Very good

very close to the beach and old town. perfect location. many restaurants and market in the area. the coffee that rents the rooms had nice atmosphere and good food

poor sound isolation. had to sleep with earplugs.

This is not your typical B & B, but is fun, central, and puts you into the life of the city.

The location is in the center of the old city action and therefore easy to get everywhere including the beach. The very frequent, inexpensive, easy tram to the train station is just about 3 blocks (easy walk). That tram also intersects with one to the airport, so unparalleled public transportation serves you optimally. Rooms are really well decorated. Breakfast was very nice outside at the bar downstairs with a busy , but attentive wait staff. Within a 5 block radius are grocery stores, many restaurants, gelato, more gelato , and at least as many bakeries. I would recommend Room with a Vue to anyone not needing lots of concierge assistances. It is different and fun. Good space and great bed.

I missed that I was to check in at the bar, so spent time looking for the "hotel". One night there was some loud (but decent Italian) singing until 1015. This is a busy area but with windows closed, the vibrant street scene did not bother us and is fun to watch from above. Some might not like having to go to the bar with any questions, but we did not need to do that.

Wonderful stay in old town! Highly recommend for those looking for simple setup in amazing location.

Location, value, customer service were awesome! Right above cute cafe and beautiful views! Highly recommend this gem!

none really - great to be in the thick of it. don’t stay if you want a dreamy backwater. It is located in a busy and vibrant part of the city and if you need 8 hrs of uninterrupted sleep - you’ll be disappointed!

Great location, adequate space for a short stay break & good cleanliness. Liked the lovely restaurant attached to the hotel, Pain et Cie, lovely breakfast, fantastic location to people watch.

The street noise, ironically due to the great location! which meant much disturbed sleep. The noise was constant throughout the night starting at 2am with night time revellers emptying from local bars, followed by street cleaners, deliveries & surrounding cafes/restaurants setting up for the day

Very central, nice breakfast, beds very comfortable

The location is super central and full of bars/restaurants, so indeed quite noisy, but I’m a light sleeper and i had no problem to sleep with ear plugs - my husband slept with no issues without.

I am not sure why Queen Victoria looked so po-faced when photograhed in Nice all those years ago.

Great balcony to watch the world passing by. Nice is amazing.

Some may say noisy, we would say atmospheric.

Was a little noisy at night but that's expected with the great location. There is no mention when booking that you need to go into the restaurant to check in took us a while to figure out.

Great location to be close to the water and old town. Francesco welcomed us warmly and that was nice. We loved being able to run down to the sea, take a swim and get back to clean up so easily. Breakfast in the morning was a good simple European fare: bread, jam, coffee and juice.

It was VERY noisy at night and in the early morning. The toilet upstairs is accessed on a narrow stairway above the bed that has no railing. We did not realize the room would not be cleaned. This was fine, just not what we expected. The toilet sink shower area is quite small and though it worked for us, it might be pretty uncomfortable for someone who is larger.

nice room, nice location but very very noisy and no one feels responsible

it’s a nicely designed room and breakfast is great .

it is a very noisy location but the windows don’t keep the noise out and the air condition didn’t work . so it was both, noisy and hot. and when I wanted to leave the accommodation early because of these complaints, nobody was able to deal with it and I never got a reply on my request for refund .

Pros and cons

The location was excellent, just a few yards from the promenade, shops, market and restaurants. The room was quite stylish and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was nice, but very limited.

It was advertised as having aircon and soundproofing, which wasn’t really accurate. The area was party central, with noise virtually 24 hours a day, so when we opened the windows we were hit with a wall of sound, all night long. If you’re partial to a night’s sleep, and it’s hot, it’s a bit of a problem. If you want to party all night long and then listen to the market being set up, it’s perfect. Having said that I would probably stay here again if I was in the area, as it is so central.

the best part of of trip to Europe was staying at this charming hotel! loved everything about it.

the amazing view, location, the character, the balcony, the high ceiling, the bakery right below.. all of it. it was like a dream come true! it was a block from the ocean, in charming old town and right above the sweetest bakery/restaurant and flower market.

nothing at all. it was definitely a lively scene right below so if you are wanted a quiet and traditional resort hotel then this is not for you but in my mind it was absolutely lovely.

The stairs in the room look cool on the picture, however they are rather dangerous as there is no handrail. I wonder how this could have been approved by the building authorities. Breakfast is underwhelming. Wifi signal is weak and with disruptions. Heating is put upstairs so the warm air stays up while it is cold downstairs (this might of course work better in summer when AC is used and the cool air can flow downwards). Location is OK, but very loud because the windows are not well insulated against sound. Also, the door is rather thin so you can hear every step resonating when others use the hallway. The worst part of the experience: Proprietors did not respond to questions sent via the booking.com platform, and they did also not respond when booking.com support reminded them several times. In sum, not recommended.

not clearly shown on pictures, but the toilet seat is standing open and free without dividers as part of the open bathroom concept - can potentially lead to awkward situations when travelling with someone not that close.

Location was excellent..right in the heart of the old town! The room was lovely too and the bed was very comfortable.Breakfast downstairs in the café was lovely too.

I think the stairs up to the bathroom were a bit scary as there was no proper handrail.

Superb

I adored Nice, and the location was perfect. Very close to the bech (1 minutes), and I wanted to stay in Vieux Nice, so it was perfect. It is noisy, as it is facing a market (restaurants at night).
