Not at all what was advertised. No Continental breakfast. Fitness center closed. Pool closed. TV didn't work. In room jet tub didn't work. Required cash deposit instead of credit card as they claimed machine was broken. Rude staff in the morning. Treats you like a criminal.

Surprise! You get hit with a security deposit in cash. They check you in first and then hit you with this. Oh, and never any managers on duty to refund or cancel anything. It’s call next day when it’s not helpful.

We arrived after driving 12+ hours, couldn't understand the front desk person, was charged $80 cash deposit, pool was closed, no breakfast as advertised. We got to the room and the toilet wouldn't stop running, had to take a bath bc the shower part wouldn't work. Next day we had to switch rooms bc the toilet overflowed, TV didn't work, phone in room didn't work, light dangling on the ceiling fan and moldings missing around mirror.

The front desk people were rude and snotty. They insisted on a cash security deposit. The only cart to carry our luggage was hard to maneuver. There was no pool or breakfast, even though they claimed there was beforehand. It was a total ghetto experience.

I only got this room because it said it had a pool and breakfast. It did not have either. And there were stink bugs and cockroaches in the hallways. They require a cash deposit. I would look elsewhere if I were you!!!

I wasn’t able to check in because they said I needed to it a 80.00 cash deposit down and I didn’t have cash. Was told well that your problem. Told if I didn’t put the cash down I couldn’t check in. Was never told by hotels.com that I would need to do that. I feel I should receive a refund and if I don’t get one I will never use hotel.com again and will let ever I know not to either

Towels grungy and do not appear clean
Had a King suite with Jetted tub. (Didn't use tub, so can't speak about it)
The computer provided for guests does not work, and per employee, owners are "too cheap" to replace it.
Amber, the night desk staff, was apologetic for the inconvenience, and overall the 2 ladies I encountered were the best parts of my stay.

Customer service was average. My children and I experienced bed bugs in the mattress. When making my complaint there was no immediate concern.

We chose this hotel for the Pool it was shut down. For the breakfast it was shut down. Ice machine was not working. The only saving grace was the shower had excellent pressure and hot water. For some reason the tubs have a high side (higher the normal) and I fell getting out of shower. Would I recommend this hotel “NO”. They also require a 80 deposit at check in where it does not say anything about that at the time of making reservations

Baymont Inn, Springfield Illinois, room conditions are deteriorating, table lamp was broken and one towel bar fell apart, no breakfast available, and the TV was difficult to operate. Also the WiFi had a weak signal.

Hotel doesn’t have breakfast like stated on the website or pool upon checking in went to shower and it was roaches crawling up the wall and behind the microwave went to the front desk to report it and the employee stated they would need to come check the room after he checked the room he said it wasn’t roaches because he didn’t see anything. We asked to be switched to a different room and that room was also nasty and had bugs all over the floor that was dead we asked for a refund and he stated he couldn’t give a refund because he was not a manager and that we would have to wait till the manager come in the next day. We had to check out of the hotel at 12 o’clock at night and find another hotel because it was so nasty called the next day for a refund and they stated that they couldn’t give us or do anything about it because the manager was out of town. This is a do not stay hotel.

Was greeted by a messy lobby, went to check in and they asked for a 80$ cash deposit, had to use the atm they had on site to get the cash out, went up to our room, we found a large urine stain in the fitted sheets and a large red stain going down the side of the mattress into the disgusting stained bed skirt, the next morning as we were getting ready to leave the staff came around at 11:05 am banging on all the doors on our hallway yelling “checkout! It’s time to checkout!” We then hurried out and never to be back! 0/10 stay

I prepaid for the room. When we got there, the guy wouldn’t give us a room. He wanted us take money out of his ATM and pay him a cash deposit of $80. Which was more than I paid for the room. I have never heard of this and was not told ahead of time I needed to do this. I would have never booked if this were case as its very sketch. I would have gladly put a card on file. Our card wouldn’t work in the ATM at first so we had to call the Uber back. Finally, their ATM worked and charged us a fee to take the money out. If we had another option at this point, we would have taken it. When we went to check out the next morning they treated us like criminals checking our room. I knew getting a cheap room was possibly going to come with some issues but I had no idea it would be like this. Never again

My items were thrown away from my room whale I was out for breakfast. The GM offered no compensation and proceeded to tell me that by taking my valuables out of the room I stereotyped the housekeeper for assuming she would steal. Which turned out to be true because she went in my room while I had not checked out. The place had roaches and the linen was dirty. I am filing a complaint with better business bureau

HORRIBLE. Ive stayed at several different Baymont Inns and have never had a bad experience till I stayed at this one. Very rude staff at the front desk. $80.00 CASH deposit required before check in. Pool was not open. No continental breakfast. Fitness center was closed also. I went back to the front desk to ask why the pool was closed and no breakfast, the employee at the front desk was "too busy" on her cellphone! She knew I was standing there, she did not acknowledge me at all and only focused on her cellphone. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again!

