House was perfect for our family, beach was amazing, very short walk. Excellent neighborhood, owner very easy to work with. I think we have found our favorite fall break house!!

The house itself was very nice, the major problem we had was flooding in the ground floor that was closed in to make two more bedrooms & game room. There also were spiders & spider webs in those bedrooms down there. I called the maintenance person, Joey, and he responded promptly. It rained two nights, so we had flooding both nights. He came out twice to clean up the flooding & remove rug that was soaked. There also were 3 wasp nests on the back of the house so going in the pool was iffy. We would have liked to use the Bar-B-Que pits but they were both dirty. Hated to bother Joey again. My family did enjoy their stay, but don't know if I would pay that kind of money again with the problems we had. It seems that once the house was cleaned after previous guest, it was not checked again before our arrival.

Our family really enjoyed this property. We also had family in the property next door in addition to the Camp Gulf next door. The communication from the owners was fantastic. They were very responsive. The location was perfect with a private beach and being able to walk there in two minutes. We visited Baytown Wharf on accident as we went just for a restaurant and found out there is a ton of things to do there. We highly recommend going there. We were only 25 minutes from our boat rental at crab island.
There were only a few negatives that we could point out. The fan in the kitchen had dust all over it in addition to the ceiling from having the HVAC system cleaned. The furniture is very dated and could use an upgrade in addition to mounting the tv's on the wall. The AC on the third floor leaked, but we just put a towel down and it was fine. We had a grill not work and they brought a new one out right away. There was also a broken spindle on the back gate which was previously glue that fell off. Totally a minor thing. It would be awesome if properties had some sort of ice machine as well.
I'd recommend bringing beach chairs and an umbrella instead of renting them. We were glad we had ours.
Overall we loved this property and would and probably will rent it again.

This house is as close as you can get to the beach without “on the beach” cost. Pool was GREAT. We brought a water volleyball net and had a blast. There is hardly anyone else on the beach. Tons of great ocean views. Only issue is the grill needs to be replaced. We had 5 families with 22 people. We would stay here again.

We had a US Army reunion (40 years), and it was a great place to stay. Close to the beach, comfortable rooms, a great pool, and a very nice place to vacation. Excellent communication with the manager/owner. Fun fun fun!

Everything went very good while we were staying on the property. We had a maintenance issue while staying and Joey was there to get it fixed right away.

Big house with a 1 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of entertainment with what the house provides as well as the beach. Beautiful rooms with balcony views. We all had a great time.
Only issues were the grill and sand + hair in the bed sheets (definitely in the beds on the very top floor). We tried to grill on the last day. The grill was dirty. The propane tank ran out within 8 minutes of grilling. Went to replace the tank, but the grill decide to not properly light/heat up with a new tank. The sand and other people's hair in the bed sheets were a little annoying since there is a pretty hefty cleaning fee, but we survived. Sand is gonna be everywhere cause.....beach.

There is definitely lots of room for the entire extended family. The pool was magnificent. The beach area was extremely clean and the sand was smooth and beautiful. The upper rooms and furniture was in perfect condition. I would use the lower level for a changing area for the pool

This was our first experience with Miramar Beach and it did not disappoint. The house was perfect for our group. The property manager was very attentive to all our needs, and communication was excellent. The weather was a little cool the first two days, so the heated pool was a great addition for the kids in our group. The house did not have all the amenities we normally have when staying in other Vrbo properties. Bring your own garbage bags. Extras are not furnished. Winn Dixie, Publix and Walmart are nearby, though. They do have a few beach chairs and other beach toys available from previous guests. If you aren’t used to dehumidifiers, note that the bottom floor has two of them that need to run. You will need to empty water out of them, which was a very minor inconvenience. The ping pong table needs a new net. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely home with great views of Gulf. Easy access to beautiful white sand beach. Hand rails and deck on bedroom balcony could use some repairs. Overall great experience.

The house is great and has plenty of room for several families. It was great how close the beach is to the house - we just told the kids to go to the beach and have fun! Great place to stay!!

