THE NATURE PRESERVE: On the south end of the residential part of the island, is the entrance to a 600 acre nature preserve. Here you'll discover two hiking/jogging/biking loops that wind you through the white sand paths toward the southern point of the island. BEACHES: A quick 1 minute golf cart ride (or easily walkable) towards the grass airstrip will bring you to a T in the road which will directly point you to two of the best beach entrances on the island. One (east) provides access to the waters of the Pine Island Sound - tends to be calm and is a favorite spot for dolphins to frolic! The other (west) provides an access point to the Gulf of Mexico - a great spot to walk a long stretch of powdery soft sand and soak in a photo-worthy sunset. ISLAND ACTIVITIES: Boats and Fun on NCI rents a large variety of toys!
