If you want a unique house on Lake Lure, this is your place! There is plenty of space for a decent sized group that you can hang out, but also have your space. The outdoor area is spot on with entertainment space! Our only issues we had were getting in the outside door code took at least 4 times of putting it in for it to actually work and the stove burners really didn't work. Other than that we would for sure come back to stay at the villa!

The exterior of the house, the pool and beach, were great. The interior of the house is not good for large group since there is not a large common area or large dining area. The stove has only one functioning burner; three bedrooms are extremely dark with inadequate lighting. Of the 6 bathrooms, there are only 3 showers. The house is in need of repair. I will not return nor recommend this house.

Except for poor response after several calls & texts about a broken microwave--they did not deliver a new one until Wednesday--we had a lovely time. The pool, beach, and lake kept the kids amused and the adults happy and relaxed. Plenty of parking, excellent beds, ample indoor space, and a well-equipped kitchen made everything easy and as advertised. We highly recommend.

First, upon our arrival, we were shocked to see the pool drained and under construction. The pool deck and patios were a mess, construction debris scattered, no cushions on the chairs and on and on. We entered the house to a musty odor. Our 1st evening we had planned to cook a nice meal with our guests, only to find out the oven and stove were very old and did not work. The 2 burners that worked and oven did not heat properly and as for the grill, a health hazard with 4" of grease. The grill appeared to be about 20 years old and never cleaned. The disappointment continued.... many lights did not work, linens were old, the master bed rame on the 1st floor collapsed in the middle of the night . When we called Vacasa upon our arrival to explain the problems, they promised to get back to us. We have not had resolution as of this date. Overall, the house is old and dated and should not be advertised with the photos we viewed online which are misrepresentation. I would not use Vacasa again!

The grounds were not kept up well, rust everywhere, the house in the pictures is absolutely stunning, once we arrived the beach was dirty, boathouse looked like nobody had been in there for years. Even the paint in the room looks old and faded. Appliances are old, the bath tub spas do not work, wifi is horrible, TVs are outdated. You can make the most of it of course but for the money do yourself a favor and find another house on the lake.

This was our second time visiting this home in two years. It is sad to see the lack of attention towards the upkeep of this once magnificent property. Upon arrival, we found the pool area dirty and without the fountain which once stood proud. There was a pool light hanging out of the pool, suspended by a homemade anchor, attached to where the fountain once stood. The heater in the pool did not work. Majority of the paver area around the pool was covered with debris from the overgrown landscaping. All of the exterior furniture was either missing cushions or was mismatched. Multiple lights around the house exterior were out and in several places large cobwebs incased the exterior of the home. Railings around the patio area and pool were in need of maintenance and showed significant amounts of rust. The interior in the home are a extremely dated, which is fine. However, the upkeep on the dated interior is pitiful. All of the blinds and curtain fixtures are either broken or minimally functioning. At one time the home had remote controlled shades. Today, all those shades are broken. Several of the walls with hand painted details now show large holes or absence of repair from previously hanging wall decor. All the kitchen appliances we attempted to use worked but were very dated. We discovered fast food garbage in the entry level trunk when searching for extra bedding. This obviously brings into question the cleanliness of the property. Brass bathroom fixtures are tarnished in multiple bathrooms. In addition, tile work in multiple showers is in need of repair and several sections are missing grout. When we arrived, multiple doors were unlocked with no security system on. Shortly after arriving, the home lost power we contacted Vacasa with what limited service due to no access to wifi because of the power outage with the unsecured residence paired with the unexplained power outage we contacted the local police department. The police informed us that Duke energy was conducting several repairs in the area. We contacted Vacasa again to find out why we weren’t informed of this previously planned energy maintenance and only to receive AI responses that made no sense. The power went out on our last night on property for an extended period leaving us without AC or other amenities you would think a home of this cost would be able to provide. Out or a three night stay, two of our nights were spent in darkness without any assistance from vacasa. In hindsight, I suspect if they kept us without power we would not be able to see more areas of this run down home or have the availability to call and complain. I hope the property is still standing next year but at this rate it is very doubtful. There are many other properties in Lake Lure where you can spend your money.

I have so much to say, but this place was the biggest disappointment in my life. I’ll start off with saying we paid $4000 for a 5 day stay because we thought this house had everything we wanted. WRONG. None of the amenities worked, only has one working stove burner, there’s a LIVE WIRE leading from the fountain to the pool. The fountain was disassembled ALL OVER THE COURTYARD ON TARPS AND PALLETS. There are so many safety hazards this place is an ABSOLUTE NO NO IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN. Then some guys in a truck show up while my family is here and just walk in and take the statue pieces and leave. No warning or anything, just totally invaded our space. The pictures in advertisement? OVER 8 YEARS OLD. This house has fallen in disrepair, the jets in the bath tubs don’t work (not a single one!) the second floor tub LEAKED all the way down stairs and flooded the downstairs bedroom with an inch of water. I reached out for help and got in contact with Neva, the Asheville manager. SHE WAS USELESS, she took my call said she will help me out then ghosted me. I have texts where she promised someone will come out and fix the tub. NEVER HAPPENED. NO ONE CAME SO WE WERE THERE FOR DAYS WITH A FLOODED ROOM. The water is still sitting in the room. The place was horribly cleaned, there was hair in every single bed. A bear also got into the trash before our arrival and threw rotting trash all over the yard, not picked up by anyone. Then there’s grout and tile tools also laid around the property. Rusted nails, broken tiles, and wires are also strewn about the entire property. This place is not worth the money, but the customer service? THE WORST. We never heard back from anyone about our stay. DO NOT USE VACASA THEY ARE A SCAM AND ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY. WE CALLED FOR SAFTEY CONCERNS BECAUSE TWO DOORS DON’T LOCK AND NO ONE CARED. I will be reporting this charge as fraud to my bank and you will not be getting a single dollar from my family. Your company is disgusting, robbing thousands from a hard working family. We saved for months to afford this and what we got was a nightmare vacation that cost us 4 grand. VACASA HAS STILL NOT REACHED OUT TO ME TO HELP BECAUSE THEY DON’T CARE THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY.

The view, having pool and lake was great for our young family. Another refrigerator would of been perfect. Had to go to store several times due to the lack of refrigerator and freezer option.

There were so many outdoor areas to enjoy the lake, pool and lovely views. The house has 5 bedrooms with baths a nice dining room and kitchen and reading area. The furniture is somewhat dated, but clean and comfortable.
It would have been nice to have higher speed internet, but we had great family time. Would definitely recommend this stay.
