Our home was built with love and care and is perfect for travelling adult friends or families with older children *parents travelling with children under 10 years old need to note our minimum age requirements/concerns and contact host if they want to request a special exception.* The amount of wildlife that visit our grounds on an almost-daily basis is BREATHTAKING. Toucans, macaws, hawks, wild mountain chickens, exotic woodpeckers, fly catchers, vultures, hummingbirds and so many more avians - a bird-watcher's HEAVEN! Agoutis, sloths, deer, coatis, unique Costa Rican opossums... Butterflies of every color, size and shape... An amazing variety of reptiles and frogs! We are blessed to have such a variety of unique and exotic creatures regularly pass through our private paradise. Our home is nestled in a serene jungle setting with a gorgeous infinity pool, 12 minutes (5.2 km) from beautiful Manuel Antonio and its world-famous national park, gorgeous beaches, excellent restaurants and unique shops. Casa de la Reina is a lovely 3 bed, 2 bath home, each room featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open onto the deck and pool area and look out to the towering jungle trees. Two of our bedrooms feature exquisitely comfortable queen beds and our third bedroom has two twin beds, also both extremely comfortable. All our bedrooms have powerful but extremely quiet AC units, super efficient fans and beautiful, sturdy bamboo ‘shelves’ to hang and/or stow your clothes and luggage. The bathrooms (one a shared bath and the other attached to master bedroom) each have an extra-large standing shower with built-in shower-shelves. The gorgeous deck is partially covered so folks can eat outside and happily converse - even in a jungle downpour. The deck has a propane BBQ grill, comfy lounge chairs for sunning, a large outdoor dining table, coffee tables and chairs outside each bedroom, an outside shower and a beautiful infinity pool that overlooks the jungle beyond. The kitchen is spacious and chef-friendly with everything you need to cook your own masterpieces. It features a large kitchen table/ island that comfortably seats six and overlooks the living room with its high ceilings and spectacular view of the gorgeous deck and infinity pool. The living room also has a cozy love chair, a super-comfy couch (extra long and specially-designed for even a very tall person to get a wonderful night’s sleep). The living room also has a large smart TV and beautifully designed coffee tables where you can work on your computer while watching your favorite shows. La Reina is surrounded by wildlife, soothed by the sounds of nature, buffered by jungle forest from the distractions of street-noise, yet only a two-minute ride from the vibrant energy of Manuel Antonio and all its sights, music, happy visitors, and positive vibe. Take a dip in our private infinity pool or lounge on the deck, surrounded by towering trees that are visited daily by exotic birds, monkeys, macaws, sloths and our resident iguana, 'Stumpy.' Lush with palms, flowering fruit trees, towering jungle trees, colorful flowers as well as visiting exotic birds, butterflies, iguanas, monkeys, macaws, sloths and more, our home is indeed its own little paradise. We live on a very safe, very quiet street, and our neighbors are a mix of locals and long-time ex-pat residents who are very protective of our little area. While we only have parking for one car within our security gate, we do have room for another just outside our gate, which is monitored by 24-hour security cameras and very bright motion-detector lights. In a private jungle setting that's as peaceful and quiet as it is beautiful, we are located in-between the national park and beaches, and the bustling town of Quepos with its plethora of shops, food markets and restaurants. Also in Quepos and only five minutes away is the famous Pez Marina with its awesome high-end shopping, marvelous restaurants, fishing charters, world-class fishing tournaments, family friendly outdoor movie nights and live music under the stars. Our location is everything: we're just off of a main thoroughfare that leads to-and-from the beaches and National Park in one direction, or in the other direction only 5 minutes from vibrant Quepos town and all its restaurants, clothing and souvenir stores, markets (including farmer's market, meat and fish and organic markets). Our visitors have so many options for sightseeing, tours, adventures, hikes, jungle romps, wonderful restaurants, live music, esquisite beaches, visiting wildlife, and gorgeous scenery - every day is an amazing adventure and a wonderful opportunity to make unforgettable memories you will cherish. Casa de la Reina - the House of the Queen - a paradise within paradise.

Great home, excellent location. The pool to us was the highlight! We spent many afternoons and evenings relaxing in a jungle like atmosphere. Our hosts were wonderful and property was exactly as described, no surprises. We would definitely return.

This is a fantastic house that offers all of the creature comforts we needed. Beds were comfortable and the A/C in the bedrooms kept them nice and cool for sleeping. The pool is fantastic! We saw howler monkeys traipsing through the trees twice! Stumpy was seen often on his stump. It's a little hard to find initially, but well worth it when you get there. You will not regret staying here! We had 5 in our party and there was plenty of room. Concierge Eric helped us make some reservations and made sure we met the right guides. Any message was quickly answered.

A big thanks to Teya for letting us stay in her home. She is very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The home is beautiful and I really like the layout of the property. Each bedroom has easy access to the pool area. You are practically in the jungle with a prime view of the diverse wildlife. We had one snafu with the power being out for an hour during our stay but it luckily got restored quickly.

Wonderful home with great hosts. Teya made everything effortless and Gary was invaluable in helping us book excursions. Probably our favorite VRBO we've ever stayed in.

From the time we got there until we left, we had a wonderful time. Communication was excellent as we met Fabio to take us to the house and orient us to everything. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Beds are very comfortable, AC kept home cool and ceiling fans in each room. The pool is gorgeous. Relaxing on the back patio, we saw several troops of monkeys come through in the trees in backyard. Saw Red macaws on our last day up close versus flying over. The home is nestled in between Quepos and manual Antonia so we spent time in both for groceries and restaurants. We enjoyed numerous meals at the restaurants that they recommended in their welcome book. The farmer’s market in Quepos did not disappoint and we highly recommend if you are there on a Friday or Saturday when it is open! We can’t forget Stumpy! He was a favorite to see each day! I highly recommend this home for your vacation! Our family( 3 college age kids) loved our stay here!
