While we enjoyed the area and beautiful lake, this property was not something we enjoyed at all.
The stairs, so many stairs, that are all different and not well made, or well maintained, both inside the house and outside. The porch slopes dangerously. The “water front property “ access to the water is horrendous, the stairs are a death trap with an easy three flights down after crossing the road to get too. This made using the lake undesirable. The dock and fire pit were nice.
The designated parking for your vehicle is in a ditch, if your vehicle is low to the ground, say good bye to your under carriage. The house smells of damp dog musk. The beds were all uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The shower is very small. And there is no washer or dryer, as was listed. And only to add insult to injury our “welcome gift” had dryer sheets and dish washer tablets in it, and no dryer and definitely no dish washer on sight.
All in all an old family cottage that has had no updates done to it in 20+ years, and it shows.
The house keeper seems to be the only one doing their job well here.
We do not recommend this place to anyone with small children and or walking issues.

Affordable and perfect for what we needed. Pretty secluded with all of the trees. The place was clean. Nice to have dock access. Water is deep enough to dive off the end of the dock. Fire pits were nice. Smelled like an old house. Stairs are pretty steep and there is an area walking up to the house that has exposed roots/rocks, so if you have older people with you who aren’t as steady on their feet, they might have some anxiety getting up to the place and down to the beach. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in this charming place because of the beautiful beach with lots of greenery and privacy as well as a great place for a bonfire. I didn't give five stars because the house and the stairs to the lake require renovation, but we would still come here again because of this lovely beach, a lot of privacy, nice dog-friendly people around and an affordable price.

If you’re looking for luxury, this is not the place. Cottage is old and basic but comfortable. It was also much more affordable than the fancier places for rent. Kitchen has what you need and we found the furniture comfy. I was in smaller bedroom and loved the soft mattress but if you like firm you might have trouble. We loved the private beach area with fire pit and the lake is beautiful. As many other reviews have said this is not the place for anyone with mobility issues. There are multiple sets of stairs up to the cottage from the road and the beach is across the camp road down about 30 steps. In addition, the stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor are steep and narrow.
All in all we stayed for 2 weeks and had a great time. We didn’t mind the steps on a day to day basis (just tough to move everything in and out on arrival and departure)

After reporting an overwhelming odor in the cottage to our host, eight large bags of moth balls were removed from the small cottage. My family became sick and immediately left the premises. Due to the irresponsible property owner and host, our physician sent one family member to have bloodwork done upon our return home. One of our dogs also vomited, we needed to contact our veterinarian. The negligence of the host/owner compromised the safety of our family. Instead of a restful vacation we were recovering from a horrible nightmare!

The property was set in a beautiful setting. We appreciated all of the shade trees. The upstairs bedroom area was comfortable and clean. The living area, kitchen, and downstairs bathroom was clean, but the furniture and area rugs smelled of dog. This property is difficult for older people due to the number of steps both up and down from the house and up and down from the lake. Thank you.

Area is beautiful. Place needs some SERIOUS updating. If you don't care too much about the aesthetics of your rental, then it was fair. Property management was VERY responsive to all our needs. Property management team were easy to get a hold of and quick to address any needs or concerns that popped up. You may have to leave a message sometimes, but they return calls quickly.

Great property. It was just what me and my teenage children needed. Lake access. Nice covered porch and also a outdoor grassy area with choice of charcoal or gas grill. All the appliances I needed to cook indoors as well. Only negative about this property is the amount of stairs to get to the water. If you don’t mind stairs, this property is a gem.

Property had lots of steep stairs to the cottage and down to the lake. The beds were just horrible. Cottage was superficially clean but all furnishings were worn and very dated. Positives for us were the large dining room table, the large dock on the lake and the porch.

The cottage was as it was advertised online: an older home high up on a hill on the east side of Keuka Lake. We all navigated the many stairs up from the street and down to the lake. The cottage has a roomy living/dining room and a nice front porch with picnic table and several chairs. The kitchen is small, but has all the amenities (except a dishwasher). The cottage was clean, except for the dirty towels and sheets left on top of the chest of drawers in one bedroom, and a bag of trash left on the top of the chest of drawers in another bedroom when we arrived. Also, the linoleum floors were very dirty, obviously not mopped in a very long time.

Not bad. Would do it again. Kids enjoyed it! Lots of steps, but worth it!

Top bunk was unusable as it didn't have rails or a ladder. My daughter slept on the couch. The stairs that go to beach are gravel which were all washed out. I spent a few hours refilling them to make it safe for my kids who were really wanting to get to the lake. Not sure why it was left like that... but your welcome.
If it wasn't for the flooding of the lake due to non-stop rain it would've been a pretty good week.

We loved getting together with friends and family on the shore of Keuka Lake. It was a great stay. We loved having our dogs with us, too. A word of caution for those with mobility issues, there are a lot of steps, and the ones inside the cottage are very steep.

Fun family time. There are many steps that MUST be utilized to access the house and lake, just as an FYI there is no alternative route to access either

This unit is old and looked charming in the photos, but on arrival the impression is less charming and more tattered, worn and outdated. The place was not cleaned before our arrival - there were filthy dishes festering in the sink. The galley kitchen is sorely under stocked with any usable cooking supplies. It is almost impossible to prepare even the simplest of meals with pots and pans that should have been sent to the landfill rather than stocking a vacation home. The rug hadn’t even been vacuumed. Two of the bedrooms did not have a functional light. The property manager, when called, arrived within fifteen minutes and saved our day. The entire property management staff were amazingly responsive. They helped us determine that the hot water heater was nonfunctional, and when there looked to be no hot water in our future there they promptly moved us to another unit. Unless this owner does something very major to update this home, I recommend not to book a stay here. The location is lovely and the basic home is charming but it needs major renovation/updating to make it fit for a week’s stay.

quaint, outdated, but quiet
Quiet location, allowing animals was a huge plus! The dock was in nice shape and big. But double bed felt like it was 30yrs old with springs poking(me and my wife ended up sleeping in the bunk beds), stairs to lake need serious maintenance. Pots, pans, and cooking untensils were horrible! (old and or cheap).Only cleaning supplies were a bent dust pan and an overfull vacuum. Pictures showed a fire pit by house- there wasn't. Description said propane grill- It was charcoal. A drinking water filter in sink would of been great. I'd rate it 3.5 out of 5. again dock, animals allowed, and location are huge!

Perfect Family lake getaway
So close to the water, beautiful sunsets, very quiet. Keuka is a very peaceful lake, but so close to the wineries. This house had plenty of room for the 4 of us and our 2 dogs. Neighbors were very friendly. We woke up and went swimming every morning, then hit up wineries, the wine fest and the Grass Roots music festival. Close enough to drive to everything, but not so close that it was busy. House was clean and linens were provided, along with extra pillows and sheets/blankets. We really had an amazing time. Very peaceful and accomodating!

Affordable and pleasant finger lake living!
Beautiful private property, clean and cozy. Loved the location of this home, however the amount of steps and the steepness of the grade of steps for my 72 yr old parents make me a little weary to recommend to everyone. The only entrance to this quaint cottage is to take 25 steps up (that includes taking luggage and groceries)! There is a driveway up to the home but renters are not allowed to use it...Once we got over the shock of the entryway we had a great time. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans, no spices bring your own! Charcoal grill which was fine but we were told it had propane. One bedroom had AC would have been nice to have each room with a window unit. We loved the lakefront and private feel of this quaint cottage. Would definitely go back to Keuka!!! Thanks for the amazing time
