Reserved a SMOKING room. All rooms at hotel are NON-SMOKING

Staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. The room was your typical budget rate hotel room. The beds were clean but the mattress was very hard. Bathroom floor had remnants of cockroaches. The tv was a fuzzy mess.

I had nothing but issues from The second I got there. The very first thing was they gave me a key to check into my room but my room had not even been cleaned. My son and I sat outside for 25 minutes with all of our luggage waiting for our room to be clean. The Wi-Fi scream cannot be seen because there is white lettering on a white background so we could not log into Wi-Fi. There was no hot water. We also had no TV and the remote did not work. We went to breakfast at about 6:15. Breakfast was supposed to start at six but the person in front of me was already asking about breakfast and the front desk was giving attitude about it so we had no breakfast.

Walked in to the lobby to check in and there was a man half passed out and he wouldn't leave. Got to my room and it hadn't even been cleaned. Ended up leaving and trying to call the hotel to let them know I wouldn't stay there and their phone number didn't work. I didn't feel comfortable walking back in to the lobby with the male in and out of it.

We booked online for a double room as we had 4 people. Once we arrived for check in, front desk said there were no clean rooms (this was at 6pm). Blamed rooms on no housekeeping.
After some time, the only option was a king bed. This was the only option or we had no place to stay that night. Room was dingy. You could see the light through the bottom and side as it did not close well.
Only positive was that it was walking distance to the civic center.

ROOM WAS OLD AND NOT CLEAN ENOUGH

Could have been cleaner- looks like housekeeping doesn’t do full thorough cleaning of spaces unless it’s apparent the rooms are dirty

I chose this hotel for its location. I came to Mobile on a work trip for a conference, and needed to stay within walking distance to the convention center. This hotel was extremely overpriced considering the state of the room/property. I arrived early and was excited when my room was ready earlier than expected, but when I got to my room it looked as though the only thing that was cleaned was the bed, and even that was only half made. The floor was grimy, dust covered nearly every surface, the shower had clearly been used that morning, and the soap in the bathroom was open with a used towel on the counter with the wrapper of the soap. Not to mention the large gap under the door into the room, which lead to the outside, and the dead cockroach on the floor near the bed. I wasn't expecting much, just a clean place to sleep, but I didn't even get that. The elevator also smelt disgusting, so I ended up taking the stares to my 6th floor room, which is exhausting after a long day at a conference. I found out when I checked in that I had mistakenly only booked two nights when I needed four. Thankfully, the conference was ending the day I was scheduled to check out so I booked another hotel further from the convention center (since I wouldn't need to be there anymore) and left after the two nights, rather than extending my stay.

Room was mostly fine, but
- rather worn, which made it seem less clean
- I had to plunge the sink myself. Wow, we were in an historic district, all right.
- stairways and elevators need cleaning

Room smelled bad. Exterior of hotel looked run down. Elevator a bit scarey. Young staff very friendly and doing their best. Location was good. Glad we only had one night. Cost too high for poor quality, just the basics room.

Payed for a non smoke room. The room smelled like smoke my whole stay on top of mold the smell was breathtaking. The room was dirty. The floor was so dirty that my children feet were black from walking on the floor. The bathroom had a weird smell and there was toenails in several corners. Will never stay here or recommend this place to anyone.

The personnel were awesome.
The facility was classic New Orleans style.
We found some problems that we discussed with management & they assured us the maintenance personnel would get right on it..
Beds were comfortable & parking was exceptional.

This was the worst place ever.Dirty and a little while into being there we discovered bed bugs. Packed up and went to the Holiday inn which seemed like a holiday after leaving the no quality Quality inn.

1st room wasnt ready, they moved us to another. Pulled back the quilt, had to shake off the sheet. Old soap was still in soapdish in shower. Overflow cover was in floor of shower. Ill never stay here again! Ill never claim to be a clean freak, but for 140.00 a nite, this is a ripoff

Customer service is terrible.

Floors were dirty. Place needs to be brought up to date about 30 years newer and updated. Trash around/or in elevator. Understand it is Mardi Gras and the conditions that come with it on the property, but the inside of the rooms shouldn’t be no expectations.

Hotel not clean
Locked out of room for entire night with no access to my personal belongings
Won’t choose this location in future visits

This is an older hotel, but in my opinion still very clean, just not as updated as a newer hotel. But that doesn't bother me. The gentleman at the front desk was top notch. I could have sat in the lobby and talked to him all night long. Made sure we were happy and taken care of. I can't remember his name, but very outgoing/happy personality. He went above and beyond. Also very close proximity to the cruise terminal, and 5 dollar golf cart rides to transport you over!

A lot of all night traffic around the walkways and in the parking lot.

I was driving through the state and got caught in a storm. This was all I could find. The curtains had blood on them, floors had hair and dirt in the bathroom. The shower was disgusting. The office staff was great, but overall cleanliness was lacking.

The guy at the front desk was the only positive thing about this stay. The bed was covered in hair and dirt, there were no towels except for a used hand towel hanging in the shower, the entire place REEKED of mildew, there was blood on the side of the bed, the bedside tables were nasty, the tub wouldn’t drain properly, and the entire place fogged up when the shower was used because of the lack of proper heating and air (there is a wall unit that seemingly did nothing.) This place is pretty disgusting, not at all worth $100 a night. I wouldn’t pay $20 a night for this place, they’d have to pay ME to get me to stay here again. Great staff but I feel sorry they have to work at such a run down place.

it was horrible , card reader never worked had to re active card every time i tried to get it . dirty room . non working lights , smelt bad

The only positive thing I can say is this place doesn’t have bedbugs and it had hot water for the shower. This hotel is in dire need of a remodel and it’s utterly disgusting. Sticky floors. Floors need ripped up and redone. If you have asthma it will wreck havoc with your breathing. Smells horrid. Staff are very kind and friendly. Housekeeping will not make your bed for the day. You also get clean towels every three days of your stay.

Everything was just horrible

Hairs in sink. Someone's old underwear on the counter. I am 6' tall and still had to pull up a chair to set the air conditioner since it is way up high. Wifi login screen didn't work. This is an AWFUL hotel!

The room smell really bad , the lights do not work and air conditioner do not work

The staff were great! We felt damp in our room, our clothes we hadn’t worn were damp, weird. The room was falling apart.

Beeping fire alarms in trash cans, folks smoking weed on the balcony and in parking lot, employees knocking on doors waking you up at midnight asking for jumper cables. This is unacceptable. Definitely not family friendly. For just a little more stay across the road at Holiday Inn.

After reading several reviews about this property i was concerned about booking. I must say though that my experiences have been overall good. Clean room, friendly staff, hot water, free parking, close to downtown events. Well pleased.

Place is very convenient for cruise parking. Staff was a little rude. Building is old and Rooms have a strong moldy odor. Rooms could be cleaner.

Very old and rundown hotel. Minimum upkeep done over the years. Very high humidity INSIDE the room!!! Everything was damp. It’s was awful!
3.0
The front office staff were awesome and the bed was very comfortable..the rooms are very outdated with most items having rusted because they are so old. The television was outdated and did not work all the channels had static but I was not too surprised the tv was so old there were no usb connections and it had a SD card slot. Also please be sure to bring your charger with plug included none of the devices had usb ports to charge devices. The room had a stale odor so bring a plug in or some type of air freshener. We stayed one night but unless they do some upgrades we will not return.
