We were a little worried about staying on I-20, but this was off the highway, at the end of a dead end street that is separated from the highway a good bit. This made us feel safer. Great breakfasts. Super friendly staff. Great location.

They were almost out of breakfast food. Barely had anything 45 mins before it closed. Cinnamon rolls were frozen. No regular coffee and the decaffeinated coffee was cold.

Room appeared to be remodeled recently and stylish, roomy and has many electric outlets. Amenities are kind of skimpy side. Location is in the middle of nowhere, and dining options are limited unless you drive. Staff is friendly.

I was concerned out the environment surrounding the hotel. More outside lights would help. No soap on the bathroom counter. There was a dispenser in the shower but a hassle to reach into the shower to wash your hands. Breakfast was poor. Went to McD. Not a good showing for an upper end hotel I a small town. Stay somewhere less expensive.

Although this hotel is off of the highway it is in front of a wooded area and there are a lot of homeless people that hang out in the area. It is also inconvenient because of the construction and narrow roads right on the exit of the hotel not to mention how busy the intersections is in the area as well. Other than that the hotel is nice, clean and the breakfast was great!

Excellent hotel, great breakfast, comfy rooms and beds, great employees! We will stay again if the area. Some construction work made getting to the restaurant and back a little longer than normal but overall this was the best stay of our trip!!

The room was nice. The seal around the door was horrible, I had to put a towel on the bottom of the door and lots of light still came through the sides. It made the room very bright from the hall lights and didn’t block out people talking and walking in the hall.

The location is dark & desolate right next to a truck stop; I wouldn’t recommend for females traveling alone. The staff was friendly & the room was clean; however the walls were paper thin & we had very noisy occupants screaming & yelling at all hours. There were also no wash clothes provided. Breakfast was standard.

theres a lot of construction going on in marshall - not holiday inn's fault - it was a little tricky getting there but - this place was pristine and not just the front as w/ some hotels. big props to holiday inn express

This location was probably the creepiest I have ever stayed in due to the location. My daughter and I did not feel safe from the time we got there until the time we left. We felt unsafe enough that we did not go back out for dinner and put chairs in front of the doors. I realize you can’t pick up and move but maybe provide better licks on doors and snack machine and maybe more outdoor lighting

This hotel is apparently recently-built and very clean. The rooms are spacious. Beds are comfy. The breakfast is excellent, with several choices and those yummy cinnamon rolls. We enjoyed everything about it. The only problem I had was that when I called over a week in advance of our arrival to ask if my party of four could be in adjoining rooms, I was told that there ARE no adjoining rooms in the hotel. Then when we arrived, we found that one of the rooms DID have an adjoining room. Unfortunately, it was already occupied. The hotel is located on the unfinished service road of a highway, so it's a little difficult to find due to the construction that's underway. Hopefully that will won't be a problem for much longer.

Booked a king room and then when I check in they told me they was out even tho I paid and booked it in line and I have to stay in a Queen room with 2 beds when I paid to have a king

Those are not queen size beds. There is a popping noise coming from inside the wall that started about 7am. The time someone in another room is showering. Thinks it is a pipe. Very annoying.

This hotel is a 2.5 to 3.0 star hotel. The room was comfortable. The water pressure in the sink and shower was disappointing. All hotels should invest in toilets with a superb flushing mechanism to eliminate any doubt of disposal upon a single flush. The A/C was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. I was surprised by the lack of a stand alone closet. The elevator needs a serious upgrade. It actually stopped operating while I was on it causing me to call the front desk on my mobile phone. The breakfast was disappointing, though the coffee was good. The staff were friendly and engaging, except for one female clerk working the desk in the late night hours.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Marshall as we were moving our daughter for college. The hotel was clean and the front desk was polite and made check-in easy. For whatever reason, the elevator and hall on the 3rd floor were warm and humid, but the rooms were nice and cool. We only had one issue of the sink not draining. The plug came of the lever and we were unable to drain the sink. We called the front desk to inform them and they offered us another room. We told them it wasn't necessary but we just wanted to make them aware. Breakfast was great and had a hearty selection. Overall, our stay in Marshall was a great one.

We found the shower soap, shampoo and conditioner to have been diluted with water. The worst part was the lackadaisical and dismissive response from the front desk person when we informed them at our check out. The lady responded as the information was not a surprise to her. Is this the way the hotel has chosen to reduce expenses? Totally unacceptable.

When checking in, THe customer service was good! We tried a new hotel due to the low-fare rates and was unsure once we got there. But to my surprise, the hotel is amazing! Dede in the kitxhen in the morning had a smile and willingness to do whatever. I loved her hard work to make the eatinig experience a great one. The food is amazing!!!! Hot and fresh due to Dede's work. The customer service from the hose keeping time is above and beyond. I loved that the said Good Morning and can I assist you with anything! 5 stars from our family. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel, is that the water was somewhat cold than what I'm used to and we had an issues with closing the shower door.

Initially placed in a dirty/used room. Given a new room which didn’t have a King bed as we had reserved. The smell of the room was atrocious, thankfully I had febreeze in my bag. Stains on the comforter, door didn’t shut properly, AC controls broken. Then no coffee or juices at breakfast. Ridiculous to pay good money for a crappy stay.