The property is decently clean but the front desk person is awful, not helpful at all and even rude. They charge a $80 cash deposit (that nobody lets you know until you are there), the pool is closed and there’s not breakfast “at the time”.

Website shows early check-in as one of the amenities. It also shows a hottub, indoor pool and hot breakfast. These are all features we searched for because we had a sporting event in the morning and evening and had a small window to check in. We arrived at 1pm and walked in and lobby was dark and dirty. There was a sign on the counter that said “back in 15 minutes” when I waited at the counter the desk clerk poked her head out of a dark room. I asked if we were able to check in and she rudely said “nope, check in is at 3pm” I explained we were between events and asked if there were any exceptions since the website says early check in was an option - she again said “no, nothing can be done before 3pm” and then went back behind the wall. My husband came in after and asked to use the restroom and she said no, guests only. He explained we were coming to stay later and she said the men’s restroom was out of service and he was instructed to use the women’s. While we waited we saw a sign that said breakfast wasn’t going to be available and the pool and hottub were closed. You would be better to just close this hotel branch. With everything in disrepair and unclean -I can only imagine what the rooms looked like. We cancelled and have requested a refund. This was all sorts of false advertising, and terrible service.

Rude service at check in, hvac didn't work was 80 in room all night, door handle to bathroom off so couldn't close door, shower didn't function properly, TV didn't work. Overall a very bad hotel. If I hadn't used rewards and already payed with a no cancellation charge I wouldn't have stayed

The staff were angry and seemed to have an agenda, and it lasted all the way through our three night stay, I would avoid this property at all costs unless you’re in a bind. This property’s reviews were misrepresented online and at their front desk. Excessively disappointed all the way around.

This hotel requested a $80 cash only deposit. Most hotels don't want to deal with cash at all. I found this sketchy. When we got our room, the ceiling was falling down. There was no free breakfast as promised and the pool was also closed. We ended up leaving it was that bad.

King suite advertised sleeping for 5. Hide-a-bed had broken springs. We requested rollaways to replace that. THEY had broken springs! We requested another room. They could not do that. Neither the advertised breakfast or swimming pool were available. I previously liked this hotel. Never will risk it again.

The reservation showed breakfast was included. When we chexked in they said that it isn't something they offer anymore. They couldn't even discount the stay to make it right. The pool was closed as well.

The facilities were acceptable. However, there was was the tiniest bar of soap ive ever seen, tge blow dryer didnt work, but most importantly dont advertise you have a free continental breakfast if you don't. There was literally a loaf of walmart white bread and one moldy orange. Thats it. No cereal, milk, oatmeal, bagels coffee, juice.. nothing but a loaf of bread and 1 single moldy orange....i have photos

After I booked, I tried calling the front desk 4 times to touch base about getting in late in the evening. No answer. Since i was traveling far, it worried me that I might not be able to check in. It all worked out in ghe end though the front desk worker had airpods in the whole time and was on personal calls every time I saw him, including while I checked in.
If you have a pet, there is an $80 cash deposit at check-in that I wasn’t aware of. Thankfully had that on hand, but would be frustrating if I didn’t since I was tired and had traveled far already.
As for the room—two of the lights don’t work, one of our pillow cases was burnt, and the drywall needs work,

I liked the shower but i didnt like that your website says pool and there is no pool you should take that off website or say temporarily down, also your website says hot breakfast and there is no breakfast take off website or say not available at this location so ppl can make a better choice if they want to stay there,all your website shows rooms that are updated and the room look they have not been upgraded in a while and furniture broken and outdated and toliet did not work

Booked based on convenient location thinking how bad could it be. Well, it was pretty bad. Dirty and the advertised amenities (breakfast) were non-existent. There was black mold on the ceiling in bathroom, lumpy mattresses and no breakfast. Also charged an $80 deposit - IN CASH. Seriously, who is going to steal anything here or damage the room any worse than it is?

Price fair, everything clean. Very old bath area and lighting, couch was in bad shape, pillows hard and lumpy and was asked for a $80 deposit to cover any damage to the room. As senior citizens we felt humiliated.

My husband walked into the lobby, it was so disgusting we didn’t even check in. I am shocked that Travelocity has this on their website. I’ve trusted Travelocity for years and have never been disappointed with what I have selected! My first mistake was not reading the reviews. This experience has tarnished my view of this website. If so many people have complained of the same thing you would think they would have investigated and had this resolved. How many of their customers have just lost money because they left???
