Located in Wild Dunes, this lovely house for $729 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Serenity on Marsh Island was updated in 2022 and is well maintained. It offers an incredible view of the 18th hole of the Harbor Golf Course designed by Tom Fazio, to the left, and a wide open view of the salt marsh, Morgan Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway straight ahead and to the right. Watch the ferry to Dewey’s and the boats transversing the Intracoastal. From this prime location in the Wild Dunes community you are within walking distance to the Harbor Golf Course, tennis courts and the Atlantic Ocean with its beautiful white sand beaches. The Links Golf Course is a short drive away, making this a perfect location for your golf, tennis or beach getaway. Indulge in a spa treatment at the Sweetgrass Inn or enjoy having breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. When you enter Serenity on Marsh Island, you’ll be greeted by walls reflecting peaceful cool tones with images of coastal life setting the stage for relaxation. Step onto the screened porch to enjoy a journey you’ll never forget; watching amazing mango sunsets and enjoying the often present evening breeze from the marsh. This is a birdwatchers paradise. Keep an eye out for Heron, Egrets, Osprey, Red Tailed Hawks and the occasional Rosette Spoonbill. Enjoy time as well on the open deck viewing the starlit night sky. There is also a covered ground level marsh side seating area equipped with six Adirondack chairs and a table. The grill, more seating and side tables are just down the back steps from the deck off the dining room. The well equipped kitchen, dining room and living area provide an open view of the marsh. Each of the three bedrooms has a king bed with high quality linens, tv and attached bathroom. One of the two bedrooms upstairs has its own balcony where you can soak up the sun while enjoying the sights of the marsh, or view the evening constellations. There is a small refrigerator and coffee station in this room as well. There is a second bedroom upstairs which has an expansive view of the Harbor golf course. These two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk in shower. The third bedroom located on the main floor has a lovely golf course view with an attached full bathroom that also accommodates the rest of the main floor. All bedrooms as well as the living room are equipped with smart TVs including access to Comcast Xfinity cable and high speed internet. There is a laundry room with full capacity washer and dryer available. We provide six beach chairs, turkish beach towels, three umbrellas, children’s beach toys and a rolling cart to take them all to the beach, just a short walk away. Serenity on Marsh Island is well appointed and conveniently located to local shops, restaurants and bars. We highly recommend you make reservations at restaurants now. Our world renown downtown Charleston restaurants book up months in advance during the majority of the year. Sullivans Island is 15 minutes away. Historic Fort Moultrie, Patriots Point and Fort Sumter are all within an easy drive. Middleton Place and Magnolia Plantations are about 45 minutes away. A short 30 minute drive takes you to historic Charleston where you can experience horse drawn carriage rides, world renowned restaurants and shopping. We have rented a lot of properties at Wild Dunes, and this, by far, is one of the cleanest and well-maintained. It feels peaceful and less-busy than the beach side. Lovely decor, 3 separate bedrooms, and tons of porch space. It is on the marsh side but is just a quick walk or bike ride over to the beach side/Sawgrass Inn area. I hate to share this secret gem with everyone else as we will definitely be back.

The property is located on the very end of the street with great views of the peaceful marsh surrounding over half of the house. The owners have appropriately named this property Serenity! It was peaceful and quiet! The house was spotless and was well appointed with anything we might need. Yes, we will indeed plan to stay here again! The property owners were very accommodating and helpful!

This house was everything we wanted and more. It's exactly as described, although the porch is even more fabulous than it looks. We spent a ton of time out there enjoying the ebb and flow of the marsh, beautiful breezes, and breathtaking views. Wonderful host and very comfy house. Highly recommend!

This was my first time visiting IOP. This property exceeded my expectations. The first thing we noticed was how clean the property was, inside and out. The check in process was smooth. Janette was available for any questions I had.
I loved how close the property is to the beach. I was able to walk to the beach in 12 minutes with 2 toddlers. We utilized the wagon, beach chairs, and beach toys available on the property.
We enjoyed the marsh view while sitting on the screened porch. The cherry on top of our stay was how comfortable the beds/bedding were. I would recommend this property 10/10.

