Rustic charm and contemporary convenience combine at this gorgeous three-bedroom getaway at Rumbling Bald. A haven for outdoor recreation, this sprawling mountain resort community comes packed with endless opportunities for fun, from lake activities to on-site golf, hiking, and more. This sprawling interior boasts soaring, 17-foot-tall ceilings and a gorgeous suite of home features designed for modern family comfort. Enjoy casual downtime around the stone fireplace in the great room or head downstairs to the game and home gym for fun and fitness with foosball, a game table, smart TV, and assortment of exercise equipment. The loft makes for a cozy reading nook or a great space for younger with a TV and VHS player. The well-appointed full kitchen has all the essentials you need for gathering with meals at the adjacent dining table. Outside, the wraparound porch comes furnished for outdoor living and a gas grill provides the makings for a backyard barbecue. Located on the sparkling shores of Lake Lure, Rumbling Bald is one of Western North Carolina’s only multi-course golf destinations. A short drive from Asheville and Charlotte, it features two contrasting 18-hole layouts designed to delight and challenge golfers of all skills. Rumbling Bald's Wellness Center serves as the resort's central hub with amenities, family activities, and self-care options available. The gift shop features local goods and sundries. The fitness center boasts state-of-the-art equipment and weekly exercise classes. Enjoy year-round fun at the upgraded indoor pool area featuring a large, heated pool, jacuzzi, dry sauna, and steam room. There's also an on-site lending library fully stocked with books for all ages. Outside activities include an 18-hole mini-golf course, a full-sized basketball court, sports. courts, and lawn games. THINGS TO KNOW This property has a limit of 10 Rumbling Bald guest passes available. Passes are required for any guests 12 and over. Lake Lure is a man-made lake that is drawn down 12 feet each winter season for maintenance. This will impact shorelines. Water will be back up to normal levels in mid-April. This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: No parking available. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The Wunderland Cabin was perfect for our family for the week at Lake Lure. It was full of charm and very spacious, comfortable, and had lots to offer our family — not to mention the many amenities including the gym and pool facilities at the clubhouse that come with using the house. The kids loved that there were three levels of rooms and bathrooms and loved the foosball and ping pong tables on the lower floor. We would totally recommend the cabin and hope to be back again in the future.

The Wunderland Cabin, located in the beautiful Rumbling Bald resort on Lake Lure, was a wonderful gathering place for our family fall vacation! The house had plenty of space for us with rooms to spare and is well-stocked with everything a family needs.

This is by far the cleanest Vrbo I have ever stayed at. The manager responded quickly to all my concerns/questions. We had everything we needed, and the home was beautiful with plenty of room for my family of 11. The only bummers were the board games need replace because most of them are missing all the pieces and one of the bikes had a flat tire. I'm sure if I reached out about the bike they would have fixed it, but it wasnt a big deal to us.The resort is lovely and full of family fun. Id definitely stay again. Thanks for having us.

We had a great time at Wunderland. While the weather wasn’t the best, the home had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space for the kiddos to spread out. Deck was huge, sat on the picnic table every morning drinking coffee. Place is huge. Check in was easy and customer service was quick to respond. Would definitely stay there again.
