It holds cherished memories of family gatherings and is now waiting for you to add your own when visiting the Brevard area, Pisgah National & Dupont State Forest. Located on the bank of the Davidson River, guests can view those fly fishing or anglers can reserve their own private spot through Davidson River Outfitters. Public access to Davidson River is approximately a mile upriver just inside the Pisgah National Forest. Pearly & Lois is the perfect vantage point for biking the area or those looking to hike or mountain bike. DuPont and Pisgah trailheads are only a short distance away. After a long day of hiking, biking, fishing or exploring the area, our cozy bungalow offers all you will need to rest, relax and re-energize for your next adventure.

We had a fabulous stay with our family of four (2 adults and 2 children (11 & 8). The home is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you would need. The back of the house has a beautiful view of the mountains and a stable, which was a favorite for the kids. Closely located to Pisgah National Forest, downtown Brevard, and local breweries.

The property was perfectly located, across the street from the Davidson River. Although the river access across from the property is Private Water, we had paid in advance to have access for two days.
The only concerns were: a larger coffee pot would have been appreciated (mini coffee pot) and small bars of soap for the showers.

Cottage was absolutely adorable, clean, decorated perfectly, and well supplied. We spent Thanksgiving here and it was just PERFECT for our 5 people around the farmhouse style dining room. We seriously wanted this place to be our own. It was only 8 miles away from my mother-n-law and we WILL BE BACK! :)

My husband and I took a quick getaway to Brevard for the first time. Pearly and Lois was the perfect home away from home! The modern farmhouse theme left us reminiscing about times with our grandparents. You’ll appreciate the superb cleanliness and accommodations. Book this quaint cottage, you won’t be disappointed!

This place is adorable, you can tell the owners really cared to preserve its charm. It is comfortable and has everything you need. The bed was SO comfortable. The perfect spot for our little family to warm up after a camping trip. Will definitely stay again if we come back to this area!

Everything about this cottage was perfect. Located a stones throw to downtown Brevard, but feel like you’re still somewhat rural. Also, you can be at Dupont State Park in 10 minutes. The cottage itself was absolutely adorable. Had all the amenities you want plus so much charm. The backyard is also great, you can enjoy views of mountains and horses while you enjoy a fire. Would 100% recommend and hope to return soon.

My brother and I had a great stay at this home. It was one of the few 2 bedroom houses that also has 2 full bathrooms. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well-equiped for cooking. FYI the section of the Davidson across the street is private and you have to fish that river in the Pigsah forest area a mile away (still great fishing) Would 100% rebook this house.

This spot was just as billed. Super sweet and furnished with a personal touch. Great location, away from the hubbub and yet within close biking or drive to trails and Brevard or The Hubb, for other things. Quiet and lovely. Hosts were super communicative. Thank you.

Oh. My. Word. BOOK THIS PLACE. we have already booked for the same weekend next year. We oooed and awwwed from driving into the driveway to walking in the front door and looking in every room.
The attention to detail was incredible. The communication with the owner was superior.

The river is in front of the house. There’s a pasture of horses in the back. I loved sitting out in the little nook in the backyard in the 58° in the morning.
So peaceful. We did NOT want to leave.

The house is gorgeous and has so much character; it might seem like it is on the smaller size, but it feels incredibly spacious and is very tastefully decorated. Literally everything you could possibly need is provided, plenty of plates, silverware, cups, small appliances, towels, pillows, cleaning supplies... this is easily one of the best stocked rental houses I have ever stayed in. The beds are comfortable, it was incredibly clean, and so silent at night. Plus the sunrise in the morning was lovely. The location was absolutely perfect for spending time in DuPont and Pisgah, and it was extremely comfortable coming back to relax and unwind after a long day outside. I would absolutely stay here again!

My family greatly enjoyed our stay at this sweet bungalow. The owner was friendly and accommodating, and the house was easy to find and easy to check in. The home was wonderfully decorated with so many sweet touches. The comfortable couches were great to relax and watch TV, and the kitchen had everything you could need to prepare meals. Full laundry on the back porch was a plus. The bedrooms with separate baths was perfect, and beds were really comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful, quiet surroundings, which was just minutes from downtown Brevard. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future!

The house is adorable! Carefully decorated with attention to detail. I got the house so my 12 year old could fish in the river across the street. But actually the river is privately owned and totally inaccessible to the house. The only view is from the corner of the front yard. I liked the house itself, but I know we wont be back.

Fantastic! Four of us (adults) stayed at Pearly & Lois for 7 nights. As great as the pictures look, this house is even cuter. It is charmingly decorated and equipped with everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you need. It is also sparkling clean! A big horse pasture with 4 horses grazing is a relaxing scene from the back yard. Just down the road (you can walk to it) is Queen’s Berry and Produce. We picked our own blackberries and blueberries, zucchini squash and a bunch of beautiful flowers. Downtown Brevard is just 3 miles away. The Pisgah National Forest is just 1 mile away and on your way to the forest is a popular ice cream spot and next door to that is a place that rents tubes for tubing down the river. Just beyond that is the entrance to the Davidson River campground. (We used to camp there, but after many years, we are SO DONE with camping) Anyway, on the road to the campground, there’s a bridge you can park at and go trout fishing in the Davidson River. There may be lots of places to hang your hat and put your feet up, but this charming little farmhouse called Pearly & Lois is very, very special. It is also close to Hendersonville and Asheville. Pearly & Lois was the perfect place for us to stay and we can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful home, just the right size and location we were hoping for. So many unique features and such a well functioning home. Our granddaughter loved seeing the horses in the back field and watching the fireflies light up the evening. Everything was special; we’ll be back!

My friends and I were all singing in a chorus performing at the Brevard Music Center. We needed a place that we could sleep, shower, and have a quick breakfast for a couple of days. This country cottage was perfect for us. It's small, with just two bedrooms, each with its own bath, a living room, dining room and kitchen. We didn't use any appliances other than the fridge and coffee maker, but it appeared to have everything we would have needed if we had wanted to cook, including grilling out. The beds and the living room were very comfortable. It was exceptionally clean. The location was not in town, but it was an easy 10-minute drive to Main Street shops and restaurants. Pisgah National Forest was even closer. Very quiet location. I'd say this is a place for adults or families that don't plan to be in the house much, although there is a TV if you're starved for entertainment. (And there is fly-fishing right across the road.) A local motel would have cost us twice as much. We were more than satisfied with out stay.

A great week at this mountain home with lots of character. Very comfortable and well equipped in a thoughtful way. Short drive into Brevard and very central to lots of great hikes Pisgah and DuPont forests. East arrival and departure.

What a special place!! So much thought went in to every detail. It was a prefect place for a family of four (two preteen boys). The host was extremely helpful and communicative. Just a short car ride to downtown Brevard. We hope to visit again very soon. Thank you so much for a great weekend away.
