About this house rental

Ideal for families or friends looking to enjoy the best of Eugene while staying in a place that feels like home! Cascade Cottage is a newly renovated 1950's single-story home in the heart of the desirable South Eugene neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes, bakeries, parks, and running/biking trails. Short drive to UofO, downtown, hiking, wineries, and more. With lots of natural light and an open-concept main living area, enjoy all modern-conveniences in a stylish and inviting environment. Whether a friends weekend wine tasting, a family trip for a wedding or sporting event, this house has what you need. OPEN CONCEPT LIVING, DINING, KITCHEN The main portion of the house has windows on each side creating a welcoming environment. Rest comfortably with a book, play board games (in the media console), stream movies or shows on the TV, or converse from the comfortable Pottery Barn couches. The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything from wine glasses to kid's diningware to small appliances like a rice cooker and blender. We've also included bakeware, a pizza pan (get great dough from Market of Choice down the street or a pre-made pizza from Hideaway Bakery, also down the street), serving bowls, and more. The dining area is a cozy circular table that fits 6 and there is more space for casual dining when sitting on stools at the butcher block island. BEDROOM 1 and 2 This charming home was built in the 50's and while it was renovated to have modern amenities and updated features, the bedrooms are on the smaller size when compared to newly built homes. They each have a queen size luxury Serta mattress, nightstands with reading lamps, and closets with hangers, a laundry basket, extra pillows and blankets. BEDROOM 3 As parents who love to travel, we understand how difficult it can be with kids. We've worked hard to make this home family-friendly, with a kids room that has books, toys (ages 1-5), and bunk beds. We've also stocked this home with items to make travelling with littles easier: high chair, kid's dining ware, pack 'n play with a changing table and bassinet feature, and a kid's potty seat. But don't worry, adults can sleep on the bunk beds too! BATHROOM 1 This main bathroom has a two sinks, a shower and bathtub combo, and a linen closet with extra towels. You can also find the first aid kit, hair dryer, and a few toiletries, under the sink. BATHROOM 2 We're the first to admit, the second bathroom is quirky! It's updated with white subway tiled-shower and toilet, but small. The sink is ouside the bathroom in the mudroom/laundry area. We hope to afford a remodel of this area soon. In the meantime, it's still a nice shower and private toilet. OFFICE SPACE A desk and lamp, with conveniently located outlet, is tucked into it's own space in bedroom 3. Enjoy high-speed wi-fi throughout the house. MUDROOM/LAUNDRY ROOM Located right off the main common area, the large mudroom contains a washing machine and dryer, the ironing board and iron, and high chair. Acess the back yard through here. BACKYARD Large back-yard is great for running around in, relaxing on the covered-patio, or cooking on the BBQ. NEIGHBORHOOD This peaceful neighborhood is full of trees and you will always see people out walking, running, biking (rain or shine, but definitely more). The location is ideal for easy access to UofO, performances and concerts downtown, conventions, and more. Dining: Walking distance to multiple restaurants along Hilyard and Amazon including Hideaway Bakery (great coffee, pastries, breakfast, lunch, handmade raviolis, bread, pizza), Provisions South (cafe and little shop), Mazzy's italian restaurant, two mediterranean restaurants, brewery, and more. Just minutes from all of downtown's great dining options by car or bus. Outdoors: Hop on the Amazon Creek running, biking, and walking trail at the end of the street. North will take you to Amazon playground (one of the cities best) and swimming pool. Walking distance to Tugman park as well. A short drive to multiple trailheads including Spencers Butte, Mount Baldy, Mount Pisgah, Ridgeline Trail and more. Wineries: 20 minute drive to King Estate, Slivan Ridge, Sweet Cheeks, Sarver, and others.

We had a great stay at this adorable home. We were in town for a volleyball tournament and this space was just perfect for our group (Moms and their teen daughters). The host (Kelley) was so sweet and accommodating when we had last minute changes and needed an extra night due to bad weather. She went above and beyond to make sure we were all set. The home was very well appointed and stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Convenient location. All in all, great!

Stayed here for UO family weekend and had such a great time. Darling and super clean property in a cool neighborhood close to walking trails, restaurants and not far from campus. Smaller home but full of charm. Host was exceptional to work with and very responsive. House was well appointed and super clean. Would definitely recommend!
