LOCATION!!! Downtown Lexington walk everywhere! Safe neighborhood. Big house!
About this farm stay rental
Located in Lexington, this charming farm stay for $215 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The original family home of David Sayre, built in 1850, this charming 3 BR, 2 full bath and 2 half bath house is in the heart of downtown. Walk to Rupp Arena, fabulous restaurants, parks, Uk, etc. A very short 10 min drive to Keeneland or the Bluegrass Airport. This house oozes charm and history. All original wood floors, fully furnished and owned by a pet friendly family. To be able to walk to such cool places and a myriad of fun spots in a horse racing decorated house is pure Lexington! There are three good size bedrooms, all on the second floor of the house . The loft bedroom has a queen bed and its own full bathroom. The other two bedrooms share a full bath in the hallway. The 2nd bedroom has two full beds in it and the 3rd bedroom has two full beds. This is a very large house, I have been told by many of the guests that the photos do not do it justice to convey the size. There are two separate large living rooms, a full size 6 top dining room table, smart TV etc. The washer and dryer are on site and in the basement. There is a half bath off the kitchen and another half bath on the makn floor. This house literally could not be better located in Lexington. There is a Target a half a block away and a lovely coffee shop right next door in what was Lexington's original first schoolhouse. The street and area is safe and probably 15 restaurants within a 10 minute walk. It has two privately driveways in the back of the house that offer spacious free parking. 10 min walk to Rupp Arena , Lex Live, the Convention Center. etc. We are complete animal lovers so this is a pet friendly property with a $50 pet fee. Guest access The entire house can be accessed by guest, there are two separate entrances in the front and back . The Washer and Dryer are located in the basement of the house that is 170+ years old so the steps may be a bit steep for some down to them. There is also a separate upstairs balcony with seating along with lower balcony and large backyard.

The house was in a perfect location for us as our daughter could easily walk from campus and we could easily walk to anywhere we needed. The house had everything we needed and more. It was our first time staying in a historic home and we loved it. The house is larger than expected, and very cozy. The host was very responsive and made us feel welcome. We would 100% stay here again.

We had a great stay. The house was spacious! Lots of room for the family. The owner was quick to address any issue. The home was beautiful. The stained glass window was a great touch. The old newspapers in one of the rooms added to the historical experience. We all really enjoyed it! The location near the Rupp arena was close enough to walk!

House was very near to everything we came to Lexington to do. We walked to most everything we did. House was unique and homey. We couldn’t have asked for a better fit for us and our pup. He loved it too!

Really enjoyed my stay at this property. Great location - close to campus and downtown. Numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance. Perfect on a football and/or basketball weekend but also good for other occasions. Generous off street parking available. Backyard and house are good for tailgating or just visiting with friends and/or family. Two full baths plus two half baths means no one needs to wait for a bathroom. House has loads of character. Great hospitality and a good value.

My recent stay at this VRBO property in Lexington was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, I knew I had made the right choice. This property is a true gem and exceeded all my expectations.
First and foremost, the location of this property is unbeatable. Situated in the heart of Lexington, it offers convenient access to all the attractions and landmarks that make this city so special. Whether you're interested in exploring the historical sites, enjoying the vibrant nightlife, or indulging in the local cuisine, everything is just a stone's throw away.
The property itself is simply stunning. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a beautifully decorated and well-maintained space. The attention to detail and the thoughtful touches throughout the property truly made it feel like a home away from home. The spacious living area provided the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring, while the fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meals whenever we desired.
One of the highlights of this property is undoubtedly the breathtaking view. With large windows that let in an abundance of natural light, I was treated to panoramic views of the cityscape that left me in awe. It was the perfect backdrop for enjoying my morning coffee or simply taking a moment to soak in the beauty of Lexington.
Will definitely return! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My adult son and I enjoyed staying here. The house was larger than I thought it would be. It is an old house, which added to the charm. There's an empty parking lot right next to the house, which did not add to the charm, but it's an urban location, so it happens. It was conveniently located and walkable to UK, Target, restaurants, and the loveliest coffee shop. The owner was responsive to communicate when I let her know that sheets were not put on the bed in the room that I stayed in and that some of the silverware was not cleaned well from previous guests (no dishwasher).

Had a great time! The house was near everywhere we needed to go and had room enough to park 4 cars if we had had that many! Could walk across the street to Joe Bs for great pizza! Great Lexington location!

Although the layout of the house is a bit strange, it worked beautifully for grandparents in the back end and children and grandchildren in the front. Convenient location for us with other family members living close by. Carrie was great to work with.

This home is conveniently located walking distance to all hotels and restaurants downtown. We were attending a meeting at the Hilton and it was a quick and easy walk. The house has great energy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Being pet friendly was a huge plus. Carrie was a wonderful hostess and helpful from the start to the finish of our stay. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back to Lexington.
Thank you Carrie for sharing your home!

This is a wonderful house. It is spacious but provides privacy for everyone. Loved the decor of the Kentucky Derby. Just a very nice place to stay.

We had the most wonderful time! The house is immaculate and comfortable, with enough space to meet everyone's needs. The neighborhood is fun and convenient to many activities. There is even a Target nearby for light shopping. I couldn't think of anywhere nicer to stay!

Close to everything we wanted to do. A few sirens during the night, but to be expected.

Stayed here with my kids and pets for state Beta convention. Beautiful and super clean home! Communication with host was excellent! 15 min walk to Rupp Arena. Felt safe even when walking by myself. Quiet neighborhood. We live at the end of a dead end country road so my dogs are used to quite. They weren’t disturbed at all in this downtown Lexington neighborhood. Wonderful little coffee shop across the street. Would love to stay here again.

We enjoyed this house for our stay at Lexington. Our agenda included both Keeneland and the UK campus and we were very close to both! There is ample room in the house to relax between activities and the rooms were comfy.

Before we even left I had to change dates and they were so helpful. They also let us get in a day early on same day notice. The house is in walking distance to coffee and dinner. Driving distance to distillery district and UK. We would stay again. Very cool old house.

Historic South Hill
This place was nice. The layout of the home is a bit confusing at first as it has 4 entry doors. Once inside it is beautifully decorated. The location has its good parts and bad. Very convenient to the local restaurants and shopping, however it is just down the street from the hospital so you hear quiet a few sirens. The host was Awesome! She made us feel at home and didn’t hesitate to offer anything we needed. Overall we had a Great time!
