It looks like they’re in the process of updating the hotel, but the hotel was quiet clean and comfortable, which is all that matters. It was also less than a minute from the highway.

Stayed at property a week prior and elevator area had still not been cleaned of dirt and popcorn . The room was quiet and adequate, but bathroom floor had hair here and there.

Location near highway was convenient. Insufficient signage on access road to mark turn in; we had to circle back to find the way in. Room was clean and well appointed. Receptionist was pleasant enough but placed us very near elevators without asking if we would prefer a quieter location. The beds are ridiculously high; we had great difficulty just getting up onto the beds. Serving breakfast at 7:00 AM is too late for business travelers; we need to eat at 6:00 or 6:30 at the latest to get to our day on time.

Water is so soft and pressure so low you feel dirtier when you get out of the shower than when you got in. Breakfast buffet is AMAZING though!

Overall the stay was good. One reason I can't say great is because it is under going remodeling which is a good thing. Our rooms didn't seem to be updated yet. We had one suite and one standard room. We stayed for 4 nights and the beds were never made up in the room with the suites. I wasn't staying in that room. I wasn't told from the family members that were staying in that room that the beds were not being made up daily until the last night. I did not address it with the hotel. I am sure they would have rectified the issue had they been told. The employees that I had interaction with were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again when visiting family in Springfield.

Arrived at 7pm to check in and couldn’t. There was no power - it was not restored until 9:30. I had to sit in car for light, a/c, and to charge phone. Additionally, I was marked as a no show because the hotel had no power when I showed up. Lastly, the stay was not discounted for this inconvenience.

The pool is closed the gym is closed and the key cards did not work. The keycards not working happened that day so nothing they could have done. The pool and gym and the fact the are remodeling should have been posted on the website. I would have book another hotel if we had know in advance. The room rate is not discounted based on the information above. Every time we left the room someone from the front desk has to walk us up to the room. When you enter the hotel the front desk person was outside the majority of the time and you had to wait for someone to come to the front desk.

The cleanliness and size of my room and bathroom were exceptional! Will absolutely recommend and stay again if in the area. Breakfast was also well cooked and offered a large selection.

The bathroom sink would drain real slow when used. House keeping was gone early so if you need anything like towels or trash empty need to get it done in morning. Otherwise you have to do it yourself. Breakfast in the morning was good. People at front desk were nice.

The hotel is undergoing renovation so some disappointment could be anticipated. A major disappointment was how staff responded to a fire alarm. There was no visible organization so customers had to try to figure out on their own whether or not evacuation was necessary. Thankfully, the alarm was false, but I will not likely stay in this property again when I return to Springfield for future family events.

Nice suite as advertised and exactly as pictured on the site. Beds were good, breakfast was good, nice and clean. The only negative was the lady at the front desk was by herself and getting frustrated because it was so busy.

The Holiday Inn Express provided great accommodations and ready access for what we wanted -- close to Cedarville University. The pool was not open, but as non-Ohioans, it seemed to be an issue of leftover COVID response.

Very nice and comfortable stay. We ALWAYS check and wipe down entire room, that's when we found a finger or toe nail by bed, but besides that our room was lovely. I was grateful for the liquid Dove bath soap dispenser in bathroom, we forgot ours. The breakfast was great, halls were nice and clean and the wall weren't paper thin. The toilet is very very low to ground for 6'+ people that's a long way down lol. Will we come again? Yes indeed.

Pros: Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Cons: Could hear traffic noise and noise from the parking lot. Elevator and halls weren’t the cleanest. Breakfast food was terrible. We went off site for breakfast.
