About this house rental
Situated in North Captiva Island, this attractive house for $501 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Thank you for your interest in Magic Po'Cean and North Captiva Island. Leave your car (and your cares) at Pineland Marina in Bokeelia, FL and ferry to the remote barrier island of North Captiva where running, walking, hiking, biking, swimming, shelling, fishing, kayaking, or just kicking back is in order. Some pre-planning is necessary, because this amazing Island has no shopping centers or paved roads. You can order groceries and have them stocked in your fridge; or meet you at the ferry; or pick them up on your way to the marina. Our Management company, Tortuga Properties, will meet you at Island Girl ferry on North Captiva with a golf cart, and a Team member will provide you with highlights of the island and get you settled in the house with your things. Built in 2021, Magic Po'cean is a two bedroom/two full-bathroom, luxury 1110 sq/ft home with a 300 sq/ft screened-in deck overlooking a beautiful, heated, salt-water swimming pool with plenty of deck space and lounges around it. It is also a short walk or golf cart ride to beautiful beaches. It is located on the southern, high and dry part of the island. It has a washer and dryer and a fully equipped kitchen for those who love to cook, and those who don't. Some of the high-end kitchen appliances include a crock pot for easy throw together meals, a Ninja for fresh smoothies, bake wear, fiesta plate-ware, Gotham pots and pans, Keurig duo coffee maker and a french press, plus all the other kitchen gadgets as well. Two large tables provide for indoor or outdoor dining. A high chair and pack and play with mattress and sheets are also provided. Our pet-friendly home is perfect for couples or a small family, with a king master bedroom and a guest bedroom with two twin xl beds that can be made into a king, if preferred. A pocket door allows access to the full, guest bathroom from the guest bedroom. There is also a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. High-speed wi-fi is included with three large TV's and YouTube TV. There are many puzzles, games, DVD's and books for the whole family. Our Weber gas grill is located on the pool deck along with corn hole, ring toss, pool basketball hoop and over-sized Connect Four games. Enjoy swimming in our private pool or use our Island Club membership and use the club's pools, hot tub, kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. Be as active or inactive as you like while enjoying this beautiful, unique island. Enjoy in-home chef services or the two (soon to be three) island restaurants. A golf cart is included with this rental. We also have a beach canopy and a variety of chairs and other beach gear with a wagon to get through the sand. The pictures of our house on this site are a true depiction of its condition, post Hurricane Ian. It is in great shape. We also continue to make improvements to the property to make your stay more enjoyable, such as purchasing the lot behind the house to ensure privacy, adding a shade sail in the pool area for the hot summer months and adding extra landscaping for privacy in the front and around the pool. More than half of this two square-mile island is nature preserve with many protected species and nesting bald eagles. The nature preserve is great for hiking and biking and is loaded with native south Florida flora and wildlife. By mindful of the nesting sea turtles on the beach and watch for dolphins and manatees in the waters around the island. Magic Po'cean has adopted one of the sea turtle nests. Our Island has a night sky ordinance that allows amazing star gazing with our small telescope. Our mission at Magic Po'cean is to make your stay as enjoyable and unforgettable as possible and make you want to return over and over. Your hosts, Bill and Cindy, along with our two pups, Annie and Kya are always rejuvenated with we visit Magic Po'cean. It is truly a remarkable place.

This is our third year in a row staying on North Captiva. This is a great home with fantastic owners. We got a less than desirable start but this was not due to the home or to the owners, but due to Tortuga, the local management company. However, after reaching out to the homeowners we almost immediately had our issues resolved, which is all you can ask for.
Ultimately the home itself was very clean, well equipped, and a slice of paradise. The screened in porch kept the bugs out and the pool was clean and had no issues. Other homes had some hurricane damage remaining and there was work being done all over the island during the duration of our stay, but this is to be expected and wasn't overly intrusive. The beaches are still beautiful and we wanted to stay another week! If you are hesitant to bring your tourism back to the island after the hurricane, don't be. The owners and businesses need you and if you loved the island before, that won't change.
Overall, I would strongly recommend this property and its owners.

Lovely home that was perfect for our family of three. Close to beach and Mangos, great pool. We loved every minute! Appreciated the kitchen had newer gadgets and tools that made cooking easy.

Magic Po'cean is the perfect house for a small family or (in our case) a couple of couples! Nice kitchen, living room to relax and watch TV at night if desired, a true master bedroom with bath, and a second convertible bedroom that can essentially have it's own private attached bath just by locking the hall entry door.
The owners are amazing! It's great having a responsive owner in case there are any issues, but it's also nice having a good property management company taking care of you. As of this review, the house is managed by Tortuga Properties and the service and help they provided was top notch. We don't plan on staying in a North Cap house again that ISN"T managed by Tortuga.
The house is furnished nicely, the pool is heated to perfection and provides a nice combo of sun and shade (if desired) for relaxation after a day at the beautiful beach. And the beach is just a short golf cart drive - or even a reasonable walk - away from the house.
We loved our stay at Magic Po'cean and can't wait to do it aggain!

We have been to North Captiva about 7-8 times, and this was our favorite house so far! The house was very clean and in great condition. The owner was very responsive prior to check in and provided regular updates as the island had sustained some hurricane damage. The property manager was very responsive and accommodating. The pool area was very nice and pool temperature was set very comfortable and warm. The house was very well stocked and comfortable. We can't wait to return!

What a wonderful property! The house is spacious, beautiful, clean and simply spectacular. The host has thought of everything and the home is very well equipped.
The pool was bigger than we anticipated. I do have to mention that it required to have water added a few times we were there and the well water from the hose smells strongly of sulfur.
We absolutely loved our stay at this property and on North Captiva Island.

The house is very nice, and the pool was great. The kitchen is very well stocked, and I love the Fiesta Ware! I would suggest some safety measures in the bathrooms…the tub was very slippery, and a handrail in the master shower would be helpful. We really appreciated that it was dog friendly!

Beautiful Setting amd Home
This property made our vacation perfect. It had everything we needed, was extremely clean, nicely decorated and comfortable in every way The pool was fantastic and the setting was one of the best on the island, a secluded and ideal location that was still close to the beach and the harbor. Cindy was great to work with, both in communication and accommodation. We can't wait to go back and will be staying here again!

My wife and I decided to escape Michigan weather for a few weeks and found Cindy's cozy new home to be the perfect sanctuary. The house is quite charming and even 'cute' as my wife called it, with all of the amenities you could possibly need. We brought our dog and found a special area set aside, inside the fenced pool area, just for her to do her business, along with many other pet amenities.. We took daily walks to the gorgeous beach at the end of the street and enjoyed regular runs to the ice cream shop every night at the other end of the island.
And to top it all off, the Tortuga Property Management team was there for our every need, greeting us at the ferry, moving our luggage, responding instantly to out texts, and regularly checking on us. Quite the luxury!

My wife and I decided to escape Michigan weather for a few weeks and found Cindy's cozy new home to be the perfect sanctuary. The house is quite charming and even 'cute' as my wife called it, with all of the amenities you could possibly need. We brought our dog and found a special area set aside, inside the fenced pool area, just for her to do her business, along with many other pet amenities.. We took daily walks to the gorgeous beach at the end of the street and enjoyed regular runs to the ice cream shop every night at the other end of the island.
And to top it all off, the Tortuga Property Management team was there for our every need, greeting us at the ferry, moving our luggage, responding instantly to out texts, and regularly checking on us. Quite the luxury!
