The beach access was very nice. Very close to the beach.

the room was dirty and very small. the facilities were not very clean either. the worst WiFi i've ever experienced. absolutely pointless to try and use it

Enjoyable stay with decent food and drinks.

Overall, we had a great experience staying at The Beal House. The room was quiet and clean, beds were comfortable, and the view was excellent. It was centrally located to everything you will want to visit. 5-6 min ride to Destin, 2 mins from Fort Walton Beach, 55 mins from Panama City. Hotel was right on the beach, right out your back door, you do have to book an ocean view room because they have rooms that aren't overlooking the ocean, just a FYI. The restaurant was good, food was decent, drinks not bad as well, only negative are the prices are a little high for a hotel restaurant/bar. We will be back.....

Water pressure in the shower, is pretty bad. trickles out..... That does need to be fixed!

Lo que pudo ser maravilloso se quedo en bueno!!

En booking se indicaba que había cocina en la habitación reservada. En el hotel nos dijeron que no. Tras una situación larga y tensa, nos dieron una habitación con cocina al día siguiente y un bono para cenar en el hotel esa noche (nochevieja). Echaban la culpa a bookin y vosotros a ellos seguro.... por favor coordinaros no dice nada bueno ni del hotel ni de vosotros

Highly recommend, but bring your own pillows!

The decor was beautiful and updated, the restaurant and bar on site was amazing, the pool was heated, location was perfect right on the beach & near everything, rooms were very clean, and staff was friendly and helpful

Carts housekeeping rolled around was very loud in the mornings and preferably firmer pillows

Loved the location and the views

The only negative I have is the restaurant. There weren’t that many choices on the menu for breakfast or dinner and the staff barely acknowledged you. And one day of our stay they didn’t even open until 8:00. The food itself was good along with the coffee. I included breakfast with my stay but if had to do it again I would definitely leave that part out.

Nice hotel but there is a lot of room for improvement.

The location was great. Several places to visit were nearby. The staff was great.

The hotel did not have daily room cleaning services as a standard. The hotel restaurant's menu could have been more extensive.

Loved the updated decor. Room was great with large flat screen tv, comfy bed and amazing modern shower. Super close to beach and loved the restaurant in hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Needs better weatherstripping at bottom of doors since the doors face outdoors.

Beautiful hotel, great location, lovely staff.

Room w kitchenette was well equipped and clean. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom a bit crowded but well kept

Parking fee of $15/day seems excessive -- and a surprise upon checking in. Front desk seemed a bit flustered at check-in. Understaffed? But friendly and helpful once they could pay attention.

Will not be coming back!

Nice location; easy access to the beach and the venue for my trip.

Did not feel welcome even prior to our arrival. I received a phone call from the front desk of the hotel (approximately 2 hours) prior to our arrival. The representative, I spoke with, repeatedly told me that my credit card on file kept declining for the deposit due. I knew this to be false, because I just checked my bank account and was looking at the debit transaction she was referring to. She kept telling me “well, it’s not on my end”. She continued by demanding I provide another form of payment, which I couldn’t. Then, upon arrival, that same lady was at the front desk when I checked in. She didn’t even greet me, asked for my name, and then proceeded to tell me about all the extra fees/deposits associated with my stay. Was never greeted with even a hello, a smile…

Beautiful Beach location

On the beach with a friendly and helpful staff! Clean rooms, beautiful view of the gulf, bathrooms stocked with large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion.

It was a bit pricey and if you wanted chairs and umbrellas it was an extra cost.

The server on the first night was great. Very good desserts. Beach was wonderful.

I would say about 90% of the staff was very rude. If you ask a question it was responded back as if you were stupid. The bathroom shower had build up. The sheets on one of the beds was stained

Price too high for small room.

Nice room nice location great view. Beautiful remodel of hotel. They supplied towels for the pool and the beach.

No internet no wifi they have wifi but you can't get on the internet if there's no service. Did not clean or even come to our room in the 3 days we stayed. Had to go to the front desk every day for fresh towels. The fire alarm had a light that strob lit every minute throughout the night. Elevators are extremely slow. There is a seafood restaurant in the hotel that is extremely expensive and made the hotel stink of a fish smell.

Great! Loved the simplicity, everyone is very friendly!

Very impressed. Was unaware that the location had just reopened the Thursday prior to our arriving on Monday, but everyone did great and we enjoyed it more than we thought we would

A little more help could be used for the morning staff, eventually you seen others stepping up to help participate, but we did have to wait a little too long just to check out on our Starbucks drinks we finished in the food lobby

Great Hotel, we had such a good time and will definitely return!

I loved this hotel! Right on the beach, colorful retro decorated. Comfortable and clean room. Staff extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Close to lots of restaurants and things to do. Beach Chairs and umbrellas set out for us each day, cabana bar, pool and must visit swizzle stick bar! Bartender makes amazing drinks, great guy!

Will definitely be back!

Best Western Ft Walton is a great place for a quiet getaway. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the area is quiet. The pool is sparkling clean and the beach is right out the back. The breakfast provided varies every morning, but offers a nice variety.

The friendly staff and the use of umbrellas and chairs. The fact that we were right on the beach. Michael, the bartender at the Swizzle Stick lounge, was awesome .

We truly enjoy our stay in this hotel, good location.

The beach access, breakfast was excellent and the other amenities that the hotel offer like the bar, swimming pool area, providing beach chairs and towels. Overall the hotel was very good.

Great service, location, and value!

Great staff provided excellent service all around! Check in/out , maintenance, and bar staff were great. Breakfast staff exceptional! Location is perfect and access to beach and included beach service (umbrella and 2 chairs) made for a great stay. Rooms are comfortable, but this is a dated building so limited by it's era...low ceilings, small pool, etc. However, property provided an excellent value for a short beach stay at peak time (Memorial Day)
