Funky old hotel nicely renovated. Top floor might have views of the ocean, but we're on the ground floor with a view of a construction site. Audible traffic sounds. But the staff is excellent, and there are numerous high-end coffee machines to start the morning with. Our space is clean and spacious enough. It's lovely, if a bit quirky like many old but renovated California hotels.

We were placed in room 100 where no one should stay. There are four windows on the street side so the noise level is all night long. They do provide earplugs, but that assumes earplugs work for you… As they do not work for everyone. Specifically asked if the room was loud And Jack, the service person told us we would be fine. He was not on this my estimation.

The hotel is extremely old, poorly designed, poorly maintained, everything is uncomfortable. Everything feels like the least amount of attention and effort is put into it. Cant believe it has 5 star reviews… makes me think they are fake. Breakfast is a piece of fruit and a pastry… pathetic… On top of it, we paid for an upgrade and there was construction going on all work hours. I work home so I couldn’t even use the room to work because all the noise. Management ddnt care.

I booked this hotel based on reviews, which is why I feel I need to review here, even though I don’t like giving negative reviews. The hotel is extremely run down, and the bathroom was not clean. The mattress was comfortable but the bedding was inadequate . I was cold all night and slept terribly. We were glad for the view of the ocean, but the view is the only thing our room had going for it.

We had an issue with the TV and called the front desk. They immediately sent staff over and determined a new TV was needed. He came back in less than 5 mins with a new TV. Everyone was great! Restaurant right across the street (Mozambique) was amazing too.

This hotel is boutique in feel and charm, with oceanfront views and close proximity to restaurants and nightlife. It’s especially nice when you can get one of the rooms for under $200 a night like I did. There is some road noise due to its location, but the flip side is being so close to the beach you can leave the slider open and fall asleep to the sound of waves in stereo-like quality. I would stay at Seaside Laguna Inn again.

This boutique property was charming, clean, cozy, comfortable and offered great value for its price point. The proximity to an epic view was an added feature. The staff are strict about noise and are very conscientious about all customers adhering to their policy. The staff are also attentive, friendly and do what needs to be done to make your stay is as enjoyable as possible. I will definitely stay again.

Such nice and helpful staff. The hotel is such a quaint little hotel with so much charm. Young man at night carried our bags upstairs for my husband and young girl at the desk suggested so many fun things to do. I would definitely go there again and so reasonably priced!

The location is the best, not right down town but easy 5 minuets. Great room, 1 block to very safe modern steps to the beach. Got up graded without asking. WOW, that does not happen ever. Thanks to the staff. One suggestion, we were in the large two room suit maybe add a second small TV in the kitchen area so I could have watch the news as the wife slept. Other than that, perfect.

Booked a last minute stay with our two year old for a quick getaway. Staff was very helpful answering questions ahead of time. The room itself was clean and there were a lot of cute little accents and thought put into the amenities. We weren’t able to walk down to the beach from the street because of the tide, but it was accessible just a couple blocks down. Our daughter enjoyed a little hot chocolate treat in the lobby, which was nicely decorated. Will definitely come again.

We had a great stay at Seaside. We loved the ocean view. The room was cozy and clean. 2 things I would critique. The shelf in the closet was very dusty. 1 light shade was real dysfunctional. Neither was a big deal. Service was great but every staff member. Loved the service, the snacks and comfort of the lounge. It’s our 2nd stay and we’ll be back.

I visited this property because I wanted to "celebrate" what would have been my 22nd wedding anniversary. My husband passed away last year and we loved the beach. I traveled from MD on the East coast and chose Seaside Laguna Inn because of it's location right off the beach and because of the quaintness of the property. I did not realize until I got there that there was not a restaurant on the property. The person who checked me in (I can't remember her name was very friendly but wasn't extremely knowledgeable about where I should go for my special dinner. I did indeed tell each staff membter (3 in total) that I encountered when I walked down to the front desk, that I was there for an anniversary weekend, ALONE. I guess for as much as it cost, I did expect a little higher level of service. I was kind of hoping to maybe get a surprise note/flower/champagne, at my door acknowleding what I did indeed share. Especially since I was alone and made it clear I was not familiar with the area at all. I did walk to the Splashes restaurant, and that was a very pretty place but way overpriced. Again, the staff were all friendly but I do think the extra steps would have made this a remarkable trip. The ocean really did most of that on it's on. It is a very nice location and very lovely. Thank you

Not sure how this property got a good rating. I can show you pics. Not “ seaside”. A person parks right outside our bathroom window. Beyond that is an ugly home frame either being built or torn down. A tiny distant view of water. Only 2-40 watt bulbs in the room and no privacy to open front or back curtains. Has anyone from Expedia actually been at this property? Very disappointed

The property photos on line look better than the actual room. The rooms had a cheap update. Rooms are dated. I dont feel for the price of 483.00 its a value.

What a great place to stay! We had a wonderful time relaxing by the ocean. Steps from the beach, this is a perfect getaway spot. Staff were super sweet and amenities made you feel welcomed. Would come back again!
