Located on the 3rd floor with beautiful views of both the Choctawhatchee bay, lazy river and tropical pool oasis from front balconies. This 1br/2ba unit comfortably sleeps 7. The décor is clean and contemporary with soothing colors and furniture meant for comfort. The warm and inviting master bedroom features tile flooring, a king size bed with Temperpedic mattress and a chair that folds out into a twin size bed, flat panel TV, a private balcony, and private master bath with a shower/ tub combo. The kid-friendly bunk room includes twin bunks with memory foam toppers to make the beds comfortable even for adults, TV, a door for privacy and is located near the guest bathroom. The family room offers a full sofa sleeper, TV, DVD. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a side-by-side fridge/freezer with a water and ice maker, dishwasher, oven with smooth top range, and an over-the-range microwave. Extra touches include a Keurig, crock-pot, fry daddy, new mixer, blender and toaster. A stackable size washer/dryer is provided for your convenience. Very nice property. Enjoyed the Lazy River! Washing machine works, but is crazy loud and pretty slow cycles so plan accordingly 😊. We had a great time and highly recommend.

The location of the condo and the area is gorgeous. We love to vacation here. However things in the condo were not up to par for this area. The ice maker didn’t work all week, shelves and doors were broken in the fridge. The property management company was not timely in responding to any of our requests and they enter the condo without notifying us of when they would be there. We had friends who stayed in another condo and they did not have the issues that we do. Communication is imperative and they were not timely with their responses.

This was our first VRBO rental. Very pleased. Carefree check-in is the best! Also loved the keypad entry - no keys to keep up with. Unit was just as described. Lots of room, never felt cramped with 5 adults. Kitchen very well stocked. End unit meant little to no noise from neighbors. Pools and lazy river were clean and well kept. King bed and bunks comfortable. Didn’t use sofa bed. Chair bed in master is not comfortable at all so we used an air mattress. Sofas in living area comfortable. Loved the skywalk over to the gulf side.
We did have an issue with dryer sounding like it was going to explode at midnight - called emergency number who walked us through turning it off. We were told it would be repaired 2 days in a row while we were there. It was not. Note for next time to bring enough clothes if unable to wash/dry. Again, we were still very pleased with the unit and resort and would definitely choose this unit again.
Would love if all rental agencies/owners would put a resort map in the unit as well.

Another Owner was a Tyrant!
The condo was great! It has plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. I recommend you bring toilet paper because they only left us about 1/4 roll.
The pool area was nice except for this lady named Julie. She is one of the owners and would harass everyone as they entered the pool. She even harassed an 8 year old special needs child and argued with the parents about his age. She made the entire week very unpleasant. She had her pool boy come to o our table and lower the umbrella because it was raining. All of our phones and personal items got soaked. It was not windy nor lightening. It would have been great if she wasn’t there to harass people.

It is an end unit so you get the bonus of having the side windows and get the extra sunshine that other units don’t get. What you don’t see in the pictures is that there is a balcony in the master bedroom as well. Very close to the elevators and stairs as well as the crossover to take you to the gulf-side. The owner was very sweet and friendly. She called me early that morning as we were driving down to let me know the previous tenants had checked out early and to call her when I made it to town and if the unit was clean, we could go ahead and check in. GREAT! We arrived around 3, and called her and she said to go ahead. Got there, only to be greeted by the RUDEST housekeeper who wanted to know why we were there and that we had no business being there before 4. I explained the situation and the unit was clean so I’m not sure why she was so angry. Then a male manager comes in and takes some of our bracelets and tells us not to go on the balcony unless we want to sit in there for three or four days with no air like previous tenants had. This literally all happened within the first 3 minutes of walking in the door. So we never enjoyed the balcony. The master bedroom toilet has issues. It runs for a while. And several of the bowls in the kitchen are chipped.

Wonderful Experience
We traveled to the Florida Panhandle for a wedding. We always look for Condos with lazy rivers which is why we chose to stay at Destin West. The condo was the best one we have ever visited. It was clean, beautifully decorated and well stocked. The property was clean, safe and the lazy river was very enjoyable. We will definitely do this one again.

This condo was very cute. Easy to find and access on the first day. The starter set of necessities was almost just enough. Bed was very comfortable and water pressure in the shower was great. We did not use the skywalk for beach access as it seemed like quite a walk with kiddos. The public beach access is right across the street with bathrooms. Also, the Publix grocery was very close too! Our only complaint is that the condo needs a good deep cleaning. The baseboards all looked filthy and if you looked under the furniture at all you may have found a surprise! We would definitely stay again though.

Very clean and comfortable condo and resort!! Plenty of room in condo. Very easy check in and easy access to get into condo. Great view of entire resort from condo deck. Nice to sit and people watch as can see lazy river and other pools. Also can see the bay and nice to walk around the resort too. Beautiful landscaping. Easy to park in garage and very nice to have access to beach chairs, umbrella, etc. Short walk to beach via walkway over beach road. Can enjoy pools on their gulf side resort too. Many great fresh seafood choices nearby via walking or driving. Loved this family resort and its many amenities. Do wear your pool bands as they do check but they are nice about it. This was by far the easiest place to book and check in to and condo has everything you need. Lots of cooking utensils/dishes and updated appliances. They also had plenty of beach towels which was unexpected. Will definitely come back in the future!!

Stylish space for a small family
Our family enjoyed y this stylish corner unit. We have older children (19,21) so I’m not sure I would stay at this resort again because it’s really geared to families with younger kids. Having said that though you do get a lot from the facility and you’re near so many of the local attractions.

The stay was nice the unit pelican 301 had a damaged washing machine and was going into service so we got a free upgrade to ph06 and it was lovely. Just for FYI this place is very family orientated with curfew quiet times and very restrictive adult behavior such as no profanity.
