Situated in Rockport, this attractive house for $478 per night is a great option for your next trip. Welcome to your private oasis in Rockport, just steps away from Front Beach. This charming home was recently fully renovated. The brand new kitchen features stunning granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and a small island with 2 barstools. The bathrooms also have all new fixtures, with a tub/shower in the second floor full-bath. The large living/dining room features a 55" flat-screen TV, comfortable couch, an easy chair, a dining table with four chairs and air conditioning. There is also a small dedicated office space off of the living room with a desk & chair perfect for remote work. On the second floor, there are beautiful original wide-pine wood floors. There is a king bed in the Master Bedroom, along with a TV, ceiling fan, and air conditioning. Off the bedrooms, there is a large walk-in closet/laundry room with new front-loading washer & dryer. The second bedroom has a twin daybed, with a second twin trundle bed underneath which can be pulled out as needed (note the second bedroom does not have a separate air conditioning unit - we do provide a fan, and the mini-split a/c unit in the master bedroom will cool the entire second floor if the doors are left open). The backyard has a beautiful shady patio with a table and four chairs, and a gas grill. There is off-street parking in the driveway for 2 cars. The home is on a quaint side-street, right across the street from Millbrook Meadow, which has a playground for the little ones. It is also right around the corner from Front Beach, and an easy walk to the shops and restaurants of Bearskin Neck. For the security of our guests and the safety of our home there is 1 operational security camera located on the outside of the house facing the driveway. The camera records both visually and audibly.

Th cottage is exactly as shown, a nice quiet neighborhood, handy to all the surrounding areas of Rockport and even Boston by train. We ate out, cooked a pot of chili for a two day cold spell, slept well in a comfy bed. You literally could not ask for more. The host was prompt in replies and communication was faultless. We’d stay again in a heartbeat. This was our second trip to the area, and we truly enjoy Cape Ann. From sailing to museum visits, it was a great trip.

Came in from Texas for a weekend get away to escape the heat. In addition to the cooler temperatures we were thrilled with the accommodations, location and overall ambiance. The place is even better in person. Comfortable beds and furniture. Gretchen, the host, was very helpful and responsive. The location is perfect. On a quiet street, but easy walk to shopping, restaurants and the beach. Will definitely be back.

This was by far the comfiest house we’ve stayed in during our travels. The bedding was soft and cozy, stocked kitchen, comfortable couch and chairs and a washer and dryer to boot! Perfect for our family on an extended weekend and within walking to downtown shops and restaurants. My little one didn’t want to leave! We will absolutely be back to stay!

This was our second year staying at Gretchen’s amazing property. This house is truly a hidden gem - perfect proximity to the beach and town and a clean family friendly house with every amenity needed for a great vacation. Gretchen is extremely responsive as well. The patio out back with a grill were an added bonus for cool summer evenings. We can’t wait until next summer!

We have stayed in several vacation rentals, and we have never come rented one that was so thoughtfully designed and appointed. Everything is there, from the paper toweling to the shampoo/conditioner and body wash. It was squeaky clean. I could even see the vacuum tracks left on the back of the couch from its last clean. Great patio and location. The only thing I would suggest is that when you take a shower bring whatever toweling you require from the hall closet in with you before you take a shower. Otherwise, the house is great!

Our family (two adults, two kids, ages 8/5) stayed here for a week in August and it was absolutely perfect. Clean, bright, cheery and the best location to Front Beach and the town and an easy drive to everywhere else you would want to go on Cape Ann. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved everything about this place. Really feels like a little (updated beautifully!) cottage by the sea. We hope to be back!

Home was actually one of the best summer vacation homes that we have stayed at in the past. Clean, well kept, no odd smells. Some more microwaveable items would be helpful. We would definitely return.

We spent six June nights in this charming and very clean cottage just around the corner from Front Beach. Pleasant simple decor (no collectible clutter, thank you!), comfortable furnishings, easy in/out systems and instructions. A great stay!

As native Rockporters is was so nice to be back home to see family and friends on Forest St where we lived for years. The rental is a perfect two bedrooms and well equipped and very comfortable. It was a wonderful stay all around.
