Location
Unfortunately I was very disappointed with our stay..
When I booked the photos on the website looked great and I was excited for my birthday weekend away.
Upon arrival it looked great and the staff were lovely.
With our room I felt like we were put in the worst room possible the furthest away from anyone (I'm not sure if it's because we had children or not).
When opening the room it had a strange smell like septic possibly from the toilet.
There were cracks in walls, curtains old/dusty & mild mould in the bathroom these are all small things but can make the experience better for people.
The more major things were
- Coffee and tea station not being refilled. There was two coffee sticks one of which had been opened before and the end twisted shut, 1 sugar packet and 1 packet of biscuits.
- Dryer in bathroom was not working properly. After doing a load of washing I tried drying it with the dryer and was unable to get it to work.
- Aircon in the main bedroom leaked all over the bedside table and my partners phone, This wasn't just a small leak either it was large and extended onto the floor aswell.
I'm not one to complain but its disappointing when you travel to Brisbane and pay the money for a night away with family to have a room with so many issues.
We have previously stayed at the Rydges Southbank and will be going back there again.

The locations so close to the tho bf a we had booked in south bank
The pool. Online it shows a nice pool with a city view and you don’t get that. I think it’s a little bit wrong to have that photo up when it’s not what your getting from the hotel

Location
I recently stayed at the riverside hotel in Brisbane, this hotel is rated a four star, I booked this online as the four rating is appealing and it had photos that showed a reasonable modern hotel with nice facilities. I was however very disappointed, on arrival the location was rundown and very dated, the rooms where poor, bathrooms are dated and in disarray, mould is present and ingrained dirt in the tiles. The shower head constantly fell down, when reported they would tighten it only for it to drop the following day. They ran out of towels every second day with none available for use at the pool. The carpets are dirty and housekeeping never vacuumed the room during our stay, the fridge had broken shelves so limited space to store anything. they didn't restock any toiletries or coffee/tea. they didn't take notice of the amount of guest per room which required us to notify them daily of needing extra towels for the room occupancy. There is no room service, the mattresses were old and sunk in the middle, the air condition struggled to maintain a temperature and was very noisy, the balcony was dirty and very small with no actual usability. Our TV didn't work and it was two days before we were believed and it was replaced only to have it not access normal live channels no channel nine or ten. On one day our room was not cleaned at all yet they stated the housekeepers marked it as cleaned, I had to negotiate to get clean towels in the evening (likely due to them not having enough)
Overall the experience has been poor, when I googled reviews for this hotel post arrival I can see I am not the only one, it can’t possibly meet the criteria of a four star hotel, this is misleading and requires a review. I put through a complaint to QTIC Accreditation who have confirmed that this hotel is not an accredited four star location.

The pool was nice.
The price was good
I didn’t like the noisey fridge, and the room was very tired, especially the bathroom. I also didn’t like the fact anyone off the street could walk in the separate part where we were and come up to our level. I would feel safer in the main part of the hotel, but we were in the separate building. Also lots of noise from the factory across the road early Saturday morning.

Was so close to Suncorp stadium.
I thought it was a little bit expensive. Rooms need more milk, coffee etc.

Comfortable apartment. Nice and light. Great location. Free parking. Easy to check in. Nice bar downstairs and beer garden.
A little chair and table on balcony would have been nice.

Great value for money for the location, just 10 minutes walk to all the great restaurants of South Bank and closer for the museums and galleries. Friendly staff. The free parking was a great bonus.
The bed was hard as a rock, extremely uncomfortable so neither of us got much sleep.

The location was quite good, walking distance to South Bank and central city.
The room was ok but the bathroom was in a poor state.
We tried to use the laundry and after 4 hours of using the dryer and 2 rounds of payments we found out it was not in working order and was not offered our money back that we had been stacking the machine.
Someone had taken a dump in a planter container beside the laundry also.

Nothing
Staff was very dour. The room was very dark with only one entrance light and a couple of bed side lamps. No Foxtel considering the price. Everything shut with bars at 10pm couldn't get ice from anywhere. Absolute rip off.

close to Southbank
it’s very old and bathroom and all areas were rundown, even a stain in toilet bowl
