While we enjoyed the area and beautiful lake, this property was not something we enjoyed at all. The stairs, so many stairs, that are all different and not well made, or well maintained, both inside the house and outside. The porch slopes dangerously. The “water front property “ access to the water is horrendous, the stairs are a death trap with an easy three flights down after crossing the road to get too. This made using the lake undesirable. The dock and fire pit were nice. The designated parking for your vehicle is in a ditch, if your vehicle is low to the ground, say good bye to your under carriage. The house smells of damp dog musk. The beds were all uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The shower is very small. And there is no washer or dryer, as was listed. And only to add insult to injury our “welcome gift” had dryer sheets and dish washer tablets in it, and no dryer and definitely no dish washer on sight. All in all an old family cottage that has had no updates done to it in 20+ years, and it shows. The house keeper seems to be the only one doing their job well here. We do not recommend this place to anyone with small children and or walking issues.

Affordable and perfect for what we needed. Pretty secluded with all of the trees. The place was clean. Nice to have dock access. Water is deep enough to dive off the end of the dock. Fire pits were nice. Smelled like an old house. Stairs are pretty steep and there is an area walking up to the house that has exposed roots/rocks, so if you have older people with you who aren’t as steady on their feet, they might have some anxiety getting up to the place and down to the beach. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in this charming place because of the beautiful beach with lots of greenery and privacy as well as a great place for a bonfire. I didn't give five stars because the house and the stairs to the lake require renovation, but we would still come here again because of this lovely beach, a lot of privacy, nice dog-friendly people around and an affordable price.

If you’re looking for luxury, this is not the place. Cottage is old and basic but comfortable. It was also much more affordable than the fancier places for rent. Kitchen has what you need and we found the furniture comfy. I was in smaller bedroom and loved the soft mattress but if you like firm you might have trouble. We loved the private beach area with fire pit and the lake is beautiful. As many other reviews have said this is not the place for anyone with mobility issues. There are multiple sets of stairs up to the cottage from the road and the beach is across the camp road down about 30 steps. In addition, the stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor are steep and narrow. All in all we stayed for 2 weeks and had a great time. We didn’t mind the steps on a day to day basis (just tough to move everything in and out on arrival and departure)

After reporting an overwhelming odor in the cottage to our host, eight large bags of moth balls were removed from the small cottage. My family became sick and immediately left the premises. Due to the irresponsible property owner and host, our physician sent one family member to have bloodwork done upon our return home. One of our dogs also vomited, we needed to contact our veterinarian. The negligence of the host/owner compromised the safety of our family. Instead of a restful vacation we were recovering from a horrible nightmare!

The property was set in a beautiful setting. We appreciated all of the shade trees. The upstairs bedroom area was comfortable and clean. The living area, kitchen, and downstairs bathroom was clean, but the furniture and area rugs smelled of dog. This property is difficult for older people due to the number of steps both up and down from the house and up and down from the lake. Thank you.

Area is beautiful. Place needs some SERIOUS updating. If you don't care too much about the aesthetics of your rental, then it was fair. Property management was VERY responsive to all our needs. Property management team were easy to get a hold of and quick to address any needs or concerns that popped up. You may have to leave a message sometimes, but they return calls quickly.