Quiet location on the marsh. Nice screen porch and open deck for enjoying the marsh view. Owner is an excellent communicator and provides lots of extras like toiletries, laundry detergent, dish/dishwasher detergents, beach towels, beach equipment and a well stocked kitchen.

Our family had a wonderful experience at Wild Dunes. We visited for the first time and couldn’t have been happier with our rental choice. We spent most our spare time on the screened porch overlooking the gorgeous marsh. The sunsets were spectacular! We grilled out and did a seafood boil another night at home and had everything we needed, in the well equipped kitchen. You are to close to the beach, golf and restaurant’s in Wild Dunes. Wild Dunes also was a great location to explore neighboring areas, as well. We had dinner in Charleston and also Sullivan’s Island! The host is extremely easy to work with and helpful. Highly recommend this home. Note: we rented a golf cart and it was great to get around island.

Couldn't ask for a better house to spend a week in! 4 adults and a 5 month old baby and everything we could need was easily accessible. Definitely recommend renting a low speed vehicle to zip back and forth from the beach and around the neighborhood! We grilled out several nights and enjoyed the sunsets over the marsh. It's so peaceful. Janette was so quick to text me back with any questions. Couldn't recommend this home more!

From start to finish, our stay was relaxing and so fun! The owners have thought about absolutely everything, making our vacation very easy and low stress--not always the case with a toddler in tow!
We practically LIVED on the screen porch. You get a gorgeous breeze off the marsh, which seems like a small miracle in the heat of July. It is walkable to the beach, though we sometimes did a car dropoff closer to the beach access with all the gear and had the driver double back then join on our bike. Just depends on your crew.
Comfy beds, thoughtful additions like shampoo and extra blankets, plenty of games and books for rainy days... I can't recommend this place enough. Counting down until we get to return!

The house was absolutely gorgeous! It was located on a quiet street, tucked away on the marsh, which allowed for beautiful views. It was just a short walk to the beach. The house included everything you may need for your stay (pots, steamer, extra blankets, etc.)
The owners were VERY responsive the entire weekend and very accommodating. I even left a necklace and she offered to mail it to me immediately!
Overall, I highly recommend! I will definitely be back :)

Great spot in the dunes, within walking distance to most things there. We didn't have the best weather so we didn't get to explore the beach access in the dunes. Would have been nice to have been able to go to the pool but it is reserved for members only, like most things in the dunesand the parking situation by the market there could use some more signage or spots for non members who are not staying at the inn or resort. Golf and tennis is available to guests though but we had really bad luck with the weather. Still an overall great stay in an amazing place with easy access to great food and things to do in Charleston. Host was great with good communication and the process was easy. :)

We had a group of three girls. This house was so well stocked with everything you’d need in the kitchen, great beach chairs, a great screened porch with an awesome view of the marsh and the birds. The beds and linens were all really comfortable too! Janette was very responsive and great to work with!

This vrbo is gorgeous! Recently renovated with gorgeous floors and a spectacular marsh view. Janette thought of absolutely everything. She had beach towels, wagon, plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and an ice chest. All of which made packing for a beach trip so much easier.
The home was perfectly clean. My husband and I loved watching the sunset over the marsh. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

Excellent property with easy check in and out process. Located within the Wild Dunes neighborhood, this place is perfect if you want quiet and to get away. 3 large beds kept us comfortable, and a fantastic screened porch that we spent most of our time in. All you need to bring is clothes, food, and beverages.

