Great service - golf cart with drivers from lobby to hotel room to restaurants to beach to the other resorts in Mayakoba - beach was crowded with the chairs/mattresses close together - good service. food menu limited at the beach but delicious

I was there on a much-needed girls trip and I will never forget it! The staff, especially the beach staff, was amazing! The beach beds, the spicy margaritas, the very modern and clean fitness center, the spacious and upscale rooms, and the fresh and delicious seafood, was all incredible. I especially appreciated the gluten-free food options and vegan bar!

Andaz Mayakoba exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was made conveniently available for us to have an incredibly relaxing and memorable vacation. The property is stunning and we loved the attention to detail, the superb customer service, the focus on eco-friendliness, the ease of navigating Mayakoba, and the many dining options. Everything was perfect and we will absolutely return.

Everything about this place is amazing. I want to particularly commend Paola Umberto and Daniel as well as my Butler. This is a very busy hotel, and they do their best to make everyone feel special just the same. I couldn’t recommend the property more. It is luxurious quiet and access to the beach is wonderful. All the restaurants are amazing. There’s literally nothing wrong with it.

loved the staff and the resort . Location & the friendliness of everyone that worked there. The one complaint is the cost of the food and drinks. At the Vegan Bar drinks are $25 each I ordered a virgin Mojito and they charged me the same price for that. lunch with a salad & a sandwich and 1 cocktail $100.00 by the pool or on the beach. If you can get all inclusive I would suggest you do that.

Beautiful property, very very relaxing even with our teenagers and toddler. The service is above and beyond great, very fast, kind, accommodating, helpful with booking tours, taxis, etc.
The only thing I wish they had is better breakfast options.
We will DEFINITLY stay again!

We had a fabulous 2 night stay, our suite with private pool was exceptional. The room had all the amenities you could want for. Bed was so comfortable. First night we ate on the beach, the shrimp in garlic was to die for. The second night we ate by the lagoon and had a chicken curry which again was very good. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
Definitely return for a longer stay!!

The listing shows that is all inclusive. Upon arrival , I found out that the food and drinks were not included. The prices for food and drinks are high but they are of good quality. Each alcoholic drink is around $20. Please remove all inclusive from the listing.

We had a fantastic time at Andaz. What a beautiful property, between all Mayakoba hotels there are plenty of amazing dining options, beaches are beautiful, staff was kind, attentive and helpful. It’s a quiet, peaceful and beautiful retreat, my family and I would definitely recommend Andaz Mayakoba.

This property was OUTSTANDING. The service was OUSTANDING. and the food was OUTSTANDING. To transport places it seemed very pricey, I booked transportation from the airport early on and it was only $11, but when you arrive it ranges from $80-120 with the airport companies. I you walk a little further past the airport stands, you can probably find cheaper, and you definitely can bargain. My flight got cancelled so I had to get transportation when I arrived(don't fly spirit) since I was now arriving a different day, and I went through the airport transportation company which told me it would be 80 for a group shuttule that makes several time consuming stops, or 120 for a private shuttle. I got the price lowered to $85 for a private shuttle, but I probably could have walked a little further to other cheaper companies that were not affiliated with the airport. To transport anywhere to a local town or something it was a little pricey, so i recommend booking ALL activities way before you go. Daniel our server, Julian the manager of the Sovento restaurant, and especially victor and manuel i believe were who checked us in when we arrived. THEY ABSOLUTELY SET THE TONE for the trip and made our first impression amazing. My husband and I have traveled to bora bora and many places and we have never experienced such a fantastic welcome. Two shots of mexcal chased with a very delicious and refreshing coconut popcicle, so smart. Im not exaggerating this was the best vaction we have ever had

