well the staff was not rude but not very friendly either it was like they were doing you a favor to help you there was a tree blocking the walkway when we got there on a Tues and was still blocking it when we left on Sunday
the AC in room was barely functioning the pool was closed in May (Louisiana)
i’d give the place a 5 but when i stayed here 2 years ago i wud give it a 8 then its really gone down quick and for the price you’d think it was a 10* hotel i wont pay that price again at this hotel they jack up the prices when a travel ball tourney is in town

Stayed here for a softball tournament. Everything was good. Bathroom had some paint missing and hot water took awhile to heat up. Other than that it was perfectly fine.

Our toilet seat had urine on the seat and the hot water didn’t work. We switched rooms, upon arriving to the new room it smelled like it had been cleaned very well. When we went in the bathroom the previous guest dirty shirt was hanging on the door, so now I’m questioning if the room was actually cleaned or just deodorized.

Overall my stay was ok however, I made ran adjustment from king room to a double. But the change was not input and the hotel was completely booked so no other room was available. The staff was very accommodating but I suggest at least providing a roll a way bed for rent to help out with things beyond the customers control especially when I called early enough and prior to my arrival date. Ended up spending money I did not have to spare.

My experience at the Best Western in Ruston, La was fair. No hot water for a shower, bathroom door didn't lock. I experience housekeeping with her two small children with her as she attempted to work. (As a mother of three, I truly understand the struggle of having to work and care for small children, but come on how great of a job (cleaning the rooms) can you do with her kids with you on the floors.
On the day of check out housekeeping banged on my room door as if their were the police. Traveling by myself for the first time since the loss of my husband I was terrified by the commotion. They proceeded to come into the room without notice, I was in the shower at the time. This cause additional anxiety to my already anxious emotional state of mind. The behavior/service of housekeeping/hotel staff confirms I would never stay at this establishment again, and I don't recommend any elso to stay here.

The rooms/linens were not properly cleaned. The rooms were outdated, no option for a smart tv, just cable. Breakfast was lackluster.

The room was large and the bed comfy, even though the elastic on bottom sheet was too worn to keep the sheet on the bed. Tears in the shower curtain. And the front desk staff was not the friendliest we have encountered. They were more focused on enjoying each other’s company. The cleaning staff, however, were kind and attentive. The breakfast was short on choices but hot and well cooked. We had stayed here a year or so ago, and it was much better then. If the management doesn’t step up soon, it will be on its way to being rundown.

The desk clerk was polite and professional. Check in was quick. The room was very clean and comfortable. I had a good nights sleep.

The staff was great as was the breakfast, however my bathroom was dirty and not properly cleaned. There was a dried out stiff wash cloth handing from the shower curtain rod and hair in the tub! It also smelled like that mildewy sour rancid smell, possibly from the shower curtain itself. Also the bed wasn't comfortable and quite hard. The manager needs to check the housekeepers to make sure they are thoroughly cleaning the rooms.

The hotel seems to have undergone a recent renovation so it’s nice and clean but what stood out the most was the super friendly staff at check in!

Towels were in terrible shape....thin and very small. And we had to use the same towels the next day as they said there were no more clean towels downstairs.

This is a fairly new hotel. Although not filthy not what I would consider clean, the room I am in anyway. The entrance of the hotel is clean but the rooms need to be deep cleaned. Lots of stains on the walls, bathroom tub and toilet were stained. Thankfully I travel with cleaning supplies. I got in late so made sure to put my dnd sign on door. They still knocked on the door before 10.
The check in agent was friendly and got me checked in swiftly. I was tired and a bit grumpy. His bubbly personality was infectious and snapped me right out of that. He deserves a raise.

AC not working properly. Bags of trash and laundry from the days cleaning were still in the hallway in the evening, only some toiletries provided, others were missing. The soap had already been opened. NO COFFEE IN THE ROOM.

Usually a very good hotel I stay at when visiting family 3-4 times a year. This visit the hotel room was dirty, chair was broken pushed in a corner and the big lamp didn’t work and the desk lamp had a shortage

Stayed here before and the hotel itself is great. Location is fantastic, hotel is newer, facility is nice, it’s just the cleanliness of the rooms that is not up to par. I’ve left the same review before and it hasn’t changed anything. If they would clean the rooms well this could easily be one of the nicest places to stay in Ruston for the price. The rooms are just not cleaned well. Sticky residue on the end table, used knife from previous guest left by microwave, candy left on floor by couch, makeup under bathroom counter, there was a throw pillow from the bed on the floor. The mattress pad on the bed was wrinkled up underneath the sheets. I pray i slept on clean sheets. This isn’t just over looked stuff. They really need to hire extra cleaning people so that they can do a more thorough job.