This property was perfect for our family vacation. Isle of Palms was a great place to stay as we toured the Charleston area. We liked being very close to the beach, but actually staying right on the marsh. This home is in such a peaceful setting, and we loved the screened porch overlooking the marsh. Serenity is convenient to everything in the Charleston area. The house was beautifully decorated, well furnished, and everything was in good repair. Our group included three couples, so we loved that each bedroom had a comfortable, king-sized bed. our host, Jeanette, was gracious and easy to contact. We would highly recommend this property and would love to return someday.

Janette was a wonderful host. Her communication was excellent! Our check in and out was extremely smooth. The house has wonderful views from every room. The house was well stocked including the showers & laundry room. There was also a very nice selection of books. We had 3 couples and an infant and we had more than enough space. My wife and I spent an entire winter month (Feb) at Serenity on the Marsh and loved every minute. We had the company of marsh life every day - herons, hawks, eagles, and deer. Very quiet and away from the hurly burly of resort and beach activities, although we walked the beach every day (5 minutes away). Our host Janette could not have been more accommodating. All in all a wonderful experience.

We booked this property for its location to the Harbor Course and a short driver to Boone Hall Plantation for the Low Country Oyster Festival. This was the nicest, cleanest, most organized, and filled with the amenities that you would find at a hotel resort. The privacy off the back porch was send to none overlooking the marsh and the 18th tee box. There were even 2 bald Eagles that would hang out in the tree that was on the property. This place is a gem in Wild Dunes! We will be back year after year from now on, we found our spot...

While being in Dunes West, the view of the marsh and wildlife makes one feel as if you are in a much less populated area. We spent the weekend on the porch enjoying the quiet and the birds. Beautiful home! We will be back!

Can't say enough about the host - very responsive and clearly is making an effort to provide a welcoming vacation property. However, what sets this place apart outside of its refreshed interior is clearly the end of street - unobstructed 180 degree tidal marsh views!
If classic low country tidal views are you priority within a amenities filled community - than this is defiantly one to consider!

My family of 5 stayed here for three nights right after hurricane Ian and had the most wonderful time! We didn't bring our beach things because we were certain the weather wouldn't be nice enough. Turns out we were wrong and we had amazing weather. Thankfully our host had the house equipped with everything we needed from chairs and umbrellas to toys and beach towels. We ended up having two really great days at the beach!
The location of this house is great too! It's quietly tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac with the most gorgeous views of the marsh. It is only a short and very pleasant walk to the beach. My 7 year old had no problems with it at all. Especially since along the walk there is a cute little swing the kids can stop by at and play on. It's also the perfect length of time to eat ice cream if you decide to stop by Hudson's Cafe on the way back and grab some.
In the evenings we played board games on the back porch and enjoyed the sunset over the marsh. A truly magical time! I spent each morning here as well watching the birds. In short the house was everything we could ask for and the owner was amazing to work with. We cannot wait to come back!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

As the name says, this is complete serenity. We absolutely loved our stay. The house was cozy and so tastefully decorated - a coastal, spa-like vibe. It was pristine, not a single detail was overlooked from the turned down sheets to the starter packs of coffee. The kitchen and bathroom were spotless, the furniture was contemporary and very comfortable. The bed linens and towels were soft and luxurious. We also appreciated the Turkish cotton beach towels and the beach cart and variety of sand pails and shovels for the kids. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. But the best part was the screened porch, which did not disappoint. The furniture was as fresh and inviting as in the picture. We had many early morning coffees watching the egrets and the boats in the distance and also enjoyed the night sounds on the marsh. This property far exceeded our expectations and we’re looking forward to our next trip!

This is an absolutely beautiful home! Decorated in such a warm, comfortable design and attention to every last detail. The bedding and towels are plush and there are so many little touches that made our stay even more wonderful. The sunset views are breath taking...we even changed our plans to take advantage of relaxing on the back porch. The owner was so easy to communicate with and accommodating. We will definitely return!

The views of the marsh were breathtaking, and we enjoyed spending many hours on the screened in porch. The location was very convenient for the beach as well as traveling into Charleston for some site-seeing.
