Relaxing stay in the north of Åland

Very calm relaxing place by the sea. Nice restaurant and diverse breakfast

Overpriced rooms, you only pay for the location and surroundings

The location and the surroundings are the only reasons to come here, in addition to the sauna that has a great view to the sea, as well as the indoors pool.

The hotel is overpriced, and you only pay for the location, nothing more. The rooms are very basic and small and have no air conditioning. We faced several issues during our stay and mentioned about these to the staff, hoping to get some kind of compensation, especially considering the very high price of the room. But the only thing we got was apologies. - The bathroom floor was dirty when we arrived. This was fixed after we told about the issue to the reception. - There was shortage of water the next day. After it started running again, the water was brown for several hours. - The water shortage caused the (water-based) heating system to make a terrible noise throughout our second night and we were unable to sleep. As the reception was closed, we were not able to complain about this in the nighttime. - The room was a bit hot and we were not able to keep the window open, as someone was smoking mosquito smoke coils somewhere outside. - The breakfast is really basic and doesn't contain anything home-made, as you'd expect with this price level. - No toiletries available with this price, you only get soap to wash your hands. The overall experience was quite bad, and you would expect a lot more from a room that costs almost 200 euros/night.

Nice location but upsetting service

Amazing location, the area is nice and chill, and a sea-view sauna was a blast. You can also dip into the sea and get back to the bottom sauna which is so cool!

When we booked a room I asked for a double bed, but when we came the reception lady said it is not possible cause they don’t have any double rooms at all. This is apparently not true since I could check at the hotel website that this kind of rooms exists there. I obviously should have double-checked, but the thing which frustrated me is how the lady didn’t care to help us at all. She just bluntly told us she can’t do anything and that’s it, or we can pay about 200 euros more for a villa. Though seems like in our building there were empty double rooms for example. It’s either the hotel policy not to change the rooms or the opinion of the lady herself. On top of that we had a parking view, which is not very relaxing. The restaurant was also questionable. Though the food was really nice, the waiter just simply forgot he had to get us to our table and we waited fifteen minutes for nothing. The restaurant in the hotel is quite pricy so this is not what I’ve expected the service to be. The last point was when I tried to buy a postcard and again for about ten minutes no one bothered to come, the reception was empty. Nowhere to ring or call, and the restaurant workers seem to be not in charge for the reception at all so they don’t care. All in all, ridiculous service for such a great location and idea.

Great breakfast with a lot of choices ! Sauna with beautiful view and possiblity to go directly to the sea just after ! The peaceful environement with possiblity to walk around into the forest

Exceptional

The place is very quiet.

I found the sauna dirty st the evenings. Would be important to have a water hose in there so that after using the sauna the user washes it a bit.

Superb

Beatifoul sea side location, poolhpuse with the sun terrace, restaurant and hiking route.

The room might need better air conditioning since the night was very hot even with the air cooler.

The views are breathtaking but would not stay in the hotel room for more than one night.

The location is beautiful and the resort has a nice sauna with sea view and a lovely sun deck. The breakfast was delicous.

For such high prices the rooms are very hostel like; small and with no air con or fridge. The rooms are located on the ground floor and our windows were directly across the parking lot so we had to keep the shades closed the whole time.

Superb

Beautiful building in even more beautiful surroundings. There's not much else nearby than breathtaking views and nature, which really makes this place perfect for relaxation - everywhere in the structure is so calm and quite. The pool house area was amazing, with a fantastic view on the harbor, sauna both in the changing room with big windows as well as just by the sea. We didn't eat at the restaurant but tried their cocktails which were great and the breakfast buffet was overwhelmingly good, to enjoy on the terrace. The personnel was so kind and friendly.

If you don't book a whole "klipphus", the bedrooms themselves are nothing special and quite small, but you won't want to spend that much time there anyway considering the possibility to hang in other beautiful areas indoors and outdoors of the structure.

Location is nice, surrounded by beautiful nature (which you don’t get to see from room window). Room was bigger than a dogs house, interior was interesting with all the chairs on the wall. Room temperature was like a freezer so it was easy to keep drinks cold. It was also made sure that we didn’t get to warm each other during the night by having two separate beds that couldn’t be attached together. Who needs cuddling anyway on a romantic holiday. Was happy to visit the new common sauna now, before it’s completely damaged by mold because someone definitely hasn’t figured out how to build a proper sauna. Fitness center was… surprising. Not in the way you would think though. At least they had one treadmill and two sweaty yoga mats. The reception is closed during the day so if you need anything, you can just rely on yourself. There’s no mention about it anywhere so I guess you just have to know.

This place would have all the assets to make their resort a lot better but they just don’t seem to bother.

Stay out of the room and enjoy the facilities

The wonderful staff deserves a special mention. The view from the saunas is astonishing. The opening hours for pool and sauna facilities are well planned, so that the guests can make the most of out of them even on the day of departure, and breakfast is luckily not too early, starting at 8:30. The dinner menu has three delicious choices and tasty wine options. I recommend the fish dishes, although one might die of gluttony afterwards.

The room was truly underwhelming, being a tiny closet with a ground level view of the parking spots. I missed having a water kettle for tea and cursed bumping into my partner and luggage constantly.

The restaurant was a little bit short on its menu list indeed didn't have all the dishes (out of 3 choices...) available, this point should be improved, especially for guest who stay more than one night...

Pleasant

The views from the property are great and the location is truly unique. Breakfast is good. The sauna complex with a swimming pool and possibility to swim in the sea is nice although some parts of it were closed during our stay.

I don't quite understand why the rooms are facing inland (ours straight to the parking lot) in a small building where you could have the rooms looking out to the sea. Besides, the rooms are rather small. The restaurant and bar is a bit bleak and charmless although the view is great.

A couple travelling by bicycles