This is a fantastic resort that I think anyone would love, and we certainly enjoyed our stay greatly. I believe it is truly a 5 star resort it has all the amenities you need with staff willing to go the extra mile to meet your needs. I would say the only knock against this resort and the reason i gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that it is just too spread out to be convenient. The hotel and staff have golf carts and bikes to solve the problem of getting from the beach area to the main part of the resort as well as other areas of the resort, but the beach area and main area of the resort are separated by about a mile and there is only so much that can be done to make this not a problem. Golf carts were readily available but there were mixups from time to time that are almost unavoidable given the size of the place and the lack of familiarity you have as a guest with the grounds that resulted in it taking over 30 minutes for us to get from our room to the tennis courts for instance. It just is a slight pain to have to rely on someone else to get around a resort which is probably 4 square miles in size. Also, a slight knock, the actual beach on this property just isn’t that nice of a beach. To prevent erosion and seaweed they have erected some rather unpleasant looking structures in the water which are eyesores as you look out on the ocean. And the beach itself is not terribly large or nice itself compared to other normal hotel beaches people are probably used to.

We had an amazing stay at the Andaz. The property was beautiful and the staff so friendly and wonderful. We stayed in a lagoon view room and loved it. The view was gorgeous and the room very comfortable.
Getting to the beach was easy, you called and a golf cart came within 2 minutes. My husband loved riding his bike around the property as well.
Casa Amate for brunch was amazing and Sotavento was lovely for dinner. We also loved the Zapote bar at the Rosewood and Saffron Thai at the Banyan Tree. We loved the Lagoon Boat Tour as well.
The hotel did a great job of clearing the seaweed on the beach and we spent a lot of time swimming in the ocean.
I will definitely be returning to the Andaz in the near future!

We heard good things about this property pre-Covid but unfortunately it was a disappointment. The distance from many of the rooms to the beach is far, and while they offer bicycles they are scarce, and the assurance that staff would be readily available in golf carts proved questionable (we often waited for a ride to the beach or a restaurant for lengthy periods only to give up and walk the long distance), the amenities limited & not luxurious at all - including a limited restaurant/menu/food/bar options, the staff inattentive, aloof, and the pricing for incidentals outrageous. Our shower annoyingly dripped for two nights and was not attended to until the day of our departure. The beach itself is nice but not well-maintained (a stroll to adjacent properties on either side revealed beautifully-maintained resorts), and frankly the Andaz is very boring.Forget about getting much service beachfront (I waited for a drink in my cabana for nearly 30 minutes) or getting attentive staff in the desolate restaurants. We've vacationed in the area many times & this place was not anywhere close to being worth the room rates. Also, if you do give it a try, be careful what you sign upon check-in. Resort staff hand you a stack of paperwork at check-in that would take an hour to read through, and then trying to discuss an error or duplicate charge at check-out or via phone or email upon later reviewing is cumbersome. In my opinion, there are far better options down the beach with eager staff.

Beautiful hotel. Nice rooms and well maintained grounds. We have been to Mayakoba before but this was our first stay at Andaz. Everything was great with the exception of the seaweed at the beach which is not the hotel’s fault.

Very secure property! Service was amazing.
Beautiful and relaxing resort.
Very "kid" friendly. Bikes are provided all around the resort, beach cruisers, bikes with training wheels, baby trailers that attach to adult bikes!! They really try to accommodate everyone!!

I booked one day here since we were in the area staying at another property. I thought this might be a place for next year. It just didn't compare. Check in was slow and there was nobody there. The room was okay. We called down to book a place for dinner and they couldn't understand us. We speak English. They told us if we didn't show up at the dinner at the sister property we would be charged. We showed up and there was no reservation. We called the concierge to tell them and they said they couldn't hear us. Had dinner and went back to tell them what happened. Concierge said I would not be charged. I got the bill the next day and was charged. Had to explain for the 3rd time in 15 hours. The food service by the beach was crazy bad and again it was busy, but not packed. No complimentary drink or anything after waiting. It really was a different experience. I was happy to have just paid over $7000 at the other property for 5 nights and experienced awesome everything. Expected a little less here due it being less expensive, but not this drastic of a drop. I will not be going back.