The property is a one minute walk to a private beach. When we saw the crowds on either of side of us, we were so thankful to be on the private stretch of beach. It was absolutely beautiful. Despite not being directly on the ocean, there are still great views from the house. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect for our family of 16. The pool in the backyard was amazing for the kids. We used the grill and it worked great. The only negative is the interior of the house could use some love. Much of the furniture and linens were clearly very worn out. The oven stopped working on us on our first night and was not repaired until our very last day. The sinks and tubs do not have drain stoppers, huge piece of plywood on the front porch, other minor repairs needed throughout, etc. The pricing was fair and much more affordable than other proprieties so overall we were pleased. Great place if you don’t mind some minor imperfections.

Great location everything about this property was amazing, now cleaning was another story sheets and bed was dirty we found sand in several beds and when we first got to the property we had to do a brief cleaning before we started our day. They property just didn't feel clean at all didn't get much sleep

There are major safety concerns that need addressed. I understand that upkeep can be a challenge with rentals but we are very disappointed with the house..
Here’s a some of the things that were issues:
The pool ladder is broken. The pool light under the ladder is unattached and hanging by the cord.
The gates to the pool are broken and unsafe for children.
The threshold to the kitchen from the porch is detached from the floor and could easily cause a fall.
Some of the porch furniture is dirty and some of the chairs are broken and unsafe.
A portion of the 2nd floor back porch railing is barely attached to the house and would easily fall with little force. The front door was difficult to close and could easily be pushed open by babies.
The house was in desperate need of a deep cleaning. Carpets needed cleaned and black soot or mold was coming out of the vents.
The team was responsive but the things needed done were beyond typical cleaning and repair.
For the price we paid, this is unacceptable and clearly just a money grab. This house probably brings in significant revenue in a year but little if anything is going into the house.

Very close to the beach. We didn’t spend much time there unfortunately
because of the June grass, but the pool was used every day. The pool pump failed but the property manager did his best to fix it as quickly as possible. We were still able to enjoy the pool during our entire stay which was nice.

Perfect house and perfect location. We basically had our own private beach in Destin which is un heard of. Less than 100 yards to beach. Few minor issues with the house but overall a 5 star rating. Already booking it for next year!!

The online listing is true to the description and pictures. Easy access to the beach, from the second and third balcony always a breath taking view. Easy access to the town by walking or driving. I would choose this beach home again.

I’m super disappointed in this experience and lack of communication. Where as the gentleman that did the fixing was very accommodating and quick to respond we did spend half our vacation with him in and out of the house including our first night until 9 pm when we are trying to put small children to bed. We rented a 7 bedroom house only to find out once we got there we lost out on the first floor bedrooms due to the mold smell (which I asked about before booking due to another review and was assured that it was fixed) and the separate entrance which is not clarified in description. We were forced than to keep kids in bedrooms with parents. I wouldn’t have had a problem with this but than we would have only needed a 5 bedroom house not a 7, which would have saved a great deal of money. There was a leaking roof which left a slippery floor in front of my handicap fathers bedroom. No air conditioning in any of the bedrooms, main floor only. The 3rd floor bedrooms got individual window ac units to remedy the situation, but my family was all on the top floor with no air conditioning. The stand alone unit he gave us still had to vented in order to work which was impossible in that room as there were no windows to open. The temp was consistently 84-88 up there, even at night. If we could open the door it helped tremendously, but could not have it open while sleeping because it is not safe having a 3 yr old up there. Cable didn’t work more times than it did. Internet was supper spotty which left my high school niece and nephews unable to do homework as well as my special needs niece unable to use her iPad which she uses to communicate and learning with out using her parents hot spot. We asked the gentleman doing the repairs to have the owner contact us but got nothing. I emailed him twice before leaving this review and received nothing. They did claim there was a storm before we arrived but that doesn’t effect all of the problems we had nor does it explain the lack of communication.

Although the house is one row back from the ocean front and next to an RV park, there are still great views of the ocean and it is on a private beach, so not crowded.
