The hotel has a beautiful green garden, with even flamingos strolling through in the early hours. It truly was a sight to behold and created a serene atmosphere that provided a much-needed escape from the bustling city nearby. Paradise vibes could also be felt at the hotel's pool.
The breakfast served in the garden was the best breakfast we had during our entire trip in Egypt. A wide variety of options, including lots of fresh fruits and a chef who prepared delicious pancakes and omelets.
The staff members were friendly and attentive. When we encountered a disturbance from the neighboring room in the middle of the night, the staff resolved the issue immediately.
The absence of air conditioning in the room was a considerable disappointment. Although some ventilation was present, it did little to combat the extreme heat. This lack of cold air significantly impacted our ability to relax, especially during the sweltering nights.

Beautiful gardens to walk around in. Handy location. Rooms were lovely. Staff who cleaned rooms were very friendly and helpful.
The property advertised that they had tea and coffee in rooms but when we got there none of our rooms had them. Had to contact reception multiple times to get a kettle. Got kettle but no coffee. No iron either in room, didn’t bother to call them because I was frustrated already. Missed the basics.

Emplacement

I enjoyed the beauty of this property, with the gardens and pool being wonderful. It’s location is great being so close to the Nile and the temples in Luxor.
This hotel was a bit worn down. The shower was a particularly backwards design and some furniture and carpets were clearly old and unloved. I think having been able to walk around the Winter Palace itself puts the Pavillon at difficult odds as this hotel was certainly good and the experience worth it, however it falls short visually.

Clean and very spacious rooms. Beautiful pool area. I was in Luxor to rest and visit friends and requested a quiet room in advance, with no families or children above or next to my room and that is exactly what they provided. Because of this excellent service and attention I will return to the Pavillon.
Room service staff was always excellent but the late night food was mediocre.

it was so idyllic to be next to a beautiful garden.
so nice to rest by the pool on such nice lounge chairs and have refreshing drinks there.
loved the view from our room and relaxing on the balcony on such a comfy sofa.
rooms were spacious and bathroom was wonderful. It was the best hotel I have ever stayed at! I will always treasure my memories there!

The location, yet it wasn't on the Nile
This is possibly the worst hotel I have stayed in across 75 countries and lots of travel. So disappointing on every level.
The service - this was poor in every aspect from arrival, around the property and through to departure. The manager was particularly rude.
The pool area - this requires maintenance. The tiles were cracked and broken inside and outside the pool. Very under loved. Also not child friendly at all, if you have young children it isn't a place they can comfortably enjoy.
The food - half board is a formal meal with two choices. The food is trying to be fine dining but fails and is slick with oil. The room service options and pool side terrace food is uninspiring and tasteless.
The rooms - are unclean and require updating.
The whole hotel requires an upgrade and is not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination.

The room, facilities, breakfast, view all of it was very good. Even the Flamingos wandering the gardens in the morning. It was a haven from the outside sellers

After traveling in Egypt for several weeks, it was nice to have a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. And after a day of sightseeing, relaxing by the pool was a welcome relief. We ordered food from the pool restaurant several times and we felt it was priced reasonably for the hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spotless. Breakfast was also outstanding with a lot of variety.

The staff was pleasant but Michael the pool manager was a standout. He not only exceeded our needs but he also was a trusted resource. He did not make commission on his recommendations so his suggestions were honest. And when we took his advise we were well pleased. He was a real gentleman. The gardens at the hotel were like walking through a botanical garden. Stunning! The room was clean and spacious and the housekeeping staff made us adorable towel animals every night. The pool was a great way to cool off after a long hot morning. I would definitely stay again.

The gardens and the swimming pool is amazing in a hot summer day.
Bed linen and the room itself smells old. Everything is outdated, carpets are everywhere. Once you leave the hotel, people on the street come after you offering a horse ride, taxi, felucca. This is so overwhelming and annoying.

The hotel grounds were beautiful and the staff were lovely. We had an early morning flight into Luxor and we were able to check into our room early which was great. The view from our balcony onto the garden was beautiful and the room was nice overall.
The strip in front of the hotel is surrounded by taxi drivers/horse and carriages who are constantly harassing tourists from the hotel and the surrounding area. They will not leave you alone even when you insist you do not need a taxi/horse and are sometimes quite aggressive with their approach. They will inflate prices like crazy- bear in mind the airport is a 10 minute car journey max and they will insist it is 25 minutes away and try to agree a price 10X what it should be. We were told that locals pay around £50-75EGY fyi for the 10 minute journey to the airport whereas they quote upto £300EGY. We agreed £100 EGY to the airport which is still higher than it should be. Karnak temple is also around a 10 min drive max.
You will also find people attempting to offer you drivers for day trips to the Valley of the Kings up to £900 EGY. We queried the best way to get there and around with a member of the hotel who advised that it is cheaper to take a ferry from directly opposite the hotel which is around £5EGY pp and then get a taxi/driver from the West Bank once there. Once at the West Bank we were approached by a very persistent and aggressive tout who was insisting we pay him £900EGY to be our driver for the day despite us just arriving and telling him we wanted to look around. We ended up finding another driver who agreed £300EGY for the day trip.

It had an old world charm but was clean and modern in the new wing. The rooms had a balcony with a beautiful view over the garden. It was located within a few minutes walk of Luxor Temple and the markets and close to the River. The Mummification Museum and Luxor Museum were in reasonable walking distance or a short taxi ride away.
The evening grill buffet was expensive. we didn’t try the other restaurants in the older building. Room service was good value.

Amenities (breakfast, pool, garden) excellent
Room and entrance of the hotel as well as guests areas not as expected: pictures displayed on Booking.com refer to Winter Palace Hotel and not to Pavillon Winter Palace: it is not clearly described that are two different hotels

The gardens are exceptional. Room was very big and the beds at the pool were super comfortable (perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Luxor)! The hotel is a bit further away from the street so no noise. Breakfast was also very good.

Location and facilities are good. Entering the hotel is like an oasis away from the vendors harassing you on the street. The staff was very nice and helpful. Walking distance to Souq and restaurants.
The AC was old and did not work very well in the room.
