Its very common to see Egrets walking around to marsh. Enjoy fishing, crabbing, or kayaking in your front yard. Tide dependent boat access to fishing all over Morehead City. At night the dock glows blue to light the path to the patio. Less than a mile from the Morehead waterfront and three miles to Atlantic Beach. Great house and location but road in and out and parking wouldn’t work if you had a boat but we will stay again if we aren’t taking a boat

Communication was so great, and super fast! Owners went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure our trip with a toddler on oxygen was perfect- from getting our oxygen delivery to the house days before our arrival, checking in on us, etc. Inside is beautiful, and perfect! SOOO SPACIOUS! Outside is perfect, and we loved the water in the backyard, even got out a canoe one evening! Location is great. I feel like we did everything around Morehead City/Emerald Isle/Crystal Coast- but we're definitely looking for a reason to come back to this property!!

Great quiet, chill location. Lots of good indoor and outdoor places to sit and relax. Great views of the marsh and creek. Loved bird watching and kayaking from the dock.

Our vacation was very comfortable we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our time. I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the dock and watching the birds.We brought our kayaks and got out a few times. We would love to come back in the future. Thanks Mel!

We were in Morehead for our wedding and used this house for our family, for our rehearsal dinner and for the girls to get ready on Saturday! It was perfect! Great space and beautifully located on the creek. Perfect views and pictures, plus the kids had a great time running around in the back yard! The house was decorated lovely- simple and beachy and Mel is great as a host. Easy communication and very kind! Will definitely stay there again!

Great site for a getaway! There was plenty of room and very well stocked. There was plenty of amenities. Xtra linens. Lots of room. The back deck was awesome to relax on. Short distance from beaches, stores and restaurants. Access road to property could use some repair, which appeared to be in process during our stay. Great time had by all! Would definitely stay here again!!

Very nice and spacious house. It is surrounded by some beautiful properties and some sketchy ones. It is very quiet. We were 5 minutes to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. Great Wi-Fi, tv in every bedroom and the living room (1st of my Vrbos to be equipped like that). I highly recommend.

The modular home is clean and tastefully decorated, however I wish I would have inquired more about the area. A prior reviewer mentioned “sketchy” which I wish I would have asked about prior to renting. On the way in there is a garbage filled trailer park to one side and on the other there are even people living in tents on a lot. The house right across the way has 2 or 3 abandoned rusty cars and garbage. It was very off putting and we just did not feel very safe. I will stress, if you are ok with the neighborhood- the modular home is very clean and spacious, but for us, had we known about the neighborhood, we would not have chosen it for our vacation.

Clean, quiet and well furnished home. Backyard is peaceful and perfect place to relax. Good proximity to area attractions. The neighborhood is a mixed bag with some pretty run down properties but the house/VRBO itself is great. Thanks!!!

We had a small group of family and friends taking in the holiday activities in Carteret County. This property could not have been more perfect for us. The central location and the house arrangement itself were the just a few of the highlights. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but it didn't alter our enjoyment.

Just left this awesome rental mins from Downtown Morehead City and Atlantic Beach. House had lots of space to spread out and the morning views from the little dock were perfect. Communication from the owner was immediate and everything was provided for us. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed for 4 nights while in the area for a Boy Scout Eagle Ceremony. The home is really lovely and easily accommodated 8 adults. The dock and outdoor seating area are beautiful. The front room has many large windows. There is no better place to drink your morning coffee and watch the many birds fly in and out of the creek. There are 4 bedrooms. Each has a comfy bed and a calm decor. There are 3 full bathrooms. Every room was clean and has a beach feel. The kitchen has everything you need. Check in was easy. Great WiFi. We will definitely come back!

We stayed at the property for period of 10 days. The place is absolutely awesome. Very clean, accommodating, comfortable, and convenient. We definitely will stay at this location again. Side note, the owner always responded promptly.

The house was as advertised. Very peaceful and spacious. Plenary of room for the family. We enjoyed the tranquil setting. This was the first time I used VRBO. This was the most relaxing and stress-free vacation I think I've ever had. Everything was as described in the listing or better. Check-in was a breeze. The house had everything we needed; it felt like home. We will be back. Some of our guests are interested in renting this house for future vacations as well. We will be back! We had a wonderful weekend at Mel’s vacation home. It’s a beautiful and very spacious home. The location was convenient to boat ramps, the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Our kids caught fish, crabs, and shrimp right off the dock. We will be back next year. 😊

Overall they stay was good. Place was nice and kept up well. Only issue is we ran out of garbage bags and TP. Communication with the owner was good and response their responses were very timely.

This was the perfect get away for our family! The wall of windows allowed for amazing views of the water and sun rises. Our kids loved fishing from the beautiful dock while also feeding the seagulls. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. You will enjoy your stay here!

My family of 9 stayed in the home and it was amazing! Lots of space and at a great location for my toddler. Not far from town but secluded. The neighbors are super friendly. It was an overall amazing trip.

Great private home w/easy access to waterfront Morehead City and Beaufort! Enjoyed kayaking and bird-watching on the tidal creek! Home allowed privacy, game night and family meals! Mom is asking when we can go again!

We had a wonderful time. Our family enjoyed being able to go out in the dock to fish and look at the water. House is close to grocery stores and restaurants. The house is on a narrow one way road, that may be of interest to you if you plan to bring a boat. We had a boat and 3 other vehicles. Everything worked out well, just something to make note of. Kitchen is stocked with necessities, but if you plan to cook large meals you may want to bring some larger pots or pans. Would definitely recommend this rental.
