Stay was great. Booking.com is garbage.

Breakfast was fine because we make our own. Location is superb!!!

Booking.com is an absolutely horrible service. They would not send the confirmation to me until I downloaded their app. So I tried to download their app and they wanted to remove half of the apps on my phone in order to put their app on it. I refused. I will not use booking.com again.

Disappointing

The host was responsive, and very accommodating to our late arrival time. The view from the property is it’s only saving grace.

The booking.com pictures do not match the apartment you get at all. The place is not clean. Upon check in, the host sat on the stairs and refused to let us into our rooms until we paid the 100 kon per person hidden charge for bed linens… ridiculous.

Better than camping…

It was available when everything else in Flam was booked out… The views are incredible. Short drive to Flam Fully equipped kitchen for home cooked meals. Pretty responsive to messages and the young girl who showed us in was friendly.

Lots of complaints in the other reviews, mostly justified if sometimes a bit harsh. It’s better than nothing. 200NOK extra fee for sheets and pillows is not anywhere in the ad or policies and just sprung on you on arrival. That should be against the booking.com policies, if not illegal. Only small transparent curtains, which is a problem when the sun is up from 4am-11pm. The beds are a bit creaky and the mattresses are thin and not super comfortable. The bathroom has a pretty terrible smell and the shower doesn’t drain properly and fills with water. The shower head is broken and poorly fixed with duct tape so it can’t really be adjusted. A small amount of maintenance and effort and this place would be incredible, but the reviews clearly show that nothing has changed in years. The price is pretty high and the only justification seems to be the lack of other accomodation in a region with only very small towns.

Great location, unfortunate accommodation

The location is absolutely gorgeous and the view stunning.

The bathroom is not actually located inside the unit and smelt like sewerage. The shower was broken during our stay. Hiring linen incurs a separate cost and cleaning is expected on leaving the property. The curtains were completely sheer which made sleep difficult due to the long days. Foam mattresses on the beds were very uncomfortable.

Very good

1. The host is very responsible. I didn't arrive until 10:30 in the evening due to an unexpected situation on the road. The host stood at the door and waited for our arrival. 2. The location has an excellent view, the window is facing the fjord, which is fascinating.

Extremely uncomfortable and disappointing.

The view was pretty but that’s it.

We got no instructions on how to check in as mentioned in the confirmation. The parking was just a pull out place off the main road and quite dangerous since there was car/bus traffic. The approach road to the house is very slanted and again dangerous to walk with luggage. Upon check in, we were told to do an entire cleaning with vacuuming/mopping/cleaning dishes and putting them back in cabinets, etc. when there is no mention of cleaning on the house policies. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and very creaky. The bathroom smelled of raw sewage and it was absolutely impossible to use. We messaged the owners about this issue and got no response. We have been on tour here for 3 weeks and in our entire stay this was the worst property we stayed at. Overall, don’t stay here. It’s not worth the price you spend.

Good

Excellent view and location. Fully equipped kitchen. Nice balcony with chairs and a table. Good sofa. Ok value for money.

No basic kitchen supplies (salt, sugar, oil, etc.) No pictures of the inside of the apartment in Booking so it was a bit toss of a coin to what you get. The bed is not comfortable. The shower is somewhat moldy.

Fantastic location with amazing views in a beautiful area. Great place for walking. The accommodation is spacious with 2 balconies.

Fantastic location and very good apartment.

Location was awesome. Very nice outside seating area. Spacious interior. Good kitchen.

No oven. Infotainment wasn't very good. You could hear the upstairs visitors move and talk, cloud be annoying if there were kids.

A shame appartment and a disrespectful owner

Location is very nice, but is the only positive point

A real shame. Is it offered as an appartment, but it is like the grandfather´s house that is used for the "stupid" tourists that expend a lot of money in a "house" in Norway. There is no privacy because the house is splitted in two "appartments", one in the ground floor an another one in the first floor. The stairs gives access to the different rooms (kitchen, bedroom 1 and bedroom 2). You need to exit to he stairs to change between rooms and no key are present in the rooms. Doors and windows are really old and rusty. Pillows are completely full of disgusting spots. As the lodging do not comply with the information offered in booking, I demand to talk with the responsible (as they have sent her 15 years old daughter for the checkin) and she arrives ina very bad humour and with agressive and bad respect behaviour. She used the prepaid method to catch your balls and to avoid any responsabilities for the awful appartment she offered. We need to discard this terrible place with a disrespectful owner, and try to find any other location in August in Norway close to Flam (impossible at the end as all lodging options are full). Be careful and do not throw your money at he rubbish....

Close to Flam, good option for a one night stay

Very kind hosts who were there to meet us to help us get the keys and explain everything about the house. They were even nice enough to come back and bring towels which we forgot to request in our initial booking

To my knowledge, there were no parking instructions or guidance about finding the house so we had to call our hosts, who were helpful. Parking was on the side of the road which was a little concerning since the road was narrow and cars frequently went by.

Postcard-like experience for a great price

We had the red house. It's a picturesque house in an absolutely amazing location. One could just stare out the window or sit on the porch and admire the fjord all day. We regretted that we only booked one night! Other than the view it's a very cozy house that we will remember fondly, especially at the price we had (ca. 150 Euro for a party of 3 plus one baby).

There was some confusion regarding getting to the correct house. The address indicated here is for one of the properties but not the one we've booked. Fortunately a couple of phonecalls resolved this issue. Also of note bedsheets and towels are provided for a price - I may have missed this information on the website but in any case it should be a bit more visible.

A dream place!

Spectacular terrace overlooking the Aurlandsfjord - that's what you pay for. A perfect place for a romantic dinner, a long evening and a great breakfast. An unforgettable rainbow over the fjord...

In such a location, little things that you can complain about, do not matter. The location compensates for all inconveniences

Stunning views, but value for money not given

The view is stunning, and the location convenient.

The apartment is aged, bed was creaky. Also, for the price, I don't expect to have to clean the floors and shower, and change the own sheets and vacuum the place to get it ready for the next guests!

Very good

Perfect location. In kitchen you can find everything you need to cook nice dinner. Views from house and terrace looked amazing. Having morning coiffe with fresh air - all you needed!

Plunging in shower was not the best. After shower I spent an hour to clean up all water from floor cause water was not going down through shower pipes. Also you can hear people from other apartment.

Whole cabin near Stegastein with great view!

Unbelievable breathtaking view!!! It's red cabin right next to road (no. 48). There was kitchen with oven, coffee machine, kettle, fridge....living room, and 3 bedrooms (totally 6 beds) with traditional folk furniture

I don't need to clean the apartment after check out.

I felt terrible. The owner are no friendly. I need to clean the apartment after check out. Very expensive but the location is good. They want to come and charge extra shits and coverbeds, and they don't want to clean. There are hairs in the beds.
