybe we should just drive back to Joburg if this is the attitude we will be facing for the duration of our stay. I will recommend that you revisit how your guests checking in gain access to your building, whether you allocate them a once off code that they will use to gain entry or you have someone who will open the door for them. We did receive a very cold welcome. The apartment has rules that are not communicated to guests and you get to know about such when there is a breach, rules should be communicated to guest upfront so that they know the do's and dont's.

VERY DISAPPOINTING I BOOKED TWO UNITS FOR THREE NIGHTS DURING CHRISTMAS TOWELS AND BEDDING GETS CHANGED EVERY THREE DAYS THIS WAS MOST DISAPPOINTING AS WE WERE ONLY INFORMED ON THE ARRIVAL DAY I WILL NOT BOOK AGAIN AT UMGLANGA ARCH GEM Thete was a broken outdoor chair in the 2 bedroom unit

Very bad one

Location is quiet and good for working from home.

I did get help even though I booked on Booking.com and I was told to call the owners of the unit by reception lady to let them know I have arrived. I didn't even know the owner of the unit as the booking was done through Booking.com website. Bad service

Great check-in, security and parking. Apartment very clean and well-equipped. Beds very comfortable. WiFi was good.

While there were restaurants in the Umhlanga Arch itself (they all looked very nice but almost all were not very good with Covid protocols - masks worn under noses, chins etc.) so we had to drive out if we wanted to eat at a safe restaurant. The location is not walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants or Gateway mall - need to use the car to get there.

Excellent location, accommodating hosts

The apartment is perfectly located at Umhlanga Arch. It is spacious with quality furnishings, kitchen equipment and linens. It had everything we needed. The hosts are gracious and responsive.

Amazing Apartment

Communication from the apartment owners is out of this world. Prompt responses. Our flight got delayed and they arranged late check in for us. They stayed up until we were safely checked in. The apartment is BEAUTIFUL. It's homely, with views to die for. Exceptional customer service. We can't wait to be back.

There is nothing not to like.
